Working on my MK23 project, I got it second hand and both mags are leaking. Should I leave bad feedback?
Also does anyone know what are some good upgrades to add to the MK23? I want a longer barrel as a minimum to fit in the suppressor. -
What's the go-to newbie best-value AEG recommendation these days? Mate of mine is out of the service soon and might want his own RIF for a bit of running about on Sundays.

If someone was going to hpa a pistol what would the best pistol to do it to be? Asking for a friend..... 🤥

Getting my loadout ready for a game the weekend after next. This post apocalypse look is seriously harder than it looks. Reckon my 1970s Warsaw Pact kit will be a good base.
Gas mask is de-filtered and ready.
Snow Wolf K98 is shooting uncannily well as usual.
TM 1911 is fine for a magazine a fill. If it's cold I'll use red gas. Since we're limited to 17 BBs it will be fine capacity wise.
Nice to have a game less than an hour away (ish).
Camping in October is fine if you have the kit. A touch of medicinal scotch will work wonders too no doubt.

Does anyone know anyone who could do custom sorbo pads? v7 gearbox sorbo pads just don't seem to exist in Europe
-
Honestly, part of the reason for the consideration is because my HPA m14 has been a disappointment. It likes to jam itself open when I take the mag out and fire it to clear it which is a pain in the arse. I have a 2nd m14 and already had most of what I needed for a good build with it, so figured I may as well.

@Adolf Hamsterit's more for the noise reduction and less for aoe (though that is part of it), and I'd rather not be covering the vents on my piston head if possible.

So zero one have the A&K pkm in stock........ for nearly £700 😪

Anyone who enjoys sniping, might I recommend a gym membership? I just played my first game since starting in the gym about a month ago, and all the slow, deliberate movements, keeping my aim steady, low crawling etc are all waaaay easier now that I'm packing on a bit more muscle. Makes the game so much more enjoyable!

I know what you like @Rogerborg 😚

If you've worked out in the past and work hard, yes. At least for me, the weights I'm lifting have gone up fairly rapidly so far (though I know it'll start plateauing, it's inevitable) and the difference this skirmish day was noticeable. Started MMA and BJJ as well as the gym about a month ago, so I'm feeling a lot better.

Percentage of airsofters who bring/buy pyro - 90%
Percentage of airsoft who can effectively throw pyro - 10%
-
You're not wrong there. The number of times I see pyro "fails" where they throw it into a tree, or try to post it into a 1st floor window only to miss and have it bounce back, killing them all... Priceless
I can count the amount of pyro I've thrown in this game on one hand, and I've been playing for almost 17 years now. I just don't like it, though if I was going to a more serious event I'd probably just pack lots of smokes. Smokes can be really, really helpful as a sniper for disengaging.

are TM mws guns going out of style? seen a fair few up for sale recently
-
Personally, I love my GBBRs, but the way I play I don't shoot that much (coming from that sniper role I'm used to not shooting much). I've converted one of my friends to GBBRs, but he's like me and doesn't run into ammo problems. It's very dependent on what you want to get out of the game. Mid-fight reloads, pistol transitions and ammo tracking are something I enjoy and I'll often be switching between my mags to make sure the freshest is available at all times, adding a fun element to the game for me, but it's very much not for everyone. Also, I love how it feels to shoot, as you get more of a kick than with a NGRS, and knew that I was going to convert to GBBRs as soon as I fired off my first mag from my AKM on the range.
However, if you want to play airsoft with the focus on shooting at other players and getting kills and doing objectives and winning games, GBBRs are not the way to go. For the price of a MWS plus mags, you could get a pretty nice NGRS build with all the bells and whistles and a rig full of EPM mid caps and probably still have change left over.

It's probably one of those things where everyone gets one because they're cool and in vogue, then people realise that 35rd magazines that weigh a lot aren't very practical when they get outgunned by a trigger-happy rental.

Great. Now I have to add a gun to the "I want one" list. At least the "I want one maybe" list. I think a WE m14 might be a bit of fun, but I also have an aversion to anything WE...

Yeahhhhh, they look like so much fun and I'd totally tweak mine if I did get one (as I do with all my guns). DO I think it'll shoot as well as my HPA m21? No. Not in the slightest. It'll be loud, inconsistent and temperature dependent, but maaaaaaaaan would it be a fun gun to use.
But yeah, it's also a WE... I've seen a lot more WEs fail spectacularly than work spectacularly. 🤔

Installed the new internal parts for the MWS so all that remains are the externals, but that can come later.
it's so much harder to get to the barrel and hop unit in the MWS than the TM GBBR AKM

Welcome to my world of guns. I think I only have a single gun that is stock and it's an AEP. Blame it on me doing sniping for 16 years where the mentality is "change all the things!"
Though considering I do want to build 3 more upper receivers for it (CQBR, M16A4 and XM177), this is only the beginning!

You know, I realised why I prefer my m700 over my VSR, even though it won't ever shoot as well. VSR feels like a toy, m700 feels like an actual rifle.

I might have just made a big purchase as I might have received an "in stock" notification for something in this time where things being in stock is rare...
Should be delivered tomorrow too

Off to my first Namsoft game this weekend. Time to hunt some GIs

@Rogerborgwell, they let me in so I'd say rice-hats filmsim
@Asomodai It was at Gunman Eversley Alpha. There's another one June 11th - 12th which is only £55 for the whole weekend if you come along as VC/PAVN. While I could only do Saturday of this one (Worthing game day on Sunday and one of the guys in our group is staff at Worthing), I'll be doing the whole weekend for the one in June! https://filmsim.co.uk/event/vietnam-june22/

Remember folks, it's the HALF TERM ALERT. I expect an influx of "Under 18" and "Why two tone?" threads any day now.

@Cr0-Magnon I'm pretty sure I could buy a Hi-Point YEET Cannon for less than a TM pistol😆

Anyone had success ordering from SixMM? The reviews have me worried for my order 🤣 Apparently they're AsiaAirsoft rebranded.

Spicy take time. Plate carriers look stupid on larger individuals. I'm not just talking about carrying a bunch of extra pounds, I mean for big and tall people. I've got a carrier that I want to use with my normal rifles when I'm not sniping, but every time I put it on I think it looks comically small on my 6'5, heavy-set frame.
This year I'm going to put together a CQB / speedy-aggressive / breacher loadout to go with a future MWS purchase (and also to use with my AK, but mags are nowhere to be found
). A bit of a change of pace from being a bush monster, but I want to diversify my loadout choices!
-
@strykerlesYeah, I'm typically a belt kit user as a sniper, but for my CQB loadout I'm going plate carrier, helmet, lower face, everything! Partially so when I inevitably get lit up nice and close, it'll only hurt in certain areas (I can deal with arm and leg pain
)
Partially because I like playing dress up and want to try something different.
