Yeah bought it brand new was just thinking the movement on the nozzle could mean it doesn't sit flat on the mag but thanks for the reassurance. I ran it on some stronger gas today and wow!

The tolerances are there coz of the nature of the platform. Also don’t use crappy quality bbs. And yes with a much powerful gas the MWS really is something else!

  2. Stop worrying about things. It’s fine. It’s a GBBR. You are gonna drive yourself crazy over things you don’t need to worry about. Lol. When it breaks then worry. In the meantime just enjoy it. Not that we can play at the moment. Meh!

And did you buy it from new? If so nothing to worry about. The MWS is awesome out of the box. Simple.

  3. For those who want to know what power you get from using Abbey Ultra Predator gas (the one that comes in a red can) see the attached pic. I did some testing using 0.3 Geoffs and 0.2 Excels at a temperature of 20c (I do believe). The left side shows a virgin G&P bolt carrier group. On the right is the standard Marui bolt. The max figure for the G&P bolt was 387fps!! With the Marui bolt it was 329fps on 0.2s. Interesting results eh? The mag was filled up each time fresh of course which explains the initial high power.

Yes, I have managed to remove mine with a electric heat gun and 'special tool' I fabribodged at work from some (I think) 26mm OD conduit as seen the the attached pic.  It was quite the horror show, but came off pretty easily once I had got it all clamped in a vice with an AR receiver clam.

I shall be letting the tool go with the set when I flog the MK18 rail, barrel nut, flash hider, front sling loop point, rear stock and sights.

This is the tool I'm on about. One of our members made one.....

yes it’s counterclockwise to loosen, where did you get the tool from? I have the heat gun, but I want a tool that fits all 4 teeth so that the pressure is applied evenly, at the moment I’m leaning towards making one myself with a bit of grinding and welding.

I believe that MK18 barrel nut is the same spec as the standard MWS barrel nut. If so one just needS a metal tube of the correct diameter and then mill out the notches in the tube to fit the barrel nut. Drill a hole out on the muzzle end and then shove a metal bar through it for leverage. Twist. That should do it, surely?

Of course my theory depends upon the MK18 nut being the same as the MWS nut.

Found it brand new and a little cheaper than normal price so pulled the trigger excuse the pun. Thought why not. I don’t often use full auto and not that bothered about having to re-gas if needed.

Only thing is it’s HEAVY. Almost needing a grip heavy but with the stock it’s not too bad.

I have a sight in the garage I will put on and just need a sling mount for the stock and it’s good to go.

I am still on the look out for a second black one I can run with the red furniture and an extended mag for cqb

Video of it dumping in full auto please..... Asking for a friend like...

yep, you just plug the line into the same place the gas can goes.

afaik the issue with those things isn't so much gas as it is bb's, the magazine is the spindle that the barrels rotate around so you gotta spin the gun round to pour ammo into it.

our local has one they're trying to mount onto their site landy, but they've been having some reliability issues (haven't asked them specifically whats up with it)

That probably explains those intermittent issues that chap had when walking around with it at my last but one game. Still it was fun to use and even more fun when the other side just took cover under the barrage.

  8. We seem to be going a tad off topic (nothing new there), so with that spirit in mind, I did see this gun in action and passed judgement on it..

It was bloody awesome!. As soon as that trigger was pulled about 2000 bb's just spewed out in a torrent of plastic barrage... I believe the chap that owned it was using propane to fill it up as I remember the smell of the gas reminded me of my BBQ!

I believe it was stock as I asked him if he'd done any changes to it and he said nothing but an adapter was needed for the propane... one thing I did notice though, it kept stopping intermittently... no ides why but he knew how to resolve the 'jams' pretty quick.

  9. I must confess I do fancy getting an AA-P01 with a gas drum mag just to try it out for a laugh....  obviously useless for woodland unless you're kicking-what's-his-face coz well if he uses one then they must be cool!  However, shove in a long inner barrel and then find a suppressor the size of a donkey's third leg and you may have an awesome little pea shooter.. Yes you can get a 3d printed carbine kit, blah, blah, blah, but then you may as well just using a SMG like a EVO or something similar....

I have not read all the replies but in my opinion.

You 100% need a side arm, because pistols are cool as FUCK!

Well you may use it... Well probably not.. I mean hardly ever..... It will get filled and emptied before and after every event...

Except..... for that super rare time when you need to use it... a herald of angels will be heard as you draw it, you get a kill and it makes everything finally worth it!

You will then walk around with a massive erection and tell everyone in the safe zone about the kill of the year.

You will re-tell it to your family and friends. It will be something you think of fondly, while surrounded by Grandchildren on your death bed.

For this reason, you need a side arm!

You will also need a light to go on it ( which you will also never use ) and a dot sight.

I'm on it dude! I think my decision has been made, just got to sell a few bits and bobs and I'll be getting one, in black of course, that's a no brainer 🤷‍♂️ I'm with you on that awful tan colour! I will report back with my thoughts on it and I'll let you know IF I get bored of it 👍

    Good man 😂

    .

Talking of AA-P01’s I joined the Facebook group and saw this. Seems like the platform is beginning to get a huge following similar to the MK23. I have no HPA equipment myself so can’t really speak about the platform. However a drum mag with loaded up with MAPP gas is something else.

So, I got my MWS today and test firing with some Ultrair gas (all I have atm) its....hot. So I am looking for an NPAS in the UK, any suggestions?

Try some different gas first... Abbey Green for the warmer times and Abbey Ultra Predator (red can) for the colder temperatures.. then see what type of power you get... if that still doesn't satisfy your needs then either a Angry Gun NPA nozzle or a G&P NPAS valve... there is also an RATech one. I have both an Angry Gun and a G&P one. I've only tested the AG one and it works well with no hiccups... (but is surplus to my requirements coz my G&P NPAS will go into my G&P bolt).

  13. Easy solution..... give me the £500 and I'll buy another TM NGRS..... lol

I know this is pot calling kettle black but you don't need to put a shed load of upgrades into a new TM recoil... All you need is a M95 spring from eagle 6 and the TM SOPMOD spanner. A Philips screwdriver and that's actually it.... Oh some good silicon lube too and bobs your uncle.... That's cost a mighty £10 for the spring and £20'ish for the spanner..... That will pump you up to 330fps-340fps....

The Marui spring is literally screwed into the piston head. It simple to change and you can refuse the same piston. I'd also change the air nozzle at the same time though for one with an internal O ring... so an extra £15 (lonex). That will increase you fps by a tad more.... And if yo fancy a purple prommy rubber... why not....

Fire support do a NGRS SOCOM for £363!!!! Yup £363... It's a no brainer.... ;)

Better pic here, looks like Police from the guy on the right but can't work out the sleeve emblem.

     boogaloo-boys-will-continue-their-armed-rally-in-dc-on-sunday-despite-15000-national-guard-troops.jpg?fit=962%2C641&ssl=1

Update, downloaded the pic and zoomed in and the sleeve emblem looks to be Secret Service Uniformed Division. Which would certainly make sense!

Look closely. I swear I can see ‘Made by Tokyo Marui. For Airsoft use only’😂
