Good Beginner/Intermediate gun that will last.
Groot replied to JVacation's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
@JVacation if i had to sort out a starter to get into Airsoft, I would do the following JG G36 https://www.surplusstore.co.uk/bb-guns/realistic-bb-rifles/by-model/g36-variants.html?product_list_order=price_asc £140 I would spend another £50 or so and get it into a gun tech for a gearbox look over, reshim, regrease, change to deans and change the hop rubber to a maple leaf. Then, bar ammo, batteries and eye pro. You have everything you need to get going. 470 round mag and a solid, reliable AEG, that would be on par with the highest gucci guns on the field. There is a reason that most sites run G36's as hire guns. They just work. Robust, good gearbox and rotary hop. -
Why is gas stored in the magazines?
Groot replied to Charles Gamzer's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Op, run a big dump pouch and just practice your reloads. It' not life and death but you can get pretty quick without flinging your mags to the ground. Trust me.. I am a huge proponent throwing mags around. -
I have these radios, they are really good. I do not pay for a license.. Much like my movies and music

Hello, @quango2k R-04 has painted his MP7. R-02 I have not. His now Both guns will be virtually identical once my grip and bottom rail arrive. Only difference will be the PEQ device and how the light is mounted. The outcome of this poll will decide If I do or do not. Comments Welcome!

Op, I don't entirely agree with you. Something is worth, what someone else is willing to pay for it. Yes. If it's a commodity, then you are at the whim of the market. If it is more niche and you are willing to wait. You will more often than not, get what you want for it. People are just seen used to getting stuff below what it is truly worth, because most sellers seem rather keen to sell something as fast as possible. When I sell something, it is because I have no need for it. Not because I need the money. So I set the price that I want and I wait. Unless I am mistaken about its value, it will sell.

Airsoft bow....would anyone want one?

Surely this makes more sense https://www.gdfb.co.uk/larp-archery-275-c.asp -
You have all the parts you need. Really brands aside, they are all much of a muchness. You could probably forego the barrel. I have build Gspecs with and without upgraded barrels and noticed no difference in accuracy, except in higher FPS with a tighter one. Just be aware that you want your end output to be around 450-460 fps on 0.2s. As with heavier ammo, it can throw it way over site limits with Joule creep.

That is a HPA line way from needing to be purified by holy fire

Huge no. AEPs have a super situational usage. That is up close and to being super duper quiet. Maybe in an arctic winter If you try and build an AEP to provide the same performance as an GBB, it will explode and die very quickly. Your box AEP will fire at around 240-260 fps. Your out of the box GBB on green gas 320-350.

Resists obvious mum joke

Unpopular opinion The TM MP7 GBB ( despite its reduced size ) is better than the MWS. * Easier to load mags * High round capacity per mag * Mags are less temperamental with filling * So darn pointy * So pretty * Pew pew pew KAKAKAKAKKAKAKAKA

I have exactly the same bits and I haven't even bothered worrying to sell them. £20-40 maybe.

Fresh today. Wow... so much money spent, making it look terrible and then inflating the price to sell..

@quango2k has done this and is very pleased with the results.

GBBR have a role and a realism aspect, but a well tuned AEG will be beat them in every way. Except in super heavy rain, where electrics do not fair very well. GBBR's have a cool realism aspect you will not get on all but the very highest end GBLS M4. Which cost around 3-4 times more than an MWS. Even then, the GBBR has the realism edge and a nicer trigger. But you will have to deal with gas temps, purging mags, higher maintenance and much lower ammo counts. All while carrying mags, which weigh a lot more and are relatively fragile compared to an AEG Midcap. I am still yet to be won over by my MWS, which I hope will happen by turning it into a 1.88J DMR running 0.45s I want to love it, but i would rather win

Yes, I would recommend Abbey Predator Ultra Gas. Not come unstuck yet using it but admittedly not run it on the hottest day of the year.
