  1. Got to applaud a spam bot that's so good at seemlessly blending in and going unnoticed. Edit: I don't have the option to report it, just gives me 'Share' when I click the 3 dots. If someone that does have the 'Report' option could please do the honours that'd be ace.
  2. Have seen you try the same joke to no avail a few times now bud, I’m afraid it’s not catching on… mainly because it’s not funny in the slightest.
  3. You’re more than welcome to justify your choice as much as you wish, I just wanted to highlight that you’re making a claim that HPA is going to improve something that it isn’t. I’d strongly recommend you do some proper research and weigh up the positives and negatives. I’m not intending to entirely come across as a prick here (while fully aware I am), but given you’re statement in your previous post it leaps out to me that you perhaps don’t know exactly what running a RIF on HPA entails. I dare say you’re far more worried about the cold weather than you should be, but it seems you’ve got your mind set on it so I won’t waste any further breath. My final piece of advice being, once you’ve tarnished those poor mags with HPA taps I’d probably avoid putting photos of them in here. Lest you be bombarded with ‘Careful Nows’ and burn the witch gifs… and that’s assuming the folks decide to keep it civil 👀. As always, you do you, but it’s probably for the best that you know what to expect.
  4. You've got the perfect clickbait title loaded and ready to go as well... "I Bought A Novritsch SSP1 And It Made Me A Speedsofter 💯💥"
  5. Just took delivery of this, likely overpaid for what my plans are with it… but carry handle A2 uppers seem damn near impossible to find at the moment (and unless CYMA get involved any time soon I can’t see that changing) so when I saw one I scooped it up immediately. In other news, I’m officially in the queue to have said upper grafted onto an MWS upper so I can finally satisfy that itch. Does the fact I bought this simply to butcher the carry handle off make me feel a little guilty? Yes. Will that stop me? No.
  6. Aaaand as an actual contribution, which which I suspect may well be a popular answer... P90's. With the caveat that it doesn't strictly meet your criteria because I have no idea if they're good or not... and I'd hate them irrelevant of that answer.
  7. Aye, it'll be so much easier replacing gas refills with... Carrying a heavy tank on your back Having to disconnect and reconnect a line everytime you reload (or having a drum mag made up, which will just be a significant weight increase) Reducing have easy the RIF is to manipulate because you're tethered to it Having to get your tank filled up Doing maintenance on your HPA equipment to keep it airtight and safe Doing additional maintenance on everything because the air is so dry Yup, a real time saver and increase in convenience 👀. The beneft of HPA is consistency and that's about it, outside of that you're making your life harder versus running it as a regular GBBR.
  8. 👀 And on that note of an officially entirely detailed thread, I’ll go ahead and disappear.
  9. If I was to sum up my feelings on 3 point slings in one image: And just to be clear I only raised my own opinion because it was given as a recommendation when the person making the recommendation hasn’t actually got experience with the thing they’re recommending i.e. combining a 3 point sling and an EVO. I wouldn’t usually be so pernickety but as others have highlighted they’re better on some RIFs than others because of how they get in the way of controls… especially on a RIF with a ‘bolt release’ of sorts. There are literally forum rules regarding giving advice in this regard (yes, I’m aware I’m the only person that actually reads them).
  10. An F2000 is bad enough as it is, combined with a 3 point sling that’s a borderline war crime.
  11. Turn out that I just learned that somehow in 2021 folks are still using, and more worryingly recommending, 3 point slings. Get a 2 point with a quick adjustment tab (Slingster, Trex Arms, Vickers to name a few… I imagine there are clones too if you care to run that gauntlet) and enjoy the aforementioned benefits without any of the draw backs that come with a 3 point. I can think of only one time that it might be worth considering a 3 point and that if you’re hellbent on wanting an MP5 that’s correct to certain time periods. In this instance they’re still overly complicated piles of tangle wank, but at least ‘the look’ is right I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️.
  12. Ahh, another cyclic topic by way of a change. It's nothing to do with the fact it's HPA, an AEG is entirely capable of that sort of overkill. The person using it is the problem, not the tool (though the person using it is evidently a tool, so that's fun). You're just leaning into a self fulfilling prophecy by assuming they're a wanker because they're using HPA, when infact, they're just a wanker. In terms of answering the question: That A2 carry handle receivers are a pain to find That TekLoks (or TekLok equivalents) are amazing in comparison to MOLLE if you switch your belt around a decent amount That ditching any sort of 'theme' to your kit and running what works for you (in my case currently jeans, t-shirt, softshell if I need it and whatever load bearing kit works for what I'm using) gives you so much freedom, which likely sounds really obvious but 🤷‍♂️
  13. Sling setup I’ve landed on for the Krink turned up, first impression is I might prefer it to the Slingster. I guess time will tell, either way the Uloops seem like a really smart replacement for snap hooks and paracord.
  14. It's such a subjective question that any answer is largely moot, seems like you're ultimately trying to get folks to justify whatever decision you're leaning toward... which given the thread you've asked in is likely going to have a fairly biased leaning. So, trying to be objective. Things you'll loose: Mag capacity Being able to use fancy speedloaders without adapters (which often don't work) Being able to treat your mags like crap Having mags which are less than half a kilogram each A larger degree of control over shot to shot consistency in terms of FPS/Joules (depends how well maintained your NGRS is) Not having to worry about weather (that's not to say I've ever found weather to be an issue, but I've definitely had some cold mornings where the drive is spent praying the MWS will run right) Buying some decent batteries and that being a one off cost (assuming you look after them) Easy to source parts, both stock and aftermarket, in the UK Things you'll gain: More 'immersion' Being able to use more RS parts (with some needing modification to varying extents) Very expensive mags Heavy mags (I tend to advise moving to RS pouches/load bearing when moving to GBBRs due the mag weight... may not be necessary, but I certainly don't want a kit failure knackering a £50 mag) The ongoing cost of whatever you choose to power it with Having to order many of the parts you want, both stock and aftermarket, from abroad I'm sure there are more that hairs could be split over, but they feel like the big ones, it's largely 'mag centric' for me. You'll kinda have to pick your poison from there. FWIW I have both, and wouldn't want to be without either. Sometimes I just want a day of light 120 round mags, wang a battery in when I arrive on site and have at it. Sometimes I want to torture myself with 35 round mags and make up for it with a dose of GBBR ASMR. Sometimes I'll do one in the morning and swap over for the afternoon, so from my experience I'd hold onto the NGRS and just do a good ol' fashioned 'save up' for the MWS. But as I said at the top of the post... my opinion is entirely moot because I'm not you.
  15. Booooo, spoil sport. I for one had been thoroughly enjoying being drip fed the entire DCA catalogue without ever having to visit the website (and such, never see those prices).
  16. While aware it is in no way something that can/will/should apply to everyone I found the best fix for the usual suspects of frustration was to ‘fix myself instead’. Not as drastic as it may sound, I simply changed the primary reasons I show up. Those being: A more fun way of getting some cardio in. A chance to meet up with pals. To get out of the house and do something just for me. And coming off a game, more fuel for messing about rearranging my load bearing kit because I thoroughly enjoy ‘chasing perfection’. The actual ‘me shooty, me get ‘kills’, grenade go bang’ side of the hobby is pretty much secondary to me at this point. As long as I can tick off a couple of the above, cardio and getting out of the house being all but guaranteed, I leave a day of pewing happy. Now, folks can absolutely be stubborn with the ‘but I shouldn’t have to’ speech… which is an entirely fine viewpoint. But it isn’t going to increase your chances of enjoying more games than you don’t any time soon. P.S. FWIW I think the prevalence of ‘BB hose, hot gnu and non-hit takers’ are entirely exaggerated in a lot of cases to try justify why folks just didn’t enjoy a day out. I might just be fortunate with the many game days I’ve attended over the years, but I definitely hear about those 3 candidates on the internet more than I’ve ever experience them.
  17. In which case we'll have to agree to disagree in part. I have zero interest in contributing to a brainstorm of ideas which ultimate lean toward my own biases, if it was a 'fixable' side of the hobby it would have been 'fixed' by now... because it certainly isn't new. But I stand by my statement, it does indeed apply generally... because stating that something is subjective is doing just that. Making a statement which seeks to catch everyone within it. The statement I made in no way attempts to draw a conclusion... other than that this is conversation that could literally circle forever. (In no way intending to come across as abrasive or confrontational, just wanted to highlight I'm aware is was a general statement and that this was the intend when I made it).
  18. It's almost as if it's entirely subjective based on the element of the surprisingly diverse yet extremely niche hobby you enjoy most eh? Everytime this conversation comes up in a nutshell:
  19. Largely copy pasting this from a thread where I'd mentioned it previously (with an amendment because I was wrong on the duration). As caveat which is largely nothing to do with the rest of the conversation, unless I'm wildly mistaken, your 3 games that qualify you for UKARA need to take place across a 2 month (56 days between first game and last game) period starting from the date of your first 'stamp'. Add in processing time, which will vary based on when the site submits your information to be added to the database and then you being added to said database essentially mean you aren't immediately UKARA'd upon getting your last stamp... though some sites have on shop sites and will immediately honour it upon earning your final stamp. In the instances where I've been added to the database I've had an email from the site containing my UKARA number... mine being with First and Only my UAKRA starts FAO followed by 5 numbers (so FAO#####). As others have mentioned, mine matches my membership number. As is tradition with any question along these lines, if you're not sure exactly where you are in this process contact the site.
  20. The other, potentially easier, answer is put your optic higher… be that via a riser or just higher mounts. Many ways to skin a cat and all that, just figured it was worth mentioning.
