  1. Sorry to hear you've been caught out, best advice would be seek legal advice, but with people that have the relevant knowledge. There are a few legal minds here that may be able to guide. Ukara is only a defence, not an exception
  2. That's the website I couldn't remember, thank you. Not lying about Ben and his love of the SLR though am I? Even if his did shit its pants when he wanted to come play.... Shame you missed this one, it was fantastic
  3. They have loads of (free) rental kit! DDR were around 12-15 players similar to the USSR. Ben and Callum (and Josh) are passionate about the theme, as such do ask for particular kit, camp and clothes they are a little more understanding about. So for Nato it's pattern 58 and no rails with actual barrel length (they would of course love us all to have SLRs) but along as it passes the 10m rule, so scrimmed rails...period sights rather than red dots and TACTICAL everything. There are a few guides on Facebook (not the website frustratingly), The organisers were amazed at numbers with both familiar and new faces. We found WARPAC seemed to be operating in larger sections, so if they found a nato patrol warpac would be through them but if we were able to dig in and communicate another section would be in support soon enough to win the fire fight. On the Sunday, they operated differently and seemed to have the whole team on tasks...which was....interesting
  4. I must figure out how to get to Splatoon, looks like a decent days shooting. Red Mist 6: Operation Foxcub (Gunman Eversly, camp alpha) weekend filmsim, coldwar gets hot An amazing turnout for the Saturday, around 60 split over Warpac (DDR Section + USSR section and Nato forces (Rifles had a whole 3 sections plus us 'paras' with a couple of tag alongs from the 55th. A great day's shooting and story followed by a decent night drinking and social. For the Sunday numbers for both sides dropped but not crazy, the paras used: a G3 (ICS, metal, heavy) and pleasure to shoot a Fal which again super smooth and well hopped and I was using my (toy weight) mc51 which I really need to replace some parts on, maybe look at hop options, likely try and improve air seal.
  5. Decent kit, black and green is a mood. As a larper, how many of those pockets/pouches are for show and how many contain actual kit?
  6. When I've needed a WOW react as I can't give a 'careful now' and laugh.... That sounds intense, but hey, if it helps defend the chooks
  7. Yeah, should've included a reference I guess 😅 @Tackle @Galvatron thanks lads, now a sample of 4!
  8. However there is a second part of the proposition H8ers, fun for a while but not worth the resale value.... Now for context I know 2 people with one of these, and they love it, hand make holsters for them, "pouches" for the ammo rings. However, this is a very small sample size. And so.... Who has/had one? Why did you keep/ditch?
  9. Hey, which model is this? Aa do a number of 1911 shaped items..... Kinda interested depending on which one it is
  10. Man, if I had read this thread/comment I could have had the bleach ready. It's too late now.
  11. Well that is a very legal sounding welcome.... If ever I have a spare Sunday in that part of the world I'll stop by
  12. Given how often some of the groups have to pin posts or repeat answers to repetitive questions, yeah, they won't take too kindly to this format. What the social media platforms do provide is an excellent source of memes and gifs. There are occasions where someone will spark the interest and wake the slobbering beast that is the FB social community. The most recent one was a Karen discovering the fafo, I won't go over it, it's Bryn done
  13. Whatcha chatting bout? Custom midnight black paint on that stock.....
  14. Used some archived threads recently to help me out with my mc51 but when I joined here I did have a look at arnies and it didn't seem very active then so....it us and which ever Macks worthy market place will add chat function
  15. Realistically mine is Red Alert 6 at Eversly as part of a film sim weekend. I wish I could commit to more but... you know, life My load out will be Para/Pathfinder 85 so I get away with a Sig226 as sidearm, use tm mc51 as main (I know not an "issued" toy but it did do some field tests) and I get to do all of that in the most excellent heavy canvas known to man 'Pattern 58' in a 68 smock.
  16. We have a bone yard section for broken guns...
  17. https://poolssurplus.co.uk/products/irvin-gq-mk-3-poncho-2006-parachute-survival-58-pattern-waterproof-rain-cape?utm_content=Facebook_UA&utm_source=facebook&variant=54887766458746&fbclid=IwY2xjawIXee5leHRuA2FlbQEwAGFkaWQBqxiohP7nRQEdvupSGhgovXpldZ8w8wVtEMeiX9vLfi50xpc-FyMMoyieHNxPCoTh2oKZ_aem_U_XBRNBSpWrxfkmfRZ4HZg&utm_medium=paid&campaign_id=120216926765990325&ad_id=120216926765970325&utm_id=120216926765990325&utm_term=120216926765980325&utm_campaign=120216926765990325 I know this is normally a private dreamers thread but I think this chap needs a special mention
  18. Took me a second to connect this to dca, rather than Dave who robbed it from a site/store/car
  19. Found myself in a similar position, but from the perspective of an airsoftera already. There are a number of sites (London ish) that will allow a kid of 10 to play Driver wood Crawley is one and Mayhem is another. Both of these sites have decent hire guns. A couple of other sites were "as long as they take their hits" - this gets a special mention as they have a solid crono process. it is a calculated risk - you cant control the other players but going to a decent site with a great rep is what matters here. Full face - I used this https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/empire-vforce-armor-mask-gen-3 to cover his face And I picked him up a Firehawk (short barreled m4 style) 2nd hand from this forum - mp5's can have a fiddly battery storage. Oh and decent shoes! The first couple of games I did stick with him (at driverwood) but then he was off! There are calculated risks, and as many have said above, they are manageable. At home everything is kept separate and the first rules are enforced (only under supervision and eye pro always). Have fun and dive in!
