  1. Saw them too! They are interesting because they don't have the stupid glock safety. I have ordered a supposedly adjustable trigger from aliexpress yesterday, €13 posted. If it works, I'll get a couple more (or these TTIs if they cost less than a lung here in Europe)
  2. So, did some troubleshooting.

The Maxx feed tube is definitely too thick and doesn't insert into my magazines unless it's really forced in.

The same applies to the knockoff old gen unit.

Now, do i sand it down?

I checked every magazine I have. They all get stuck to the chamber (I'm testing with the units on their own, not inside the gun).

I have measured the diametre and:

      Maxx ME: 9.25mm

      Maxx TE: 9.25mm

      SHS/Specna chambers: 9.02

Need to shave off 0.1mm all around the tube, will do it by hand as soon as I find a decent piece of sandpaper (or a very light pass with a dremel at the lowest speed possible with a stoney tool)

i'd say sandpaper is gonna be your best bet, trying to get an even surface with a dremel is gonna be a right pain when doing the outside of a circle.

it's a tricky one, the split feed tube seems kinda weak but also seems to work quite well, when i was running mine it'd feed every last round which was odd at first having to pump a bunch of rounds into the dirt to be sure it was clear.

So, ended up using a file in an arcing motion, which didn't turn out too bad.

I almost royally fucked it up because I went a little bit too deep on the rear part (which engages the bb retainer on the magazine) but I managed to fix that...sort of...

I'm at 9.08 now, I'll give it another pass at the front and sides (working on the Maxx sport which has a "fixed" tube instead of the leverage thingy, I have also removed the dumb tiny bb retention spring in the process).

Worst case I'll ask the guys at Maxx to send me another feed tube.

  3. Aaaand the unit doesn't feed.. Or rather, it straight up jams like a motherfucker.
  4. Sod all essentially. The tracer window is different (long single slot instead of two round holes) and I believe there is a cutout on the upper side of the ME for an empty magazine detection thingy that hasn't been released yet. I do have a ME already so I might take a closer look when I get home.
  5. I use Lonex flash mags primarily and they are a little bit stiffer to insert and don't fall when the mag release is pressed (no biggie), although my G&G midcaps became a cunt to insert, so I posted them for sale and bought some EPM clones from Battleaxe to try out. This on a MAXX ME Sport, as soon as I get home tonight I'll test this one and see what happens. Just me being an idiot really. I want to demonstrate that the psionic r-hop bollocks is way overpriced and I can achieve the same performance without dropping €100 on a barrel + patch. Also tighter groupings at range is a nice bonus.
  6. Yeah we've already done a comparison between this thing and a genuine ME (sport), the build quality is the exact same, everything matches 1:1 so I assume it's just old stock that the factory rebranded to Kublai (while leaving the TE markings) and is selling for half-ish the price. I can find the same unit in Italy for €50 but at that point I can spend the extra €10/15 and get a genuine ME. All this bollocks so I can squeeze 10 more metres of range off my M4s while gaining a whole lotta compatibility issues with magazines
  7. My MAXX knockoff hop unit just arrived. It does specifically say "MAXX TE PRO" on the instructions leaflet tho
  8. TM mk23.

Can't even begin to describe how much better than the ssx23 piece of wank that thing is..

      For real though.

I just compared them side by side.

Why did I buy a ssx back then, I still don't know..

Wasnt the whole deal with the ssx that it came with a metal slide?

Why don't you try? I'm no Nov fanboy but would disagree. The SSX23 seems like his best offering by far.

  9. Here it is Also my Hadron parts got here as well, will install tonight
  10. Yeah my phone screen is very slippery...... No, wait a minute....
  11. There are just two SM retailers that I trust. Also this one is the only one with the mk23 in stock.
  12. I can be so clumsy at times... Was browsing one San Marino website and my finger slipped. It appears that I had a TM mk23 in the cart, and it appears that my finger slipped again and confirmed the PayPal payment, how embarrassing to be so clumsy at 29..
  13. Battleaxe EPM clones, yay or nay?

Specna in general is a brand I’ve never had any kit from so I’ve got nothing of use to contribute there I’m afraid. I dare say if you pop up a status like this one regarding them you’ll get plenty of responses. I guess the main thing is if you can get a dimensions comparison, as much as I’d like to assume they use the same shells for both mid’s and hi’s that would be assuming logic from an airsoft manufacturer... something I’ve learned isn’t a trait most tend to have.

      AAAAAH fuck it.

Ordered those battleaxe mags, along with a bunch of mp5 high caps and one of those cool looking mp5 midcaps :D

I was sceptical due to price etc but the one I have, performs flawlessly.

  14. Fookin hell this thing is flashy! Now, let's try and lose it on its first outing
  15. So after stripping down the ssx23 for a clean and hop rubber change, I noticed a couple of cracks into the OEM Nov tdc, the hop arm is flat instead of concave for whatever reason...It's what you get for giving Novritsch your hard earned.. So jumped on copy(skirm)shop and ordered a Hadron TDC and H-Arm, along with the two useless wii-tech nozzle springs (180% return, 200% forward, or the other way round). Next is a set of Hadron hot lips and a stronger hammer spring, whenever I can find one.
  16. BOIIIIIS! I'm bored and I'm pissed off at AA for not releasing anything about the M-Lok handguard -.- I want to finish my smg "build" and while I'm waiting for some good parts (namely the CowCow hammer sets and triggers -or the AA triggers-) I want to do the externals at least. As of now I have installed the rail set on the stock upper and noticed a horrifying flex around the outer barrel when used with a grip, in a MP9 style. Both guns are a little bit too hot for my limit (they clock in at 1.0something) so getting a longer barrel is out of question in any case, which then removes the need for a longer front end. Range and accuracy are decent, I don't feel the need for a CNC chamber....yet Something like this, in practice (picture is not mine, the owner said it was okay to share). Just a different optic (T1), suppressor and a thin and short vertical grip. Would you dig something like this?
  17. A Vulpo cnc super duper hop chamber from Aliexpress. Basically it's an old gen MAXX (TE Pro model), for €37 posted can't complain
  18. But not all countries have to deal with political dissidents though.
  19. An adjustable trigger if that's your thing. While you have the lower cracked open, it might be worth considering the full set rather than the single hammer. As far as metal threaded barrels, I'm afraid the only option is the black mamba upper or a custom made aluminium outer barrel (shouldn't be hard to do, it's basically a cylinder with a couple of holes in it). Either case is reasonably expensive though.
  20. A red Odin M12 and a MAXX hop chamber (sport). Now I'm looking at a Magpul MOE SL handguard for my 933
  21. Maxx chamber acquired.

Sport version at my local retailer, I wanted the pro solely for the bb retention thingy (that I can manually unlock), so I guess I'll just knock out the spring from this one.

Performance wise, it seems to give a much flatter trajectory to them 0.32s compared to the stock specna chamber and the range seems to have increased to just shy of 70 metres (70° MR).

In the meantime my 933 shat itself -.- it jams in full auto

Well my barrel doesn't want to move even with both grub screws removed :D

installing the CU chamber was a twat (especially the c-clip, that part was super annoying)..

    3. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

i'm sure it was a bastard getting it installed in-situ, much easier if you can remove the outer and drop-in the whole inner assembly.

    4. Skara

      Skara

Yup, but it's in there now :D

i just pray nothing happens to it or the rubber/barrel.

  23. yeah sorry, I realized that too. 80 including the work is okay, especially when you look at EdGi average price tags. I was exhausted yesterday, so my reading and comprehension skills were equal to those of a broken fire hydrant
  24. £200 for a meh hop rubber and a fancy barrel?? Holy fuck that's a lot!
