  1. Yeah, tile nibbler was exactly my thought (by way of glass grozer {which is a more specialised version of the same thing}), probly some casting crud left behind which was taken off with a tad too much enthusiasm. AW CS has always been good to me also, so i expect they'll replace it as soon as they get to your place in the queue.
  2. I paid $83 posted for something similar from profarmy and felt that was an exceptionally good deal, so yeah i'd say go for it. Oops, should explain - the suit i bought is by Bars, which is not military issue afaik.
  3. Following Chock's suggestion, I quieted my Сплав harness: I couldn't use the RC fuel line Chock suggested because it didn't have a wide enough bore. This stuff is 4mm internal diameter, which means it's a doddle to push round the bend of the 3.55mm steel. Got it from here. Only time will tell if the weight will make it wear through in 5mins, but so far it seems fine.
  4. If you did shoot someone with a shotgun or a crossbow, unless that person was carrying something with which they could reasonably be expected to succeed in killing you were they to attack, you would quite rightly be going to jail for murder. The fact that they are in your house is neither here nor there, as it should be. Being afraid because you have watched too much TV is no excuse for ending somebody's life. Just imagine what the consequences would be if 'Castle Doctrine', the idea that your home is inviolate and you can kill anyone whom you claim was an intruder with impunity, was the law. You could invite someone into your home, after secretly breaking a window from the outside, and kill them - there are psychopaths who would consider that a legitimate way to advance their career, bankers and their ilk. I mean yeah, bankers so fuck 'em, but you get the idea...
  5. My googlefoo is weak. Please give us the link.
  6. It would look good with something yellow on it... JCB
  7. gotta respect anyone who can try to arrest somebody wearing yellow booties
  8. There are a few deals around like this usually aimed at new cadets. There is/was one including boots and vinyl DPM waterproofs for £40.
  9. My Soviet Paratrooper loadout: KIT LIST: Berezka bandana Customised ESS Advancer V12 (mesh replacement lenses) boooo hissssssssssss! Berezka KZS 2 piece suit VDV Telnyashka (striped vest) RD-54 (backpack & harness) Soviet prototype pig's bladder hydration system Faux leather Soviet soldiers' belt VDV 4 cell AK mag case (carrying 4 plum AK-74 midcaps + 1 more in gun) 2 cell + pocket 1st aid pouch (holding Thunder B CO2 grenade, smoke bomb, Cook's Matches striker & spare shotgun primers) Customised GP-7 respirator bag (dump pouch) Leather Pistolet Makarova holster Soviet prototype yak hair seat pad Warsaw Pact cold weather liner pants & braces Soviet prototype bakelite kneepads (Hatch Centurion under KZS kecks) German para boots (smuggled across the Berlin Wall) Morena my modified CYMA CM.048 AK-74 Umarex Makarov with PPS refillable bulb approx 355FPS when filled with CO2 only, which is fine at Skirmish (368FPS hard limit without MED) Ohshiboom impact BFG w/ shotgun primer adapter (in 1 cell of RD-54 grenade pouch / lighter and sweeties in other cell) Bunch of MK5 pyros in 1 cell of RD-54's 2 cell AK mag pouch (couldn't get NH_Shooter's MK5 holders to look right on this rig, so just used the striker on a bit of velcro around the left RD-54 shoulder strap) CYMA AK-74 flash mag hicap in the other cell of the RD-54's mag pouch Bubblewrap filling the side pockets of the RD-54 to bulk it out. Unknown make modified mesh 1/2 face mask. Modified knock off Oakley gloves. This loadout really needs a rubber AK-74 bayonet. A rubber spade would be even better, but this RD-54 does not have the upside down spade pouch on the back, although I expect I could sew one of the normal Soviet spade covers onto it.
  10. What are you using to replace the dead pyro fuses, Pyro?
  11. I went to a Lincolnshire Airsoft event in a quarry - the site was great, but hardcore on your gear, but the player marshals were the worst cheats on the field. It got so bad in the end that we left part way through the afternoon. Black Hills Airsoft nr Chesterfield - good woodland site with mixed woods, bushes, and clearings and mixed topography, great bunch of people; site has only been open since May and needs support; find them on fb here.
  12. It may well be a screen accurate replica (it's been a long long while since i've played), but the distance from the grip to the butt is very short. Preying Mantis Squad are go!!!
  13. 1hr 45mins til i leave for Skirmish - Soviet Afganka loadout / excited as a kid whose balls have just dropped :D

    1. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

uhhm erhh yeah ok take ya word on that - now play nicely with others and try to make friends - unless they don't take hits then light them little bastids up

  14. What, for using a hanky as as a sling to launch steel death?
  15. Spent this afternoon messing about with Svetlana... ooh er, missus! My SVD. I put a Maple Leaf 60° hop rubber in her t'other day but hadn't had a chance to test her with the BB King white 0.4g and Welts white 0.43g BB's - the result = instant jams. After a lot of faffing about I've discovered that it isn't the hop rubber, or me, it's that neither of these BB's are round enough for PDI 6.01mm TBB's. TBH I'd heard this already about the BB Kings and also tested it for myself, but I was horrified when i got my digital callipers on the Welts - variations of 0.02mm in some of the worst ones & overall variations of between 5.94mm and 5.99mm across the board. So it's back to the PDI W-Hold rubber and Blaster Devils 0.3g BB's for me. Shit.
  16. Did you not read the OP? His barrel is bent!
  17. Yeah Sergey. He's mates with Ian "Taz" Stokes. Is that a Butan coat, Chock? If it's the one i'm thinking of they also made a liner for them - Russian winter yes / anytime in UK lol
  18. IIRC soviet-propaganda are pretty expensive - are you a member of Russian Military Loadouts UK on fb? That's the place to get advice on who has what at the best prices. For eg someone put a link up on there to someone selling AK smersh rigs for €79, but there's shipping on top of course. Actually i have fucking remembered whom it is - woothefuckhoo! Here - he's well connected amongst the Rus-softing community so you can trust him.
  19. My fav so far is my L1A1 SLR - perfect position and size to be operated by my thumb without changing my grip at all, but my Ares L1A1 is such a pig that I haven't skirmished it enough to know if it is prone to being knocked rubbing against my gear. I suspect it may be, because it does have a proper press pad for your thumb. I'm very tempted by the JG SA58 which has a similar selector without the big press pad... but then again, it's on a long list of guns i want so i don't anticipate getting one any time soon
  20. Oh yeah, i forgot to mention it's also on the strong and unsubtle side I think it goes well with cheese and oatmeal crackers, or 70-80% cocoa chocolate.
  21. This is the right place to look for vests/rigs. I can't find smersh, but some of the stuff doesn't have pics and who knows what google translate makes of whatever they may call the individual parts of a smersh rig. I do know that "shops & stores" are magazines and "cases" are pouches. Best bet is to email them: [email protected] and the woman you want is called Anastasia.
  22. I'm not expecting either package until the new year, but I have no firm data to base that on, just experience of ordering stuff from Russia before. Much of the gear that Profarmy sell is Russian military gear and while the stereotype here in the west is that it is crap, in my experience it is at least as good if not better than western counterparts. Manufacturers I can personally vouch for are Splav, SSO & SPOSN, but for things like smersh rigs for eg there have been changes in the fabrics used and some older types are reputed to be better than newer, although I suspect some of that is snobbery among collectors, because my RPK Smersh pouches are new and made from good quality cordura-esque nylon (approx 600 dernier) and well stitched.
  23. You are correct, if something is not fit for purpose you are entitled to a full refund. To get them to give it to you, you may need to speak to someone from Trading Standards of your local council, but simply quoting the relevant law to the retailer may be enough. The thing is, the TR16 is a decent gun in essence, it's just that G&G's foray into supplying guns with MOSFETs hasn't worked out well. You would probably be better having them fit a different MOSFET - fire-support are selling Gate Electronics Pico SSR2's at the mad sale price of £10 + £3.50 P&P so you could get one of those posted to your retailer (assuming it isn't f-s) and have them fit it for you, which they certainly should do for free. To be fair they really ought to have replaced the poxy thing with something fit for purpose themselves at no extra cost to you right away, rather than another of the poxy G&G efforts, and you may get some traction arguing that point with them. Even a £20 airfet from ebay would do the job very nicely.
  24. I find the fire selector of AR-15 variants difficult to operate fully. My hands are quite large but my fingers are disproportionately longer, so when it comes to moving it back, where on a G36 i would use my index finger knuckle on the opposite side of the receiver, I have to move my whole hand partly off the pistol grip. But where people often complain about the ergonomics of AK's, I can operate the controls with my trigger finger without shifting my grip much at all. It would have been a right ballache if i'd fancied an M4 and bought one before ever holding one.
