    I believe the Rainbow8 issue was actually unrelated to BREXIT (at least directly). More to do with a lack of flights and/or a massive increase to the per kg airfreight rate. I work in shipping and I know our airfreight department are being quoted £16 p/kg on some routes when it was previously more like £1.50. Same with seafreight, it's gone from USD 1000 per 20' container to something like USD 8000.

    Hi and welcome! Have you been airsofting yet? It's always recommended to rent for a few times first. If you're desperate to invest, then good eye protection and boots are normally the priority. In terms of choosing a RIF, it's all down to personal preference when you hold them and see how you get on with the ergonomics of it etc. My long-time favourite is the ASG Scorpion 3A1. It's light but solid, compact yet excellent range and accuracy out of the box.

    Does anyone have experience using 6.01mm inner barrels? That's pretty narrow, so just concerned I may have issues using one in my TM G19 if the ammo isn't the best of the best. Also, it's only 87mm long. Does it have much of an effect on range/accuracy? (Specifically looking at the Lambda ones).

    Yeah just to clarify, the reason I put it like that was you mentioned gifting to "people" rather than "can I buy my son a RIF for him to use" etc. I would still be very careful about who I gave one to, as any misuse could still come back to you.

    It really depends what kind of a person you are. Sounds like you're not confident opening the gearbox but would you enjoy the challenge? I'm much the same but immediately regret trying to do any teching past changing a barrel and bucking. If you're like me, maybe be worth reaching out to a proper tech? If you're more adventurous, hopefully someone with more experience can guide you.

    Do they definitely offer a two tone service or is the gun in question not a RIF anyway?

    He's battling COVID atm, so drop an e-mail and just bear with him. Believe the one on that thread is the old e-mail address and new one is: [email protected] I've used Luke several times and would definitely recommend his services but only if you're patient. He's usually very busy, so your gun goes in to the queue. When your turn comes around though, he's an excellent communicator, calling, sending whatsapp VM's and videos at every stage.

    Long story short, your Brother can legally gift it to you. Just keep it out of public sight and you should be fine. An airsoft site wouldn't ordinarily ask if you "have a UKARA for that"

    I understand why you don't want to skirmish them, especially the Lightning Hawk....however Marui Desert Eagles are amazing guns, I regret selling mine. The range they can reach out is truly staggering.

    Sounds like you positioned the selector incorrectly and the little pin bit is pushing out in the wrong place. See if you can locate it and push it back a bit to allow you to rotate.

    Google "WE M9 mags" There's no difference between their M92 & M9A1 etc mags as they're all the same base gun, being full-auto makes no difference. I've even used KJW M9 mags in mine, TM "should" work too as they're both clones of that one.

    Let's all just get along and take anything on here with a grain of salt, for mild amusement at best. One of the reasons I like airsoft is escapism from politics and stuff that actually matters and I've seen far to much of both on here recently.

    Arrgggh, I would struggle to explain it but I've just rebuilt one of these and it is very fiddly to get right. You're best watching a Youtube vid on it and following step by step.

    Nothing wrong with two tone. In fact that bright green on a Hi Capa style pistol looks very nice.

    Hi and welcome. All I will add is may be better to keep the WA stock for two reasons: 1) They're quite collectable in original condition 2) Plastic slides cycle far better in cooler weather than metal ones.

    @Ujustgotsarged- The only one I've tried is the "DMAG M4/AR15 20/70rds Variable-Cap Magazine" I picked-up from Taiwangun but that's just for chrono and I haven't upgraded my motot etc.

    I often do this, so get it. Especially now we can't play, I enjoy buying a gun and testing it out in the garden to see if it's something I want to add to my collection. If it takes a few weeks or a single skirmish to realise it doesn't, then I will sell it on pretty much "as new" I have a decent job and no kids, so I get to spend my money on things I find fun and/or interesting. Hopefully that clarifies.

    This arrived yesterday, which was a bit surprising because in all honesty I had forgotten I'd even ordered it, it took that long to arrive. Also a bit frustrating when I checked how much it owed me after paying delivery, handling and import duty. Firstly let's address the proverbial elephant in the room, it's not a several hundred £££ TM base build. However it does look pretty damn good for the money if you ask me. Good points *The description states "CNC slide" and it's one of the nicest things about this gun, almost worth the whole price alone....almost. It has good markings and slides very smoothly. * With the frame stippling and flared magwell it feels very nice in the hand. * With ZEV, Glock and Boresight (OK if you want to be pedantic "Quoresight") Solutions, markings it really does look like a high-end piece. If I don't sell it for enough to cover myself, I'm very tempted to make a box frame display case for it. The errrmm not so good * Sometimes the trigger doesn't drop the hammer. Guess anything can be fixed with a bit of work but I have found just re-racking does the trick. *The hop wheel is very loose. An o-ring under it may solve this but I don't have any to hand and can't be arsed to order some. This leads to erratic BB trajectory, so I'd recommend sorting even if you want to use as a plinker. As always with me, stated price includes PayPal fee and trackable courier delivery. Although at this price please don't expect same day dispatch and arrival the next day. Hell I paid like £25 for delivery and it took bloody ages! Don't worry though, I can usually have it with you in circa 3-5 days.
