Turns out mags are a pain, you gotta use the tube

Mods tube to fit standard speedloader

    This does not work

@Rogerborg yep that pretty much sums it up perfectly.

i suppose at least my total ammo capacity of 160 rounds isn't that bad to fill up one by one.....

  2. oh, lol i thought you'd meant the other way round. i mean snapping at a customer is unprofessional but not unforgivable when there's context behind it.
  3. it does indeed read like he's had a long hard day and getting notifications right before bed was the straw that broke the camels back, however snapping at someone is one thing, following it up is another. i mean if he'd replied the next day and simply said "yeah i'm sorry, been a very rough day that was unprofessional" then that would be fine, but the rest of his reaction is just adding fuel to the fire.
  4. next day is always better. i generally hold to the standard of expecting folk to check/respond to their emails once per working day so i never expect a reply in any shorter time than 24 hours. if that's how it went down then i must admit i'd find it hard to sympathise with milspec on this, people send messages at all hours, hell how does he know the guy isn't in a different time zone and emailing him at 2pm?
  5. the last post on the timeline reads like classic pissed off and angry to me. but again hard to tell if that's a position to be sympathetic to without the full story. ahh well, i already got my svd mags from ky anyway.....
  6. see this is why i dislike not having seen the start of how things all kicked off, i'd rather read the original comments he and the customer had because out of context it's hard to judge if it was the reaction of an arsehole, a joker, or a stressed shop owner losing his mind over yet another difficult customer. seeing things in retrospect/secondhand makes it much harder for me to form my own opinion.
  7. this is one of the things i hate about the internet is when the original drama thread gets deleted and you missed the party. that's the price i pay for living under a rock i guess
  8. i have so many of those now, i keep forgetting to ask them not to include them as i never wear patches.
  9. the problem i have is carbon is notoriously bad at dealing with impact damage, and the idea of something like that taking a bump against a tree or such is quite worrying. they're likely hideously over-built but that still doesn't inspire confidence. that and impact tag rounds are the 2 things in airsoft that genuinely scare me.
  10. for the sake of bringing things back on topic: so leaving aside my deep professional concern as to the notion of putting carbon fibre under immense pressure then subjecting it to potential impact events..... £250 for an 88ci carbon tank? even if i was mad enough to buy one i could get brand new for sub £220 or alternately you could buy a secondhand dive tank for ~£130, fill adapter for ~£40-£60 and a regular 48ci tank for £40 and have a hell of a lot more air.....
  11. i dunno, we're at 14 active ads which for a 7-day expiry time means you're not really posting more than 2 ads a day on average which seems fine to me. might seem like a lot if a block of them get renewed at once but over time that's not so bad.
  12. i suppose the main point really as you say if there aren't any specific rules being broken. i mean he's not scamming anyone and if people are happy to pay retail prices for secondhand kit then that's their decision.
  13. true, however to counter that argument if he is the type you're describing, how come there aren't any really high end guns? i'm talking fully decked out daytona's etc. sounds like the kind of thing i'd be buying with that kind of cash. same applies to having multiples of the same gun. if he isn't acting as a retailer then it is problematic to be charging retail prices for secondhand hardware with no warranty (in many cases he's charging more than known retailers like firesupport and even links them in his own ad) if he is acting as a retailer and providing warranties with his products, then it's down to the forum admins to make a call as to whether or not they're happy with a retailer plying trade via the classifieds, personally i'm not in favour of it but that's just my own opinion and i'm not paying to keep the place running.
  14. that is a fair point, i thought there was a specific rule against retailers plying their trade via the classifieds. i know there are some strict policies about self-promotion for the various retailers on the forum.
  15. i remember it being discussed, but i think the consensus was to stick with using mack's.
  16. there's a lesson here for new players: normally the airsoft community doesn't bat an eyelid at a 2-tones gun because we're all well aware of the issues a newer player faces and the excitement at wanting to get new kit. it's a necessary evil and we accept that. however, you 2-tone something nice and prepare to be a pariah......
  17. solid advice there the mistake you're making is trying to sell everything as a single package. you're selling a vector, meaning your prospective buyer is probably going to be more interested in it as a cqb gun, therefore a magnified optic like that is worthless to them. same applies for the drum mag, some folk just dont like marracca's hanging off their gun so for those people a drum is just going to be something that's either not going to get used or is hassle for them to sell on. as freefrag correctly points out if a manufacturer isn't specified and it can't be easily identified from the photos then people reasonably have to assume the worst when estimating value. for example if i were in the market for a vector and saw that ad what i'd see is a gun, some midcaps, couple of batteries in unknown condition and a bunch of stuff that will either need to be sold on again or end up permanent residents in various boxes of random airsoft bits. now you could strike lucky and find someone who just happens to want, whilst simultaneously not currently having, exactly the combination of bits your selling. but that's really narrowing your market.
  18. i mean it aint pretty, but i've seen worse. it still looks like a gun. you really want to ruin it then you need to trim that barrel down.
  19. i've contemplated asking that question myself, but i'm worried the answer will be yes.....
  20. I had the same initial reaction, but given the authenticity of the source and i can confirm the flavour (with plenty of thyme) is really quite pleasant. Its less like pizza as we'd consider it though, no cheese or tomato, just dough base with thin potato slices and strips of red onion.
  21. snap, had the luxury of the true Neapolitan pizza experience courtesy of a work colleague from Naples. turns out potato and onion pizza is a thing and a lot nicer than it sounds. i do agree on the pizza stone, i have one i use regularly and it does wonders for preventing mid-pizza soggyness.
