  1. well, there goes any hope i had of selling anything on here
  2. ffs shut up dude, i had them fooled with the long con
  3. this is why i like the forum environment, gives you a better feel for the person you're buying/selling with. i'm much less dubious of buying from someone i see posting regularly and being part of the community. of course its understandable that the likes of ebay etc are going to have that extra layer of paranoia surrounding them.
  4. As much as i'm against scammers and have sympathy for their victims, posting the guys bank details for all and sundry seems a tad ott no? I mean we've already named and shamed the guy so folk should know to avoid.
  5. you've not met the kind of players i've seen, our record so far is failing to call a broadside from a 40-mike...... couple of months back running the dragonuv there was a chap in that position, called me over to take a shot (because of course big gun with a scope=more range but that's by the by and tbf i was yeeting .48's), my first shot went about a foot over the guys head, close enough for him to flinch but definately not a hit, meanwhile all i'm hearing is "you hit him you hit him". likewise yesterday i was being credited with a double kill despite being 99% certain the first guy the bb passed didn't make contact (ironically he was the guy i was aiming at, the second bloke walked out at the wrong time) unless you not only see the bb land, but you know it's close enough to impact with authority and hasn't bounced off a mag pouch or something where they might legitimately have not felt/heard it, then you gotta give them the benefit of the doubt.
  6. Oh for sure, the diminishing returns is strong in this hobby. The biggest lesson i learnt from the m4 is perfection is nice but not worth the effort over "good enough" and that was after having incrementally got it there over the guts of a decade
  7. Tbh e&l's stock barrel/bucking are pretty passable, although i'm not saying you shouldnt throw a macaron in there......
  8. The problem with "upgrades" is the ability to make a gun perform better often lies in simply assembling it properly with a few choice parts in the places where they really count. Its not a case of buying the most expensive iteration of each component, slapping them together and expecting the end result to be better.
  9. Are the biscuits and beverages provided? If so can we set the age limit at say, my age minus a year? 😛
  10. Kinda situational really, depends how far back the spawn is, how realistic the enemy advancing is etc. These days i try to focus more on not getting hit than on hitting other people, so i normally do take the full walk (and generally try a different direction/angle) Ofc the solution is fall back games without fixed respawns, although you still get folks with very short legs who can do 30 paces in about 5m
  11. a fair point, only really works if you're being honest and giving a realistic interpretation of how long it should take to get back into the action. ofc airsoft is filled with things that only really work if you're being honest.....
  12. can we take a moment to appreciate the position of that foregrip?
  13. as long as from the enemy's perspective you walk out of their sight and don't come back for a realistic amount of time i don't see the issue.
  14. so, ummm

    this is a thing:

the ak isn't as unweildy as you'd think as long as you're not filling the whole front end with aluminium rails.....

    3. Skara

I know that they aren't unweildy ;) My 74u is actually pretty balanced despite being made of granite or something.

It's just that adding 800 grams right on the tip would make it really unbalanced.

it's not so bad, had a pretty heavy can on my e&l 74u.

this is going to be a situational thing though, for night games etc.

although granted it does make a stronger argument for getting a 105 over a 74m :P

  15. same, i mean when you're selling secondhand stuff you're gonna be taking such a loss anyway from depreciation. same with paypal fees, end of the day it's the price you pay for convenience of being able to safely accept money and not worth arguing over. skipping a days shooting is going to save you more money than you're gonna lose in postage+fee's most of the time.
  16. agreed, both buying and selling it's easier to just give a straight posted price. only time i can see postage being a big enough issue to deal with separately is if you're posting international which isn't a massive issue given most of our members are uk based.
  17. not really an issue with the pricing here given all the stuff that comes with it, but a dsg on a barrel that length? edit: forget that, looky what i just found: even if it's a recoil model that's a tad steep given the info provided.....
  18. why did i decide to try refinishing the makarov with aluminium black, soooooo much sanding......

  19. In theory yes, additionally it'll lose energy slightly faster than an equivalent 6mm projectile so at the same range it'll also have less energy to be transferring over that larger area. Of course if its sub 1j at the muzzle then frankly such an argument is pointless anyway because it aint gonna be layin down that much hurt even point blank.
  20. honestly so many still don't. you'll get places will kick you off for being 1fps over with the hop turned off but don't bother chrono'ing pistols or care about joule creep. end of the day what matters is that the rounds your sending downrange in-game are within the specified energy limit.
  21. all you need is the weight of ammo. the diameter is irrelevant for muzzle energy calculations, indeed it only comes into play if you're trying to work out things like drag/magnus lift but that's well beyond the scope of what a site needs to do. it isn't all that hard to take X energy and print out a strip for all the common bb weights showing the appropriate fps, sites are just too wedded to the whole chrono'ing on .2's thing.
  22. Agreed, cant see any reason why 8mm would be banned. Unskirmishable due to rarity of guns that use it and ammo to fire yes, but not any other reason.
  23. Fair point, i mean if i coulda got new prices.......
  24. maybe the nozzle? tends to be one of the few things i tend to replace on cyma/jg boxes.
