  1. Really depends on your preferred style but as already mentioned above you can't really go wrong with the CYMA Platinum range and they're within your budget, even including a few mags and batteries.
  2. For me it's the opposite. I nearly quit before lockdown as had a few not-so-great days in a row and was feeling burnt out and guilty about spending more time buying and selling guns, than I did actually using the damn things. Now I'm left sorely missing having a reason to get up and out first thing on a Saturday, then getting that feeling of having earned the right to sit down, maybe have some Doritos and a few beers in the evening. Again I feel guilty if I haven't worked for it.
  3. It's the gun equivalent of when Deadpool had to regrow his legs...
  4. My CYMA Platinum...apart from a wobbly bolt release the receiver and stock is solid enough. The handguard is just held on by two grub screws though, could definitely be a better design. Also on this model the the integrated suppressor is a little skew-whiff. I paid about the same for this and my Specna, I would definitely chose the Specna everytime.
  5. Could be a bit too long for younger players.
  6. *Not a sales post* I've just listed what I paid as part of the "review" Also a bit of a longer read than I had intended, so no offense taken if I don't get any love for it, haha. You'll note I didn't put a question mark in the title, as I'm not a new player or even financially restricted. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to spend whatever I like on this hobby/sport/game/addiction, since I first discovered it five years ago. I've been through countless AEG's, including "high-end" purchases such as about £1600 in to a MARUI Recoil SCAR L, I also owned a TM AA-12, I'm on my fourth Scorpion Evo and I've even ventured in to the world of GBBR's, in the form of a GHK M4 and G5. Not to mentioned the hundreds of GBBP's which have passed through my hands. However I've never felt comfortable having a huge collection of RIF's which never see the field or I don't particularly enjoy using. As such I'm left with just four AEG primaries. Three of which cost me less than £220 delivered and I believe are the most"bang for your buck" I've ever had. So hopefully someone finds this useful, even though it's just my opinion and I've not had a chance to test the longevity of these. I won't go in to depth as there's a separate thread just for these bt to start with the cheapest: Double Eagle M904N - £150 delivered. This really would be my number 1 recommendation for new players or those wanting a back up. This one is almost the same as the even cheaper M904G but comes with a metal handguard which makes the gun feel even better in the hand. Long-story short, it's compact but not too small, lightweight but solid, takes standard M4 mags and isn't fussy about which ones. Has an easily tuneable mosfet with some great features and even has a quick change spring. CYMA Platinum CM.097D - £215 delivered from Poland (pre-BREXIT). This one comes in a variety of models and mine is featured in Negative Airsofts "Amazing Trigger Response" video, so I've obviously put a bit more into. However out of the box it's full-metal, has a basic but reliable mosfet, steel 13:1 gears and a high speed motor giving you 25rps, amongst a whole host of good internals. Plus of course the ever popular quick change spring. Specna Arms SA-E01 Edge 2.0 - £217 delivered from a UK retailer. Again these come in a variety of different styles but I went for the classic M4 as I was getting bored of keymod or M-LOK handguards. There is slight movement in the handguard but nothing that's possibly to be expected from the style. However the rest of the gun is solid and leaves you feeling like a character in a 80's or 90's action movie (I'm loving having a carry handle!). Internally I'm sure the parts are decent but the standouts are the factory flat hop and Gate Aster mosfet, which I've mainly used to fine tune trigger pull but obviously has a whole host of other features. Note: In order to adjust the trigger and more advanced features I purchased the USB link for £25, so I can plug the gun in to my phone or computer. Does anyone else have any suggestions they'd put forward in this let's say under £250 category?
  7. Going off their new value, anywhere between £400 - £500. Maybe less now you've revealed how much you paid.
  8. Obviously the power cord takes away some realism but I can appreciate that this is a tool optimised for CQB use.
  9. Thanks for your help everyone. Solved this by just with a bit of good ol' fashioned elbow grease!
  10. I have a bottle of this but was worried about damaging the paint.
  11. Loving the Specna I picked up recently but decided to remove the sticker and hologram and was a bit surprised at how stubbornly they're on there! Any tips on removing without using heat or any chemicals that may damage the paint?
  12. This advert is COMPLETED!

For those who aren't already familiar with this gun, it is without a doubt the most bang for your buck currently available. The externals are in polymer but we're not talking creaky ABS, this is a sturdy gun which feels great in the hand. It is of course also light and compact, enabling you to put all your energy into enjoying the game. One of the outstanding features of this weapon, is the "Falcon Electronic Control System". Which is a very easy to program mosfet. Using a simple sequence of trigger pulls, you can change full-auto to 2 - 5 round burst, adjust trigger sensitivity or even active binary/bump mode so the gun fires on the pull and release. Only used for half-a-day just prior to lockdown, in a woodland skirmish, where it more than held its own. Selling as I have three of these excellent guns, in addition to five other AEG's I'm never going to get round to putting some proper mileage on. Will come in original packaging, with the unjamming rod and one mag. Stated price includes PayPal fees and tracked courier. Any questions are normally answered quite quickly but please PM as I often miss anything asked on the listing.

  13. @Sitting Duck - You weren't far off. With a fully charged 7.4, I was getting 750rpm. On a 11.1 it's bumped up to 1200. Which is about perfect for me and doesn't seem crazy fast.
  14. Yeah, I mean we're "collectors" after all....right? At the moment, I'm collecting Double Eagle Honey Badgers but they're not overly pretty, so may have to release some back into the wild.
  15. Don't think it matters...but don't sue if it goes wrong 🤐
  16. That's the problem with Asian retailers, you think it's a bargain and then they sting you on the shipping cost at checkout....

      Enter a promo code...

are they taking the fucking piss or something

you would need like a 95% discount code FFS

      $10,410.99 x 0.95 or 5% of original BS price = $520:55

(a bit more reasonable - ish)

Yeah best of luck finding the 95% discount code

Fuck me you could go First Class & collect it in person

& still have change to spend on Wu-Flu hookers

@Sitting Duck 3 weeks in a quarantine hotel currently, now if they allowed the hookers then maybe not so bad 🙂

      @ak2m4 thing I wonder about...

when you get off the plane and have to stay in a hotel to quarantine...

Doesn't the cabin crew also have to quarantine too ???

After all they have been on the same aircraft with a plane full of lepers all breathing the same air & had to stay over in the place you flew back from on a long haul flight ???

Ahhh - but they are vaccinated most likely...

But you can still catch & infect others even after vaccination, hence still wear masks & social distance etc... so are the cabin crew also entering quarantine too ???

Besides, I would be flying First Class with Charlie Sheen & Hunter Biden so us lot up the front are exempt from all those lepers in economy class, plus all the hookers had the vaccine...

(even though it looked they was shooting up heroin & smoking crack)

  17. Sounds strange but brake fluid worked a treat for me and didn't damage the plastic. Obviously remove all the bits first.
  18. Arrghh that's annoying. Similar thing happened to my colleague. They often sell new or nearly new trainers on there and one buyer complained the red was a different shade to how it appeared in the photo. They replied that the photo had been taken in natural light to try and get the most accurate representation etc but the buyer was having none of it, so opened a case. My colleagues girlfriend accidentally clicked something to refund and close the case. The buyer then messaged them laughing that he was going to keep both the money and trainers!
  19. Long-story short. You don't "need" one. They can be handy if you're really close (such as in a building) and getting a "kill" with something that has recoil, is always fun. From a purely practical standpoint, they're not actually worth the extra expensive of buying the thing and then hassle of carrying gas and/or spare mags while it hangs from you in a holster. However most people do have one because "the cool factor"
  20. Gotta love something with OD or Foliage green! I'm confused and disappointed that they don't sell more RIF's in that colour and perhaps the only reason I'd pay all that money for a Krytac.
  21. Have just a few unskirmished guns because they've been acquired during lockdown? 😬 These are the four AEG's I've picked up. I also have five pistols that have yet to see any action 😂
  22. Bought the other-half a new/sealed box iPhone6 back when they were the current model. About four months later she could no-longer make or receive calls on it. Contacted the network and they said it had been identified as one of a stolen batch. Upon checking the sellers feedback, they'd sold about 50 iPhone 6's on there. Fortunately Paypal had just expanded buyers protection from three to six months, so we were able to get a full-refund with minimal hassle.
  23. It's a long-one but Negative Airsoft just posted a video detailing his thoughts on each brand on youtube. Worth a watch from your position.
