    THE TM MWS thread

So....... I understand that the MWS being a gas system is able to push a heavier BB further and straighter at the same energy vs an AEG. My question is all things being equal, does anyone have any experience throwing a heavy bb .45g up etc with a DMR power MWS vs the a spring sniper. ( 1.49j vs 2.31j ) What different in range differences are people seeing and are they as accurate as a upgraded sniper? The reason I ask is that I have a very nice sniper rifle, I have many AEG's and I am sure I am going to be convinced to get an MWS in the very near future. BUT I would not be able to run the MWS in anything but as a DMR. Quite franky, the mags would be emptied in 1 squirt if auto was available to me ( It is a sickness ) Set to semi only and with costly ammo in the mags. I think i might be able to control my bloodlust. *admit it. You can hear this gif*
  3. Thank you sir, I have added to my post lock down list. At the moment all i have on it is the FilmSim Coldwar game at Gunman in Jan.
  4. Combat South is my local site and one i have visited the most over the years. Great site, great bunch of people run it and very much missed by everyone in the South. I tend to judge every site now by Combat South, as the standard they need to live up to. Russ is working hard to find a new site. CSW will be back ( sorta )
  5. Hi I was chatting about the hay days of airsoft, when there seemed to be a lot more sites available to use for airsoft. Most have gone the ways of housing estates, which appears to be the grave for most fun locations. So for me. If anyone gives a fuck. Crickhowell - By Stirling Airsoft. https://www.beacons-npa.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/Enclosure-7-Cwrt-y-Gollen-Draft-Development-Brief-12th-may1.pdf This was our regular monthly site and quite frankly has never been beaten. Old Welsh Guard base. Lots of proper mixed use buildings with multiple entry points, varied size rooms, court yards, stair cases. Surrounded by forest and fields. You never ever got a point that you couldn't flank with enough effort and the buildings were just so amazing to fight through.. It brings a tear to my eye that it got shut down to be made into housing. We had access for a good few years and back then the games were run as short story-lined games. Designed with an heavy element of role play but not much more than to give you reason to fight over an objective. The games were always fast, hard and well run. The level of game play was always high and with better class of player than you tend to see today. I think of all the games there, we only ever had a couple of bad eggs and a idiot Liverpudlian, who decided to blow their hand up by throwing back a lit pyro. Light Fighter Sheffield Next Site that I only ever played on once, was way tup north. At an old factory complex, run joint by Light Fighter Airsoft and Stirling Airsoft. It was huge, varied and just incredible to play at. Much the same reason why Crickhowell was so good. Lots of proper buildings, lots of flanking and varied terrain mean you could move tactically and could fight into an area with enough determination, without it being unacceptable because it was a kill box. The Mall - Reading ( earlier days ) Visited this site a bunch of times. Nice and local. Lots of fun and really just worked well as an airsoft site. I went here probably 6-7 times over its lifespan and it is a real shame it is now gone. Really novel place to fight, lots of fun routes in and around the shops. Great little sneak routes, where light discipline was essential. Not sure what happened but it got spoiled by some cheating fuck nuggets. So after one event myself and the rest of the team just packed up and went home, it was just shitty. I went back about 3-4 months later and was mostly filled with filthy casuals, who were there for the yucks and not the game play. Didn't bother again after that. So yeah, that filled 15 mins of my quiet afternoon, while I let a vendor talk to my partners about something really not that interesting to most of you What are your favourite now gone locations and do any of you share the same memories of these sites? Cheers Groot

LMAO that Wisconsin flip. I fucking love American elections - it's better show than any olympics or sport championships.

@Sitting Duck IMHO SCOTUS will dismiss the case - purely because they will pick lesser evil. If Biden wins, republicans will do what they always do - they will look at their feet and carry on with their lives. If Trump wins, BLM riots will be a picnic in comparison. Shame really, I wish republicans had more balls.

Poor americans if Biden wins Antifa is made to feel legit and will get stronger. If Trump wins they will go mad and attempt more ambitious rioting. They need to stomp out all the us against them bullshit and stop these cry babies real quick.

  7. Ordered a few times. Fast delivery and good pricing. Long as it arrives like it should. They do not however give a shit if your delivery gets lost via DHL and will go all sloped shoulders saying that France DHL has refused the claim and then not reply to subsequent emails. While not their fault DHL fucks up. Not helpful when you have to do then do all the legwork in the UK to get someone to help
  8. I just got one of these Fuck me it is heavy, but I truly feel i could bludgeon someone to death with it

  13. Hey Looking to play in a few weeks. Anyone used this site before and got any feedback? We had found another site just about London to visit but a friend said it was a great site filled with absolute twats, so we are avoiding that one Cheers
  14. I started playing Airsoft when the first AEG TM Mp5's and FAMAS's started to be available in the UK. So we are talking 1996ish. I remember the date because I had to lie about my age to get a springer glock from Rebel Troop in Reading. Airsoft back then was pretty comical. Everyone ran a springer except for maybe 1 person who could afford a famas. Very little camo on the whole and people wore those B&Q plastic goggles for protection. The first game I played was somewhere in Reading. Might have been Mapledurham, but its so long ago now. I remember the game well. I had 3 mags. Which meant in relative terms, I was the geardo. We all ran around and shot each other fairly close because not all BB guns back then had a hop. ( The good hop ones had gold barrels.. oooo fancy ) There was one guy there who had a SA80 Springer and because it had a scope on it. We all thought he was the pro'est thing on the planet. There as no chrono but everything else was much the same. I did it for a few weeks and honestly, it was kinda lame. Truly no one had AEG's or any real range back then. Everything good was crazy expensive. An Mp5 AEG back then was about £280 and we are talking 1996. I dropped out for a few years and picked it back up again in about 2001/2. Again went to Rebel Troop and bought a TM M4. 1 Spare Mag, a TN barrel and a silencer cover. Back then people really bigged up the properties of tightbores. Ran it for a couple of games. Sent it to Airsoft Armouries for a power upgrade. It came back and had been modded to take a 9.6 3000 battery in a bag on the stock. ( Ghetto ) From there I played with the same gun for a long time. Still back them no one chrono'd and the rules of airsoft where kind of fluffy from site to site. I finally started going to Stirling Airsoft and they were the best days ever. No real worries about safety or FPS, and no one got hurt as it was still quite a small community. About a year after i got my gun back from AA, it was chrono'd at a game and was running 420fps. Ah fun times. They still let me play at FireFight on that day and just politely asked for me to clip the spring. So how is that for old school airsoft?
  15. I started in a BlackHawk vest very similar to that and honestly it is probably more than good enough for the task. That being said, does it look a little noobie... Well yes.. I have used most loadouts from carrying way to much to being striped down for speed. The two that I tend to use depending entirely on the look i want, since both carry the same. Plate Carriers, of which there are many to chose from are excellent. Feel great on and give you a little protection from the front and back. When you are talking a chest rig I am assume you mean something like a Haley | D3CR- H CHEST RIG or similar. These are super light weight and usually my go to rig. The reality of why it really depends on looks, is because of what you will generally take into a game. Gun, 4 High caps ( I carry 8 mid caps, 4 on rig, 1 on belt, 2 on leg, 1 in gun ) Bag of BB's Dump pouch Maybe a spare battery Maybe water/haribo That is not a whole lot to carry and most of that could be run on a belt rig, so either rig is more than upto the task. So my TLDR answer. Decide on what pretend soldier you want to look like and buy that rig. Looks matter more than function for the most part
