Haven't posted here in a long time, I'll restart with this
 
Scored a steel version Bear Paw SVU GBB a while ago and wanted something special in regards of optics for it.
Looked around a bit and finally got my hands on a rare 1P21 scope - very large russian scope that has been used on the SVD.
 
I'm not sure if any of these have ever been used on the real SVU, standard for this was the PSO-1 scope. It's also not possible to mount large scope mounts like the one of the 1P21 on an SVU without disassembling it, as these are pushed onto the side rail from the rear, which can't be done on the SVU.
 
I usually try to go more or less authentic, but here I didn't care - it just looks so nicely badass 😋

Got a few parts for my A3 this week, here's Betty relaxing in the garden (excuse the plastic tub) & at home with the rest of the family (A2 is a bit poorly but visiting the doctor in a couple of weeks).
 
She's 6.4kg so not planning on using her in anger.

Just about to book onto my first Stirling milsim since 2021.. buzzing  

Seems like a whole bunch of negativity recently (and I'm struggling to find events of interest).....so.......
 
What event, Weekender, thing, product, game style etc is coming up that you're excited about?

I'm pretty excited for the milsim esque night games at gunman tuddenham to coming back. I've got the excitement bug back for a classic skirmish day and gear wise I'm stripping bs stuff but realistic kit (eg, losing the pistol, spare pistol mags etc on a rural kit). 

Got an Angry Gun L119 handguard to have a longer option, couple of A1A extended MWS Pmags with Magpul Mag-Link couplers, some Guns Modify MWS Pmags, Strike Industries overmolded pistol grip & a few other bits. Need a longer barrel now 🤦‍♂️ 
 
Oh also got a GHK G17 steel premium model with a TLR-1s

You’re right they do, last one I went too was a while back and it was a themed night, totally forgot about it being an option.
 
They are deffo on the cards, that’s for sure.

Nice! I had a fondle of some DTNVS and photonis white phos tubes a week or so ago, ive been looking into NODs more and more but there’s not many night games within reasonable distance to me 😖

bit of a blast from the past. a Prime LR300 kit. It's had a bit of tinkering with a Gate Aster and some Maple leaf to bring it up to date inside.

Quick delivery from just outside HK, took only 8 days, way faster than their estimated delivery date.
Seems solid enough, holds my secondary and a mag & dump pouch quite solidly
Nice feeling to be able to order a Medium for the first time in about 8 yrs!!
Tired of being a porker, lost 3” off my waist so far this year, and I’m motivated to get back to a 32 ish waist 🤞

It’ll get tried out next weekend, can’t wait!

I was at Gunman Tuddenham on Sat for the night game.  All in all, a good evening.  Start time keeps on slipping later and later from the aimed 7pm which is bit annoying but hey.
 
Lots of friendly fire but typical of a night game.  I just wish people would use the call and response properly.  Yes, if you don't reply, I will assume you are NATO scum and shoot you.
 
Sneaking through the village and trenches is a hell of a lot of fun.

Did another game at gunman tuddenham and it seems I'm about to be a cheerleader for them again. 
 
Thoroughly impressed with the management team, ran a relatively complex game with a more advanced rule set, objective style etc and frankly they smashed it out of the park. 
 
The site has clearly invested in their terrain and made good use of the features already there. The variation of experience available has improved and consistent with what they're advertising. 
 
The game play was good, objectives well thought out and hit taking/sportsmanship very high as well. 
 
Add onto that, my little group played effectively as a team and it was about perfect. 

Ah, you must be the big brains around here. Didn't want to make an advert implying I do want to make a swap for definite. I did say potentially. Thank you for the information though much appreciated.

So Camelot was certainly ‘a thing’. The first hour or so of Saturday was great, the rest of the day was… pretty shite. The age old story of too many players and a grinding stalemate that resulted in nothing much happening… for a further 2 hours.
 
And the reward for that in the afternoon? A reverse of the same game. Woo.
 
Sunday (today) saw many players leaving due the general not so great experience from the day prior which led to far better flow. The games being a defenders hold and fall back versus attackers. Again, the afternoon saw this reversed which given how enjoyable the morning was I was happy to see. I’d defended in the morning, I generally prefer attacking.
 
My newly jazzed up MCX was a monster all weekend, so thanks very much Dave if you happen to read this. With how well that was performing the weekend could have been a total wash and I’d likely still come away with a smile on my face. As ever, the folks I played had a huge amount to do with everything good that came from the weekend.
 

 
 
For those that care, I’m third in from the left. Playing surrounded by giants, I’m bang on 6’ for reference.

Seemingly old habits die hard, and as much as I liked the look of the N4 MWS build it was; A) Shorter handguard than I like. B) A lot more cash tied up in what’s meant to be a ‘back up’ of sorts. So I’ve reverted back to the 11.5” URGI, but did pick up a new stock, stock riser and red dot. The Holosun 403R now sits on my Unity riser with a QD to easily swap it around on the replicas I use that on (3 of the 4 I own) and replaces an old faithful Vortex Crossfire which is back on a standard lower 1/3rd sitting on the AK.
 
It’ll not doubt get painted once the weather outside is a bit nicer... or wind up selling it all because it'll rarely get used over the electric options I have available to me. Self awareness is important and all that... 😒.
 

I’ve just come across your post and agree entirely.  It did feel like a ‘mini milsim’ and the standard of player effort was very good. 
 
Are you going to the one this weekend at Tuddenham?  I was the player that travelled from Derby, and all being well will do the four hour round trip again this weekend, it was that good last time.

yes very impressed with gunman tuddenham it has now become my "local" - they basically seem to do everything right which is very refreshing. the saturday night game was very good fun though (and feedback was provided so this isn't a totally unproductive moan) i thought our little squad of "the leftovers" was somewhat penalised for playing the objective as we didn't get any contact for 1.5hrs. fine for a 24h "milsim", less so for a 3hr "mini-sim". I wasn't sure if that was because the enemy team had no reason to intersect our path or whether they were just unable to. On the otherhand, its a testament to how fun nodding about at night is as that 1.5hrs went very quickly and felt more like 30 mins, if that.

I haven't seen much of interest yet but a Stechkin APS with stock from VFC.  GBB assumed.
 
 

The last piece of the puzzle now arrived. 
A custom made full steel accurate L7A2 barrel to finish off my steel L7A2 gpmg. 
 
Just need to get it engraved with the original Enfield markings, and to get it altered to take the original inokatsu hop unit. 
 
Now going to convert my old barrel into the newer type HK L7 barrel, and to use to replicate blank use too. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

My little creation. Since I couldn't find the metal G&P rail kit I improvised to make M11a1 as useful as possible still maintaining slim shape (that is why there are no side rails).
 
Used it last weekend and it was cracking fun. 
 
It is bit of a ugly duckling and won't be everyone's taste but it works perfectly for me and it is Daddy's Lil Monster
