I reckon I've met all 60 of the blokes who were.

    Insert rookie numbers meme here

But anyone can (and too many do) claim to be "ex UKSF, obviously can't go into too much detail".

Unless there are names and origin stores attached, eyebrows do tend to get raised after a while.

    This.

Good luck with the fund raising though, it's always good to see the smaller less well known charities getting some support

Seconded for these being a great bit of kit. I've tried different kit for lugging stuff around on the field and always end up going back to my one. They're lightweight, durable (mine's almost as old as me but in far better condition) and easily hold enough to get you through a game

As others have mentioned, hydration is a big factor on lessening how knackered you feel. One thing I found was that if I carry a water bottle I'll often forget to take on water till I feel thirsty which means I'm already dehydrated. For me a camelback helps as I tend to take smaller drinks more often

  3. Apologies for the double post.

Another great day at Ambush Airsoft yesterday. Hit taking was on the whole pretty good with only a couple of moments which made me think wtf, but nothing a few follow up shots didn't sort out. On the downside my AK decided to stop working after chrono and for some weird reason my totally stock WE P99 was chronoing at 16 joules (no that's not a typo) so went straight back in the bag and I used the shotgun as a back up.

I would save the rats piss comments for the Coors and Budweiser's of this world though, Stella ain't that bad

I suppose that's true. I know Stella isn't the same nasty stuff it used to be, but why let that get in the way of being a bit of a beer snob. This is my poison for tonight

Anyway, I fit 2 aegs, a pistol and a shotgun with mags along with everything else into a deployment bag and gun bag.

I could use something smaller than the deployment bag, but I like being able to just chunk everything in it at the end of the day, rather than faffing about trying to make everything fit

Bejaysus, I mind walking to the car if I've parked it an extra 6" away from the kerb 😁

The OP mentioned he's got his own guns and kit, I'm really not sure I could get much stuff around on a bus or train, especially in gun-shaped carriers....   not saying it's impossible, as you've obviously managed it, but it's not going to be easy is it?   I struggle to get my regular purchases of Stella Artois back from the car to the house 🤡

I'll photograph my kit later when it's packed up ready for tomorrow to show what I'm lugging about.

If you're going to drink that rat piss then you deserve to struggle

Public transport is rubbish. I couldn't even get a job next town and turn up at 7:30 on a daily basis because it's so unreliable. I can't really imagine how somehow could manage to play airsoft on different sites on a regular basis. Big cities may be different but around here no chance.

Been doing it since I started playing as I've never learnt to drive. It can be restricting for sites further away but you just have to put in a bit of effort and be willing to possibly walk a couple of miles. It also means I have to think about what kit and guns I'm going to take

Edit: I don't live in a big city either

I didn't realise Germany was so strict.

Sorry but I nearly spat out my beer laughing at that (yes I know it's not even 9am but I've been working nights so to me it's nearly bed time)

You also have to resist laughing when the German plod demand your papers,

Or say your gandfather didn't have to show papers when he visited in his younger days

Only if you contact him on Facebook to offer him the lift that he's oh-so-subtly asking for... ;)

If only there was some kind of transit system where for a small fee you could travel on set routes at set times to where you want to go. Maybe a large vehicle which can hold up to 50 odd people and travels on the roads, or prehaps something even bigger which has it's own rails

There are some women in airsoft - I was photographing a paintball tournament which was on the same day as the skirmishing.

In the morning there was a commotion in the staging area, as everyone turned to look at the car park and I heard the immortal words …..

”They’ve got women in airsoft now!!!”

Or to be more accurate - there was one

  11. I've only played there once but definately enjoyed myself and would go back if it wasn't such a ball ache to get to. One aspect I really liked was that you have a good mix of short and long engagement ranges so you can be sneaky or pick people off (or at least try) from a distance. If it's a warm day make sure you take planty of water as the steep hills can be knackering

it's only a matter of time before we get another run of scammers trying their luck

I think it's started. There's a guns wanted ad which has been replied to with the piece of paper with the name of the guy selling on it but the text doesn't follow the creases on the paper

I have been looking at different guns already and do really like the love of the Krytac range but until I try out different guns I may be wrong with the idea in my head of game styles I would like to play. I imagine this to be a lot different to paintballing.

I'd say that's the right attitude, I'm  sure I'm not the only one who's liked the look of a gun and splashed the cash, only to find out it doesn't suit my play style. For example I prefer SMGs or carbines as I like to be sneaky and a long gun doesn't help when trying to get through thick bushes etc

You'll talk to people with different setups and get to hold and shoot some other toys if you ask nicely.  This will help you better decide what you'll want to get for yourself.

This. Most airsofters love to talk about and show off their kit, in fact it's probably harder to get them to shut up about it
