  1. Hi there, I would say you don't necessarily have to have it maintained/serviced to sell it as "near perfect" but just check it's cycling as it should and shoots at the sort of power one would expect. Obviously if it doesn't do that, then you can't sell it as a working gun, which would massively affect its value.
  2. Noob question I know but just picked up a Specna Arms SA-E01 Edge 2.0, which comes with a Gate Aster pre-installed. So far I'm pretty impressed and looking forward to skirmishing it. However whilst the trigger response seems fine, full-auto with a 7.4V lipo battery is pretty lacklustre at 11rps. I don't need 30rps or anything like that but would like to get the most out of it. Is 7.4V still recommended or would it be fine with a 11.1V?
  3. So this is where the jokes that were too bad for Christmas crackers end up!
  4. Also depends what you've asked. If it's to DSG your Nuprol Delta, you might be waiting a while....
  5. This is the GBBR version, so yes arguably even less suitable for a beginner but each to their own. Also you can't say for sure that they'd never tried airsoft, bearing in mind these have been discontinued for some time and under 18's can't obtain UKARA, regardless of how long or how many times they've played. Not really for us to say whether that in itself is stupid or not.
  6. This week I picked-up an M904N, which unbeknownst to me is the version with a metal handguard but it also comes with a mid-cap. Anyway, I've found my two are not fussy about mags, were it me I would go for something like this: https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/nuprol-airsoft-n-mag-mid-cap-magazine-30--125-rd-6mm-bbs-polymer-light-weight-21123-p.asp Right or wrong for UK spec, I use these: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/nuprol-11-1v-1100mah-lipo-stick-battery
  7. Surely long-story short, any aftermarket painting should be categorically stated?
  8. Just worries me that someone has possibly gone in to JBBG and parted with like £350 to get that lot.
  9. Dammnit! Forgot to factor in joule limitation. Now I see why I was bumped down to remedial maths at school 😔
  10. Hold on, I have my airsoft to real metres calculator here somewhere.......The conversion rate is currently around the 1.439 mark but in this case we need to factor in a far larger margin of error based on the justbbguns watermark. So reduce that figure by at least 30%. That gives you 49 metres on the rifles and 24 on the pistol. Hope that helps 👍

@Sitting Duck - Maaaatee...you're not going to get me down - this one has a metal handguard! I didn't even realise, thought it was just UK mark-up bringing the price to £150 but nahhhh...you get cold hard steel (Chinesium) for the extra £35 too!

Blimey grab a few more then...

      just kidding btw...

they have another strain of COVID...

& is followed by Brenda clip

I just thought of you & your affection to DE HB's - she might react in a similar way

that aside - completely understand buying something you really like more than once (or twice etc...)

But people like Brenda might be a little taken back to find you bought ANOTHER ONE...

@Sitting Duck - Haha, yeah all good fun. I have high-end guns in my collection but these are compact, have great features and are cheap. Perfect for my little cousin-in-law who always seems to cake my RIF's in mud!

  12. You have a pistol, general use rifle and a sniper. Whether they match your requirements is specific to you but at least you have a variety 👍
  13. Just bought my third Double Eagle Honey Badger 😎

I'm not going list my obsessive list of dupes...

but I see nothing wrong with a backup of same gun you like

(or two, or *insert insane figure*)

if you killed the mosfet then go Perun v2 optical

      from Airsoft World...

      https://www.airsoftworld.net/perun-v2-optical-drop-in-programmable-mosfet-rear-wired.html

      use code: AWFF1102312012 to get 5% or £3 off = £57

NB: you will need to install a safety arm

as the DE doesn't have one on safe mode

bit of agro - but more features & stuff

or just keep as spare I guess

Luke at NA was testing out a prototype Perun optical trigger unit

kinda an optical G&G ETU switch unit replacement

as an option when the G&G shits the bed or other guns even

Perun are upping their game with work in progress

plus good stuff already on offer = cost effective GATE alternatives

@ak2m4 - Yeah, also 6 orders from you for ZCI bits haha. Annoyingly I seem to have lost the plastic chamber and only ordered spare parts for it from you. Although the stock ones on these are rotary anyway.

  14. Also, shows airsofters are lazy Mofo's......rather than worrying so much about getting your gun shooting 100M, work on how to get yourself forward the extra 40.
  15. Sorry but it's all "bro science" to me. My friend said he had this gun that did that because of that, etc. With so many variables, it's near impossible to establish the exact reason gun A has better range or accuracy than gun B.
  16. Ares. This model: https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/ares-amoeba-tactical-m4-aeg-with-silencer-ares-am-006-bk-black/
  17. Yikes, they're £100 more than comparative Evolution models.
  18. Which gas are you using? Is the gun well cleaned and lubed? What temperature are you using it at? Does it happen if you fully gas the mag and only fill with a few BB's?
  19. Some of these seem to have recently entered the country but I can't find a single review in English on YouTube. Does anyone have first hand experience with them? https://www.bespokeairsoft.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=Bushido
  20. "Patiently" waiting for the CYMA Platinum from the latest Negative Airsoft video to come back to me. With upgrades I'm in it for less than a stock Scorpion Evo and Luke assures me this is vastly superior!

      Monkman

Shame his video on my BOLT & ICS got corrupted as he said the ICS was a total bitch to work on and would've been a good vid...  You don't see many ICS guns on his channel.  Your CYMA does look the nuts mate.. :)   Will be sending him my Mk46 A&K at some point.

@Monkman - That's true actually and I am curious about the split gearboxes. Nearly picked up one of their latest MP5's recently.

  21. Hey there, sounds like you're off a strong start! Welcome to the money pit!
  22. Sorry for hijacking the thread but can anyone help me identify this one?
  23. Which batteries are you trying? AFAIK most modern G&G AEG's are designed to be used with 11.1V lipos.
  24. You want KM to be banned from all airsoft sites, yet list the the two things he strongly advocates (and the most contentious points) as something you're also for? I would like to see more staff at airsoft sites, akin to linesman at a football match. Walking around checking on both sides of a firefight, in an attempt to put an end to squabbling.
  25. This is where packages/bundles don't work unless you're throwing the extras in dirt cheap. Who wants or needs 8 x 500 round magazines!? So it's laughable to say these cost me £120, give me a bit less than that and they're yours!
