  1. Airsoftworld OR some HK shop. There is fuck all available in Europe for some reason. Whatever you want, the stock barrel is good out of the box, I don't see the point of swapping it.
  2. Correct, the screws self thread into the upper's plastic. It's not a solution I like because the chances of wrecking the whole upper are high should you bash the optic onto something, but from what I see most people don't mind. Btw just saw your post on the FB group
  3. Nothing special this time, just part of the kit I ran yesterday.
  4. Had a blast today but we all left earlier (around 11 AM) because the heat is unsustainable now. I parked my car in the shadow and the when we got back it said 35°! Way too fucking much for me. Nonetheless we managed to play a fair bit of games, we got a couple of new members and overall the day went smoothly. On the technical side, I took the 933 which performed flawlessly and the aap, unfortunately this one decided to die on its first 3 shots, the hop wasn't doing anything other than pissing bbs at 5 metres (turns out it still doesn't like MR-Hops even with a TDC installed) so I threw it in my backpack and kept playing. Shame as I would have liked to test the TDC potential. I am forcing myself to drink regularly, it's something I don't usually do but staying hydrated is key on my field, I ended up drinking 4 litres of water without even realising it until I got back to the car, luckily there's a bar/restaurant thingy on the way back. While we were at said bar we started talking about random stuff, at some point one guy approaches us asking what club we were part of, when we told him he started spouting insults for no reason (he's a member of the cheater club we used to play with a couple of years ago). Okay, I guess
  5. Go get a Perun V3 Hybrid. Advanced Titan functionalities for the price of a basic Aster.
  6. Go SAS style with a humongous maglite bolted to the top. A full sized maglite, that is.
  7. Ares go home, you're drunk!

to be fair though, modified guns with fancy electronics aren't generally difficult to use, they're just difficult to build.

you plug in the battery, pop in the magazine and pull the trigger same as anything else.

granted when it stops working then there's a problem, but it's not like current aeg's are immune from that anyway.

On one hand you finally have some real innovation entering Airsoft that these days is revolving about repackaging and selling mostly the same stuff in different wrapper... on another said innovation comes under ARES brand... it's a toss-up - either it's gonna be fucking amazing and Ares is gonna rebuild their reputation or it's gonna be made out of cheese and impossible to find parts for because it's Ares... I'm pessimist by nature so not really holding my breath but I will give credits where it's due if it exceeds the expectations.

  8. I'm interested. A teammate of mine bought it, I was looking at the gen 2 something? In the meantime, ordered two AAP short stroke thingamabobs from Hadron.
  9. I fully understand why the site owner pulled that stunt, but I don't agree with him and genuinely think it was a shit move to piss off a bunch of locals. After all locals are the major source of income for sites so they should be treated almost like kings. If we were to become greedy fucks, I think I'd quit playing Airsoft for good (I manage the finances of my club btw).
  10. Car-15 style slim handguard yay or nay?

Seems like you've answered your own question then (unless cost ends up being prohibative). I hate the look of crane stocks and find them far too wide for my comfort, but appreciate the functional element in terms of battery storage (I prefer sleek/slim stocks, my favourite two being the B5 systems repro CAR stock and the BCM Gunfighter fwiw).

Again very much an opinion thing, but since using the Unity mount on ARs and the Zenitco B-18 on AKs I'm entirely into jacking those optics up nice and high. So much more comfortable for me, in the not too distant future I'll be looking into having a carry handle transplated onto an MWS upper to do the whole Gordy/Blood Diamond thing. Though much like you, I'm definitely not using an A1/A2 grip with the BCM mod 3 being my preference.

As always, you do you. As long as it's not landing you in crippling debt you know as well as I do that the moment you're asking this sort of question around here that you're already definitely buying it irrelevent of what gets said 😅.

Saying about wanting a ‘Gordon’ inspired look to an M4 i’ve got a classic army 733 used in BHD , greenzone and possibly blood diamond on its way to me soon . Couple of yrs ago a prop house who supplied these films with most of the guns used was selling off its airsoft inventory , and a friend who does work for the guy who bought a big chunk of the stock is helping him sell them on .

Small update, I can't seem to find a good slim handguard in stock (in Europe, that is), so now I am leaning towards a very simple and boring KAC RIS one (cqbr/mk18 mod.0).

  11. The website you linked sends to RC models. Get one, but please buy the buffer tube version, this because the lower receiver is proprietary and I would rather have the buffer tube adapter rather than trying to print one out of thin air. Everything else is just bog standard M4/V2 stuff, so plenty of spares and upgrades available. If the Titan knock off dies, you can replace it with whatever you want.
  12. Cellar gear, tacbelts-uk, templars I guess
  13. 'twas an odd day. It's definitely becoming way too hot to play. Wearing synthetic shit didn't help either. The new chest rig worked really well, I like how light it is even when loaded. We are now at 36 members with an active count of 15+ each Sunday, most are new kids, teamwork is growing but we are still not ready for tournaments, only a handful of people (including me) have experience with those. Which sucks dicks because we have one tournament scheduled on the 11th of July. So back to yesterday, there is this guy who always shows up late, thinks he has the right to do whatever the fuck he wants just because he paid, which is definitely not the case here, so after him being annoying all day I took him to the side and gave him one last chance at behaving before handing back his money and kick him out of the club. I mean, we meet at 8 AM on the field for a reason, especially during the warmer months, it gets unplayable after 10:30 AM so we try to play as much as possible before, you can't show up at 9 and then complain that we don't wait for you, or that we go home by 11:30.. There's plenty of other clubs that have a different view on Airsoft, go join those instead.
  14. Honestly you should have waited for the edge 2.0 series. With that being said, I have the Core version and it's great for the price, albeit in mine there is fuck all left from Specna internally (just the gearbox shell, bushings and tappet plate).
  15. Hehe, I do it too sometimes. Anyway, I'm still looking for a type B mamba upper (I don't like the snakeskin like pattern on the side), but all I can find is -stupidly overpriced- type As. I feel like AA rushed to release stuff and now don't know what to do. I mean it's been a good while since they first announced the m-lok upper/handguard/thingamabob or whatever the fuck that is. In the meantime they announced and released more cosmetic stuff like triggers and extended magazine release buttons. What I'd like to see is a monolithic polymer upper receiver with a long top rail that sits flush with the stock, a bottom rail for a grip/torch and a metal thread insert, that can still be used with the stock 129mm barrel. Kinda like a black mamba, but with more thought put into it (the misaligned rails when the stock is installed trigger my OCD).
  16. You know you can gently file them down to the correct length, right? 🤣 But yeah, let him know about your issue.
  17. I ordered two things from them (a shooter belt and then a 1" inner belt about 7/8 months later), both items got posted within 4 days of ordering 😕 Also, weren't they moving to a new facility a few months ago?

Which makes it sort of fun to find the best price (lowest doesn't necessarily mean best, sometimes it's worth spending a few more coins and get an useable warranty in return, for example)
  19. You could have spent half that money for the same thing. That's what @Speedbird_666 meant. Nuprol just imports and rebrands stuff, apparently with a hefty mark-up too! (not uncommon tbf)
  20. Depending on your grip, you may want to move it on the top rail and subsequently move the front sight back a little bit. if you c-clamp like a boss you can activate the switch with your thumb, at least that's what I would do.
  21. Yesterday's game was an absolute blast! Decided to run just the pdw + drum mag and a small backpack, no belt, no chest rig, no sidearm, which turned out to be perfect for the 20°+ temperature we faced. We went for a "training day" with shorter games (10 minutes tops) since we have a tournament scheduled on the 11th of July. We also have a lot of new members who are willing to participate but have no experience, so we took the opportunity to teach them a thing or two. Overall a really good day, good hit taking and a couple of mega facepalm moments. One in particular in the last game: Picture me and three others moving through dense bushes in a sort of diamond formation with me at the back being the squad leader. We somehow missed the last defender who was lying prone inside a bush and he ended up right in the centre of the group. He takes me out with a burst to the legs, my teammates instead of magdumping said bush started returning fire in all sorts of directions except where the shots came from turns out the defender almost wiped out the entire squad if it wasn't for one guy with just a bit of common sense who opened fire in the right direction Technical side: the new Perun V2 Hybrid ran spotless, I just need to source another pdw stock (will most likely order directly from King Arms) because the stubby fixed is a little bit too short and the standard buffer tube + crane I don't like the looks of. Next Sunday, sniping time.
  22. Literally the telegram groups I'm in. When I sold the striker it took 5 days to get a "yes I confirm the purchase, here's the money" 😕 as the guy would send ONE message a day. now it's the same shit all over again for the mp5. I have like 7 messages asking "is it available?" To which I replied "yes, available", then fuck all for at least 4/5 days -.-
