  1. 4. Depends on what you call south... There are a ton of places to go, but does very much depend on your willingness to trek. For example near Portsmouth there is the ucap bunker & green ops, ambush (botley) south coast cqb, and battle zone. Where as Kent, and close, has imperium, ace combat, ambush (a different one) camo raids cqb, driver wood. These are just a taste as thankfully we have a few great options down here. Personally I play at Mayhem (Essex/ Thadon Bois), red1 Chislehurst more often than not. But then I am public transport bound.... Also, welcome
  2. Map of thunder Park The execution of an eco terrorist by Team Sovereign OIC And team Sovereign at endex on Sunday
  3. Location location location. Name Thunder Park -TPA to locals Postcode: I have a map somewhere.... Yes it is far from my normal grounds, however well worth it for the 60 odd hours I was on site for. This is predominantly a site review and the game details will go in to the A.R.A.B.S. event page I made. The Basics: Amazing! Narrow, yet parts left unexplored. Solid game structures, both the village and Sword Base were a pleasure to fight through, well ... It is Cornwall, so not flat. That being said even the hills had plenty of cover, be that ferns or sparse woodlands. This lead to some really interesting firefights as I have not had to deal with that for a while. I can see why it is so popular for skirmish days. Plumbed toilets and a flat top cooker if you want food, £3.5 for what I saw was a decent sized burger. The safe zone itself, well, that is a work in progress as they have a small covered area - I get the feeling using the car park and operating from the car is a normal thing. Owner/marshals were amazing. Barbra (owner) cooks lunch for you, the marshals know there stuff. Sit down for the next bit.... Crono opened on time, was operated by two marshals - measuring in Jules - with BB weight and recorded against player band number.... Safety brief used actual marshals to show distance or that marshal is 30m that marshal is 20m this is what 10m looks like, *this* is what we mean by blind firing.... I think this site is very much a growing gem, sword base is new and they have plans to revamp the site over the winter months clearing a couple of spots and making more areas of play. All that being said I still didn't get to some of the site as it was held strongly against us. If given the excuse to be down that way again, I would definitely play there again.
  4. Full review incoming, but for now.... Wow, what an amazing two days of larpsoft!
  5. Strange, the two people shouting the praises haven't been back on this thread to tell us how wrong we were..... Also as a point of order, if your head marshal "takes a tumble" that needs hospital....what kinda site are you using?!
  6. I hear the AA is also a clone of the TM, so you have access to the R32 extended mag (£20 instead of £34)
  7. Red1 Chislehurst is a great site. Easy enough to slip into a fire team each game if you are going solo. I just rock a 35lt back pack and a gun bag. Am not waving the toys around. Be sensible and you'll be fine. The buses that time of day you'll be ok sat down so it's only on your back for a short time. Be aware that there is no drinking water on site, so you will need to factor that in to your packing. Especially on hot days. There is a hot water urn with tea and terrible coffee (I take my own coffee bags....) Good marshals where they are still trying to grow the game range and try new things, which I like. The villages are nice and tight spaces with too many corners. Yeah, I don't get there enough.
  8. At this point it also needs a bed, running water and something to cook on and it is several problems solved at once
  9. This is what the ideal storage looks like. It's not for everyone but here it is. This is peak storage
  10. It's 1st September and so buyers regret is in full flow.
  11. Exactly. There have been a spate of scammers active on face ache recently and in each case it is bank transfer or f&f options for posted goods. Being the realists I am I said something like 'who the fuck still does bank transfer' 'oh the seller doesn't have PayPal' Well wait the 30 seconds it take to set the account up then!
  12. Not on the weekends you mention but the Territory game is 1/2 october
  13. The defence though doesn't translate we easily for ukara. I for example have been to 5 sites in the last year and have a couple of games booked in in the next few months. But i am not eligible for ukara. Do I give my non existent ukara number to a Seller to "check I'm an airsofter" or do I just talk to the seller and say I don't go to the same site often enough to qualify..... There are a couple of pistols I have missed out on due to MUST HAVE UKARA noted in ads, and yes I did contact seller.... Meh. Is ukara a walking, talking mess? Yes and many here could go into more detail as to why but, it is at least alive and does hinder (slightly) tools getting Airsoft guns....
  14. If you are more SE London then red 1 Chislehurst offers some close engagements. Not a dedicated cqb site but is does have up close and personal zones
  15. Oh crap, that whole wall of text and I didn't put in the date.... It's 1st-2nd October. camping is included in price Two days of Airsoft and two nights of camping for £60 plus fees
  16. 1st off, I have the dyes.... 2nd I found an eBay DPM "grab bag" looks smaller than the mtp issue. It's only 15lt but has multi pockets...
  17. Asg CAA m4 for a bargain from only Airsoft. Still in use. Should really give it a service....
  18. When you have a type....
  19. You would think so wouldn't you? I cannot find a dpm grab bag. I have mtp kit that I have written of so am up for trying crazy stuff that might make a mess of it, oh well, it's only mtp
  20. Thank you comrade, I have now saved this link for redistribution
  21. So what I'm getting is be wary of which green I choose....
  22. Pew Pew Pew Pew pew pew pew pew pew pew But never Pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew pew
  23. As always it is the people that make these events what they are, if you are up for it I would be willing to be the 'person you know' to get a ticket. If you joined the sovereign team that is....?
  24. Might be a post/engagement minimum to use classifieds to fullest. Welcome.
  25. Yes, it is called DPM...or whatever but this thread is going to be renamed soon enough as "crazy s#it I have done with kit because I'm cheap/inventive.... I have signed on for a battlesim/milsim/larp event. Like many of these events it has a kit list..the team I have singed on for is DPM/m81/penicot, you know the green ones My current "go-to" gear (and havent skirmished with out since getting it is an MTP 'grab bag'. As some know, this kinda event often has loose kit guides rather than stitch counting however, another of the teams kit is very much mtp and the brown/khaki uniform. All of that has lead me here, with my basket loaded with many green hand dyes....and possible regrets. I will of course update Also - what have you folk botched/Gerry rigged/ found creative solutions for?
