What Have You Learned About Airsoft Recently?
Jaylordofwaargh replied to Cr0-Magnon's topic in General Discussion
@Cr0-Magnon mine are very similar to yours, well the first two 1) mid-caps are the way forward 2) comfort over (uni)form There was a three when i started but after a long arse day its gone -
Crono: i am suspisious of any site that doesn't have manditory crono. Mayhem (essex) in my estimation went from "wow this is a great site" to "hold on, lead marshal said/did what!" As to tagging, a second on the mini zip ties (rotate weekly/daily) or e cheeky bit of tape round the stock or grip make it really easy to see what has been crono'd.

@MiK i'll be near Binley /se cov visiting family. I had planned on going solo to Warzone on the Sunday as a consolation prize for missing out on the z-mart fun
-
So here is an odd one, anyone traveling down from Coventry/birmingham that wants to share fuel costs? I would be able to bail on family commitments but the train prices are a tough justification.
-
Does badlands still ask for bio ammo to be used? The can of fizz is a nice touch. If you are in that area give Ambush (botley) a go. Badlands is on my (when i visit family) list

This site sounds amazing. These sites are very much a play as often as possible while you can. It is the woe of urban cqb sites that the landlord will often use us (or rather game organisers/companies) as a stop gap whilst the sale/ planning goes though. I mean unless it is owned land (like i believe Mayhem, Essex is) then almost all sites are under near threat of 'we sold the land/planning came through'.

First of, thank you for your dedication to the chaos of 'am i going to enjoy this'. There were fits and spurts where i would read everything looking for a 'public transport' site find one, only to have the game date be unfeasible. Part of the reason i stopped checking out the reviews is the frustration of not being able to play as often as i would like to, or even having to cancel plans for various reasons. You should absolutely be taking backhander/free game days if they are on offer. I will have another look and see what has been added resently.

Welcome back. So given some of the sites i have been recommended i will declare myself Cheltenham adjacent (i'm in london....). Yeah getting to most sites is not easy ( i have it a touch better) or fun. Best if luck. There are on here that maybe more useful as they are close(er) to you

I mean you and @Asomodai have done a lot of leg work for us in the s.e. for site awareness. It is right that you start to look back at favorites to return to.

Damn, well 31st and i am out. Will have to be around town or when i i visit other parts if the country.

https://filmsim.co.uk/event/territory-pt4/ This will be my first weekender! I am not gonna lie, quite excited. Anyone else going to this or am i the only one repping afuk? So with 18 or so days to go i have only a few bits to buy (for medic rules). Now it is a case of finding an hour or so to do a 'gather' of kit and lay it all out to see if i need to trim. Then there is the check and pack with possibly a re-pack depending on how the weight is on the packs. I am likely to use this thread as a diary on the lead up and review once i am done. Do have a read of the story and rules as it will be great context. I am in the civilian militia!

Love the idea, a street (store fronts and rear entrances/storage?) Sounds really cool a touch out side of my travel but it will be in loads of airsofters range. Best if luck.

Another Idiot Bringing the Game in to Disrepute.
Jaylordofwaargh replied to John_W's topic in Latest News
Thing is though, the daily mail hasnt (that I have seen, but then I dont look to the daily mail for news) reported the pistol in the takeaway shop (no link posted as its the scum). The daily mail has done the classic (from the comments here) "journalism" just repeating the excuses of the accused. However it is clearly written for those of us that dont play toy soldiers. Airsoft, drugs and the influence of a young woman are published as the "reason" and that will be the readers takeaway. As to the historic loadouts, yeah, the wehrmacht look is amazing when pulled of. The ss loadout is an awful less cool... @Shamal codeine is an opioid, a mild one sure, but still dangerous -
Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Jaylordofwaargh replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
Here is the original As @hoggym4 mentions there is no mention of boneyard status. It looks as if working proof was not asked for or provided, which is a shame. @Neil Carter however should be given the chance to respond but hey its Mack's so who knows. I am with @strykerles in that it does look like a tasty bit of kit. -
And due to me being late to party I have an on thread post.... https://extremeairsoft.co.uk/shop/pistols/gas-pistols/army-darkstorm-1911-meu-r32-1/ There is to consider, its metal (no idea of quality though) a tm clone, extended mag for both gas and bbs, full tactical options for tourch/tracer. There is even a utube review

Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic
Jaylordofwaargh replied to Nutster's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
This load out has (the self designated) title 'raider' Kept it simple and cheap(ish) this is for a weekender where 'civvy' is an option, the bag is mostly for food, cook kit and hydration as we are kinda ammo limited. The grab bag is an absolute divine piece of gear, love the capacity and load bearing and as it sits beneath the rest it is pretty stable as well. -
So Does This Look Ok or Does it Just Look Weird?
Jaylordofwaargh replied to LzChase's topic in General Discussion
No! Dont encourage them to multiply! Theres are enough thread counters/fun police in some of the fb pages I'm in.... -
Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Jaylordofwaargh replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
Exactly this, with post and during lock down purchases, was thinking there would be a bargain or two but everyone is just 'no, its "new" there is no movement on price' Good luck with that -
Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Jaylordofwaargh replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
If you could be bothered to put the energy in, leave it that long and the say 'maybe...' There could be one smile in the response from that -
Is this the G33 (gsg Ares g33)? Thing is though, I quite like the look of thing, but as there is no local stock, not held the it yet. It is currently on the 'must hold before adding to the 'want list'' list. As to sci-fi weapons we have the CSI STAR XR5 https://extremeairsoft.co.uk/shop/assault-rifles/electric-aeg-rifles/misc/csi-s-t-a-r-star-xr-5-fg-1502-advanced-airsoft-battle-rifle-7/ Sure it has its issues but I think this was a tester (at least being watched by others) as to the markets demand for non ak/ar15/36 platforms. Thing is though, a significant portion of sci-fi weapons are energy weapons, where do you put the mags? Go down the mp7 (and others) route of mag in the trigger handle or bullpup it (and loose some of an already small market)? As to gaps, well I already have a significant 'i want one of those' lists of airsoft guns that are already available so I haven't looked into real guns that I want an airsoft version of!

Its the same for the rc car with gun argument, if there are game rules built around its use then cool, but, expect salty players to either shoot it or tip it.
