What was the issue and how did you fix it? Always best to leave the question and answer in case it helps someone else. I have a UV-5R and I know how simply complicated they can be 👍

From my experience very few (especially home) 3d printers will give an acceptable print right out of the box, it takes time to learn and tune your machine.
 
I don’t want to take anything away from an artist, but 3d printing is a lot like driving a car, it’s a steep learning curve, and it can all still go wrong for any number of reasons

Although you are entitled to your own opinion and I to have been guilty of being focussed on a certain product that I wanted and screw everyone else only to realise that everyone on here that said don’t’ was right. The thing to remember is that the guys on here know their stuff and have no reason to say something is crap when it is not. Chances are if they say it is crap then it will be.

It was the first pistol I bought, has run on CO2 all its life (3 years) and is still going strong still. All metal, solid, it has been dropped more times than I care to admit and all I have ever done to it was clean it.

No idea. Ive been working on a few different EPM-1S shells as well, including these metal 20-rounder style shells
 

Of course they would, but then they could always wear insignia/berets from another nation, something not so close to home that isn't immediately recognised, 99% certain the problem solved. 
Today's a good example, I'm emotional as fuck, it's either :
A. I'm thinking about good friends passed, as well as everyone one else who stepped forward when others were backing away. 
Or
B. I'm on the blob🤣
 
End of the day, if someone is determined to emulate specific genuine units, they should be prepared for potential criticism, or worse case, someone taking severe umbrage for the reasons I mentioned earlier, all for a bit of kit that will make absolutely no difference in your playing ability. 
Similar but hopefully less emotive scenario, my missus is a mad footy fan, completely obsessed with her team since her dad took her to her first game at 3 years old (she then went on to teach footy at secondary school level), I casually support her teams mortal enemies (we're both from North London, work it out😏), but every time she's wanted to put a sticker or other footy paraphernalia in our vehicles, I've said no way, all it takes is some pleb to take offence & scratch the motor or put a window in, its just not worth the aggro is it. 
 

It's not the equipment thats the issue, but cap badges & berets have to be "earned", & some are considerably harder to earn than others. 
Plus for many of those who have served there is usually an associated pride in your mother regiment, in its history & achievements, as well as the fact that comrades you have served with may have passed, either in the service of their country, or as we're becoming more aware of nowadays, succumbing to their demons due to the things they have witnessed or done in the name of service☹️. 
While I can't lay claim to heroic actions whilst serving, but many of my comrades did. 
& then years later, not long after I started airsofting, I witnessed an absolute shitshow of a team, nothing I could say positively about their on site behaviour. Nothing new there you might say, but every one of those twats was wearing (badly) my regimental cap badge & beret, for no other reason than that one of their members had allegedly served in a ta unit & still had backdoor access to some kit cheap😬. 
 
I was far from impressed & had to have a word, quite a few actually, some of them you wouldn't repeat to the vicar lol.

Yes, it is a chunk of money but the quality is outstanding, the lenses are crystal clear,  the eye relief is unbelievable allowing quick target acquisition and of course the fully transferable Vortex lifetime warranty meaning it holds its resale value. I also run gas blowback rifles so that was also a factor in the decision.

My purchase of the famous Austrians Plate Carrier presented me with a slight problem. MK5 Thunderflash don’t easily fit in the fancy laser cut MOLLE (although Mk4 Osprey pouches fit like a glove!!) so I had to come up with a solution.
 
I jumped into Fusion 360 and designed a holder for 4 thunder flashes and can be Velcro attached to where ever there is spare Velcro on the PC. 3D printed in black and then tensioned with shock cord. Very pleased with my invention (although I did get the original idea from a post on this very forum, sorry can’t find the original poster, thanks for the idea anyway).

I like it. I am no where near a fan boy but I have just ordered a plate carrier and hydration in the new pattern. I have been looking at getting a plate carrier but wanted something that didn’t make me sweat like a fat bloke in a cake shop. Loved the features they have on theirs and for the price I thought why not. Now I know if I had looked around I could have found the original design that they ripped off but do I want to spend that time doing that?
 
I don’t understand the hatred that people have towards him. I understand that he takes designs or features from other kit etc and creates his version but doesn’t every company do that. Even Supermarket’s look at their competitors and copy what they are doing to stay competitive etc. no one moans about Sainsburys stocking what Lidl has? Or that Ford now has a feature in their Car that Mercedes invented.
 
Like I say, I am not a fanboy, this is the first thing I have ever bought from his site but as I see it, his videos are not the ‘Cheater implodes’ crap (although he did do some in the past but I think his friend Silo put a stop to that). He has built a platform to promote his products which is good marketing and he brings people into our sport which makes it better for us in the long run.
 
Looking forwards to getting my plate carrier and replacing my creaking battle belt and yoke. 6 gas mags, pyro and a radio are starting to show its limitations…

Been eying one up for ages, and it was the only one they had and in the colour i wanted so... I think it was inevitable that it was coming home with me. Never got chance to use it last night though as they had no Co2 left. But hey ho. Still mega happy.

A mate who runs shows has seen a drop in footfall.  I simply don't think that there is much spare cash around for a variety of reasons.  
 
Luckily, I think that we are like alcoholics unaffected by the minimum unit pricing.  It's too late for us to kick the pew habit now.   They'll have to pry our rifs from our cold stiff hands, all the heating money squandered on running around the woods in fancy dress.

Actually went to a skirmish for once at Free Fire Zone near Bourne, only 30 players but the small teams made it a fun day.  Rocked my MWS in the morning and got some ridiculous shots with it before switching to the new VFC FAL in the afternoon.  OMFG that thing is brilliant.  Absolute tack driver out to 60m+.  Consistently outranged every AEG on the field.  Who said you can't use gas guns in winter?

@RobHedleyIts loud but nowhere near as loud as the VFC FAL.  Skirmished that today, fuck me, the G3 is lovely but the FAL is streets ahead.
