I'm officially a Uni drop out, signed the papers this morning. Feel much better now. Just have to find something to do...

Or just go get a job in the British Channel Islands. I went to Jersey in the Channels this summer. When the gun bans on certain categories of firearms came about in this country, they stood up. Roads were blocked because everyone was protesting to their Government. And to this day they are still enjoying shooting real steel handguns and fullbore Semi-Automatic rifles... Just like everybody else in Europe is.
-
Yep. Northern Ireland still has Handguns like all the British Channel Islands do (Isle Of Man, Guernsey etc... Not the Isle of Wright though). And if you are a member of the Police, Armed Forces and Prison Service also I believe, you are allowed to conceal carry a Handgun on your person. It is only Jersey who allows fullbore Semi-Automatic Rifles still though. I'm working there for 7 months early next year. Can't wait. Lot's of shooting to be done and improve my skills for sure.

So my Uni lot have started getting their UKARA now, so far we've got 4 G&G M4s, a VFC SCAR L and a G&P Mk.46 added to the groups armoury. I taught them well... :')
-
Anyone interested in a Mk6 helmet? £20 posted? Need to shift it sharpish.
-
Quite amazed that DICE and EA have actually released BF4 at all. It ought to be called BugField: Unlimited.
-
Been on a film binge lately, watched Judge Dredd and Blade Runner so far, anyone got any recommendations?
-
Want too many things =[
-
Kittens! First thought? I wonder how much they'll sell for... I can buy airsoft gear, as a present from the cat, for putting up with her for a year!

The mother is a Persian pure breed, and cost us £350 as a 3 month old kitten last year, but the father is just your average house cat, tabby black thing.
So the kittens are nothing special, and I probably won't even get to have any of the money =[ But I was still hoping lol. We'll probably get £100 for them at the most, £40 at worst.
Still, better than nothing. And it's not like we didn't try to find a male Persian.

Where's my RA-Tech M4 CQBR, AF-UK?! I are disappoint.

AR DMR GBBR build... Or full Vietnam loadout? I can't decide. =[

Wasn't there a few G3/HK33 floating around 'Nam, Thai and Navy Seals? Could go for this or other more obscure 'nam loadouts rather than just dressing lie a grunt with a paper pack of ciggies strapped to your helmet. although if you're not dressing like a grunt then prob no-one will know exactly what it is. And the main rule of coolness is if you have to explain why it's cool then it isn't cool.
-
Well, I have it and it's lovely. But dear god the performance is appauling.

Anyone recommend a good sniper hop rubber? My stock one lasted about 60 shots at 500fps... Has to be a VSR type.

I got my R-Hop patches from AirLab, would have thought they'd be the same from everywhere though?
About the barrel, there's so much debating on whether the tightest you can find is better, wider is better or whether somewhere in the middle is. From what I've read, the general thoughts are that 6.01 for closer ranges, giving a higher FPS increase, and wider barrels (6.05+) for long range rifles, as they create a more stable flight with a cushion of air around the BB.
-
New Osprey ought to be here this week, JDAirsoft ought to be restocking the sniper I'm after soon, I've spoken to a guy about getting me a new helmet, and my loan came through today! January is looking good

Discovered I can make triangles! ∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆
-
Everything's here! My new sniper weighs a freakin' ton! D= My L85 feels like an ideal CQB gun in comparison haha.

The weight is almost entirely forward of the hop unit... So it's like holding a minimi with both arms out stretched.
Weighs about 6.5/7kg with the scope on and mag in.
So not as much as a SAW, but the weight makes you feel it a lot more.
Not to mention you have to juggle the weight in one arm whilst you cock the spring back, which isn't particularly light either.
-
Nick! try wielding the SAW with one hand like a Pistol, That is what he's feeling Nick do you even lift? Mine felt like a Toy in the weight Department it was so light! i could one hand it for 4 whole minute's upon which my wrist would give in and i wouldn't be able to use my hand for 3 hour's wonder how long i could do it for now....
-
No one buy any of the new Ares sniper rifles. They are the most badly designed weapons ever, period. The BBs can fall from the feeding mech back into the cylinder area, the mags don't feed, the feeding mechanism doesn't work, they can't be upgraded beyond the barrel, hop arm, piston, spring guide and spring, and if JD will take it, I will be sending it back, or swapping it for a lump of shit. As that would be less disappointing...
-
I wish all the advertising report stuff on YouTube actually made sense... I have no idea what any of the figures mean, what kind of money I'm making, what portion of it I actually get... Nothing like making life easy, eh?
-
I have a PS4. Good God, did they have to make it so easy to hate, and hard to use? My name was taken, my card details are "wrong" and WarThunder has been adapted HORRIBLY for use with a controller. Quite disappointed. I'll be getting BF4 tomorrow though, so hopefully it'll be easier to judge once I'm playing something I know.
-
L119... Or Mk12? Hmm...
-
Dear god. The Works run by Cerberus is the most diabolically wank site I have ever been to. And I've been to quite a few.

I'll be adding a review to the forums imminently, going over all the issues I had all day too.

Airsoft blog, what would people like to read? Hit me with suggestions.
-
Just written my first blog post for UK Airsoft. Anyone want to read it ahead of it being added to their website? It could do with being proof read by someone who isn't me, if nothing else... Yay o' nay?

I wrote it in Word and then pasted it over to Facebook, where the lines ended on Word and dropped to a new line, they didn't start a new line on Facebook, which for some reason means it had to not leave a space... I added a ton of spaces back in but must've missed some.
As for the phrase, I think it's clear enough what I mean.

I used to fly a ducted fan A10 and a sort of cessna-type thing, both electric. As well as various different gliders. Not done it for a while though, 'cos the club I was a part of decided you have to pass some sort of practical test to get a license or certificate or something and without it, they won't insure me.
So I've not done anything since then, even though the test will be a piece of piss, I think it's a joke that they suddenly decided to force you to do it,...
-
Really love the A10's I always was gunna get one lol, then again I never assembled the f16 electric duct fan … I only got it as I was fed up of cleaning caster oil (or what ever the oil in the fuel was) off my trainer. I know what you mean, I had the application pack for my licence/insurance but had to give up before I took my test
