  1. Thought tou had to be looking in a mirror when you said his name for that to work?
  2. It wouldnt be the worst assumption to hope the cyma svd and svu use the same nozzle length. You can mod them yourself although you really want to be using a proper lathe to do it properly, i've done it with the polarstar jack nozzle bit theres no reason you couldnt do an f2 nozzle (the f2 being the platform i'd reccommend for a dmr build) Maybe wolverine does something similar, just cant say for certain as my experience is all polarstar stuff but my intuition thinks its a similar story.
  3. Nozzle length is the big problem methinks. Not sure what the box style is on the cyma, last svd aeg i worked on was i think a king arms and was 100% weird internally. Most manufacturers will offer some range of nozzles, but this may be limited. Best option is to figure out what the closest equivalent is and going from there. I'm not too familiar with the wolverine stuff but i know polarstar will make you a custom nozzle for the f2 if you need it, add the universal trigger board wired into the stock contacts and should be able to make something of it.
  4. To play devil's advocate to your devils advocate (does that make it a double or anti devil?) The ad has been up for a fair while, it doesnt take 15 hours to take a couple of snaps on a mobile and upload them. I'm not saying the gun he's selling is actually in bad condition or anything, i'm saying thats the reasonable and safe assumption people are going to quickly draw from that ad not having proper pics. Which for a £550 price tag is gonna be more risk than most are gonna accept.
  5. See the moment i see that, the first thought that springs to mind is "the one he's selling must be in shit condition" Thats actually worse than no photos because he's demonstrated the capability of taking them.
  6. Yeah, thats whats making me think he's done the same again.
  7. Think he's hiding because he doesnt like being reminded that he cant go shooting with lockdown.
  8. Yeah, i found whilst the range and accuracy with the super heavies was fantastic, realistically i'm just not able to shoot that well with a pistol so was kinda pointless. Run her on .32's these days, nice middle ground.
  9. ahh ups, that firearms declaration for an odin m12 rebuild kit.....

  10. it's a case of quality and QC i've not used the shs plastic ones but they seem to be well liked, and perhaps a nice switch from a standard type. the advantage of the rotary style is finer adjustment for the likes of flat/r/maple leaf style hops that have a smaller "sweet spot" for lifting. the maxx unit is very nice, but perhaps not worth the money unless the rest of the build is already pretty well dialed in to take advantage of it.
  11. Fair enough. Maybe its just an ad-hoc thing then. I assumed they'd lean to spring cutting as it would presumably save money.
  12. Interesting the lct was for sure cut down. Unless maybe it was an e&l downgraded gun? The one i picked up recently (granted from the classifieds) had the e&l downgrade paperwork and was a brand new spring. As i said i dont put much store in it, theres no substitute for having your own chrono to be sure its kosher before you hit the field.
  13. no, those deprectiate really badly, like really really badly. i mean i could be persuaded to take it off your hands......
  14. can't comment on TG but gunfire seems to cut the stock spring down, they do a decent enough job tbf. it's just a thing i've seen on a couple of guns now- stupid hot springs with a hole drilled in the cylinder. needless to say the piston head was not in a pretty state.....
  15. only seen one of them in the local shop, looks very expensive although i'm not entirely sure i'd want to skirmish that.
  16. i see @L3wisD is on top of that scam. begs the question where (or possibly why) did this guy get 3 nearly identical evo's filled with a very similar list of shiny parts? i feel like placing bets on them shooting worse than a stock evo.....
  17. i assume it's easier for them to offer 310 as this is not only uk but also a bunch of other places (ireland for example) being a serial tinkerer i'm only really concerned with the potential legal issues, often i've seen 1j rated stuff putting out about 0.5j so i tend to just assume a spring change is gonna be required. on a side note: manufacturers/techs/retailers who "downgrade fps" by drilling holes in things please just stop, it hurts my soul on a fundamental level.....
  18. seemingly everything made by hephaestus. fella recently got his hands on one of the hudsons (dunno the brand) seemed to think it might end up appreciating. nice pistol though.
  19. what bucking you running? i'm running a green autobot and with a rubber shim under the hop arm it'll lift even .48's (and bulge the nozzle every other mag ) effeciency wise i havent found much, you could look at aftermarket piston heads, i kind of heath-robinson'd a cowcow one with a chunk o ring and a lot of sanding and whilst it's definately helped the warm effeciency (as in ability to run more than 1 mag) i've yet to try it in the cold. really need to get this refinishing done.....
  20. i just reply with it being the listed price and ask for their defence, usually that sorts things out. don't really do haggling, but then i'm also not really talking to sellers at all unless i'm already happy with the value of what they're selling.
  21. that's standard UPS procedure, they did it to me for a bloody f2000 hop unit, the form is a pain. you don't have to put a ukara on it for non ukara parts but if you have one it probably won't hurt. kinda sad it takes it 2 days the cross half the planet and 2 weeks to get out of their depot.....
  22. the odin is a fantastic product and imo absolutely essential kit for mid cap users, but i can't say i'm sold on the idea of using it to fill gbb mags.
  23. we do have mack's, which is certainly a novel way of dealing with the problem. end of the day it is the buyers responsibility to do their own research on the item they're about to buy, including realistic estimates of what the price should be, and acknowledging the reality that any gun or peice of equipment (yes even brand new from a retailer) has no guarantee of performance or longevity.
  24. i'd go for 300, you could get the 364 but then you'd have to either chop it (a hassle and can ruin the barrel) or cover it with a suppressor or such. tbh in the short term i wouldn't bother changing the barrel just yet, as a general rule the other factors (ammo weight/quality, hop, good air seal, good energy for the site limit etc) have much more influence than the barrel does so you're better off pursuing them first.
  25. this is my normal response, but generally i'm aiming somewhere a little less sensitive. last time i gave a bang kill it was that close, had the barrel of the makarov against the guys shoulder, although granted an 0.75j gun into a padded webbing strap is a totally different kettle of fish. you did the right thing (annoying as i'm sure it was to go through), a little compassion for the poor sod on the recieving end goes a long way.
