  1. that is a fair point, i thought there was a specific rule against retailers plying their trade via the classifieds. i know there are some strict policies about self-promotion for the various retailers on the forum.
  2. i remember it being discussed, but i think the consensus was to stick with using mack's.
  3. there's a lesson here for new players: normally the airsoft community doesn't bat an eyelid at a 2-tones gun because we're all well aware of the issues a newer player faces and the excitement at wanting to get new kit. it's a necessary evil and we accept that. however, you 2-tone something nice and prepare to be a pariah......
  4. solid advice there the mistake you're making is trying to sell everything as a single package. you're selling a vector, meaning your prospective buyer is probably going to be more interested in it as a cqb gun, therefore a magnified optic like that is worthless to them. same applies for the drum mag, some folk just dont like marracca's hanging off their gun so for those people a drum is just going to be something that's either not going to get used or is hassle for them to sell on. as freefrag correctly points out if a manufacturer isn't specified and it can't be easily identified from the photos then people reasonably have to assume the worst when estimating value. for example if i were in the market for a vector and saw that ad what i'd see is a gun, some midcaps, couple of batteries in unknown condition and a bunch of stuff that will either need to be sold on again or end up permanent residents in various boxes of random airsoft bits. now you could strike lucky and find someone who just happens to want, whilst simultaneously not currently having, exactly the combination of bits your selling. but that's really narrowing your market.
  5. i mean it aint pretty, but i've seen worse. it still looks like a gun. you really want to ruin it then you need to trim that barrel down.
  6. i've contemplated asking that question myself, but i'm worried the answer will be yes.....
  7. I had the same initial reaction, but given the authenticity of the source and i can confirm the flavour (with plenty of thyme) is really quite pleasant. Its less like pizza as we'd consider it though, no cheese or tomato, just dough base with thin potato slices and strips of red onion.
  8. snap, had the luxury of the true Neapolitan pizza experience courtesy of a work colleague from Naples. turns out potato and onion pizza is a thing and a lot nicer than it sounds. i do agree on the pizza stone, i have one i use regularly and it does wonders for preventing mid-pizza soggyness.
  9. isn't that the only reason we buy anything for airsoft
  10. yeah, zoom is handy for tracking shots in case you're not confident in the honesty of the target but it's definately overkill for actually getting the hits, but there's no other optic you can run on a dragonuv the pk-a i'm not sure, twas a china special job although it does have the proper (by which i mean just some hammerite slapped onto it) finish unlike the nuprol ones i've seen popping up recently. but given i can see the plastic ring inside it and the spring/adjuster setup (exactly like the really cheap red dots) i'm not so sure, looks cool as hell though.
  11. i'm kind of going off my secondhand Real sword pso, the actual length of the eye releif isn't so much the problem (it's funnily enough right at the end of the eye cup) it's the way it kind of blots out your entire world. i've tried it without the eye cup and that makes the reticle harder to pick up. it's the kind of thing would probably be just fine if you were picking people off at 500m but not so much for essentially snap shooting at sub 50m. i suppose in fairness i'm not a big one for running magnification anyway, i'd even run my pk-a in preference for airsoft ranges but i'm kind of scared that a gbb would shake it apart (my clone pka is beautiful externally but bargain basement red dot on the inside)
  12. tbh i have a suspicion it's as much a factor of late 50's soviet optics tech not being all that great.
  13. Yeah, the reticle is pretty fine/hard to pick up too (although granted i do like the principle of its operation) Man i need a gun to run the pk-a on....
  14. The pso is a pretty bad optic by modern standards, but man they look so awesome and steampunk. I did see someone selling contemporary russian nv scopes and man i wish i had the cash spare.....
  15. not gonna lie, i would be tempted to pay good money to see luke have a crack at a systema, not £1700 mind you....
  16. this is the key thing, systemas are expensive yes but thats a lot of money to spend without any specifics as to what you're actually buying.
  17. having seen the insides of one of those kwa's i wouldn't buy it based on that alone. i find it hard to beleive someone actually looked at a v2 gearbox and thought "hmm this needs more springs"
  18. the f2000 saga continues.

    new hop unit- check

fresh ml macaron with omega nub- check

    feeds every round- check

    actually reliable on semi-check

fps at least approaching 1j- whoops, we're getting 40.....

I am getting such bad luck with the ML omega nub combination with lots of rifles recently in terms of feeding, huge FPS drops when hop applied and general inconsistency.

I changed the ML on my T97, L85 and XM8 DMR to a Prommy Purple, Guarder clear and G&G green respectively. Much better dealing and less FPS drops.

It might not help in your situation.

My F2000 had a ML nub combo, but it's an AUG style hop unit in the Cyma/JG and hasnt given me any problems.

i don't think it's the hop rubber, this is the exact same issue she had with the PDI W-hop that was in previously.

normally the feeding issue is the feedlips are too long but she's sitting just perfect atm.

i'll have another crack at it today, if not i suspect she might be features on negative airsoft's next haunted guns show....

      ok, now i'm very suspicious

turns out the piston air seal wasn't quite as good as i thought (seemed to intermittently just not seal) so a new o-ring and now we're firing proper numbers.

makes me worried, something is about to break, i know it.....

  19. there's nothing inherently wrong with doing up a gun how you want, as long as you aren't under any illusions that you are reducing your target market.
  20. This is the key thing, the quality of the paint job isnt the issue. For example i quite like the sigs, and that rifle in its original colours, maybe olive furniture, would be quite nice to me. But that paint job, again, to me, is just something that would need stripped before i'd want to use it. I suppose we're all guilty of it to some degree, i know i have guns that are very niche.
  21. Possibly another case of hoping the camo job adds value.
  22. i must confess i do think the g36's reputation has been somewhat tarnished by its use as a rental gun. although tbf there are a lot of guns people don't like "because they're plastic" regardless of wether or not it's realistic for them to be such.
  23. hmmm, already contemplating a new barrel.....

  24. why do i do this to myself?

always gotta make a new challenge, now it's trying to extract consistent fps from a gbb.....

    1. EDcase

      EDcase

      Get into sorcery instead...

      Its easier 😆

      starting to think that.

trying to set the npas on this dragonuv and it's not fun, might be easy stripped but you gotta to that every goddamn time to adjust it....

  25. Might check them out, more accuracy is always good.
