  1. I've been playing ArmA 3 for ages and I absolutely love it ❤️, but nowadays my craptop can't run it anymore (BattlEye piece of shit keeps giving me BSODs). Whenever I can be arsed to buy a new PC, I might give it a go...
  2. You mean the UV Gen IV? In that case no, I have a genuine one and it barely takes EPM clones (pouches are designed around the standard GI mags). Both the Gen V and Gen VI have different inserts for AK mags, but I don't know if there are copies of those.
  3. I say a replica of this is your best bet. Maybe with kydex inserts to increase retention (bungees are ass)
  4. 21h event this weekend. It was supposed to be rather easy, basically no elevation and not too many kilometres to hike, turned out to be hell on earth. 35° temperature, not a single cloud and stupid high humidity levels meant I got a sunstroke and had to stop after about 6 hours and roughly 20 kilometres done. Another teammate had developed huge blisters on his feet so we slowly hiked another 3km back to the safe zone. Teammate was done and I thought I was too so I packed my bag and tried to plan for the remaining of the time (communicate with the rest of my team and see how I could help them). Night comes and the rest of the team gets back to the SZ to resupply, have dinner and head out for the night phase, at this point another teammate had some issues (horrible rash on his head and forearms, we thought it was an allergy but instead it was a chemical, more on that later) so I joined back in his place. Night phase was okay, we split in two and my group (2 people) had to recon two spots, so we headed out into the woods where we had to sneak past a well lit objective because we took a shortcut. The other group (2 people) set off for a couple of sabotage objectives. After our recon sortie we went back to the SZ, slept for 2 hours and, at 5 AM, woke up to assault the last objective, then went back to SZ, had a quick breakfast, packed and went home. Kit considerations: Kit makes or breaks your loadout, in this case I should have done an entirely different thing: Helikon TMR works well on Sunday skirmishes but lacks the comfort for longer, 8 hours + events, next time I'll use the mayflower or smersh; The backpack I used has too thin shoulder straps, so at one point it started digging in my shoulders, also it's weird shaped so despite being 20 litres, it felt like 10; The new Claw Gear pants are fucking brilliant! Very, very comfortable though I might need soft knee inserts; 3 litres of water were *barely* enough before I got sick and had to go back, I need at least one extra litre, at least for summer; Need to bring a sleeping bag and pad with me, leave them in the car and use them to rest, I don't mind sleeping on the ground in summer but I woke up drenched in condensation from my poncho. Overall not a great experience, if the event was done in winter/early spring I would have enjoyed it way, way more. Also, while I was at the SZ, I saw at least three ambulances going in and out, turns out some people had it much, much worse than I did. Picture before we started
  5. Sorry forgot to update. Hammer looks straight, but at this point I will replace that too. Guarder parts any decent? I can source them locally.
  6. So you're looking at the British pound equivalent of €120 for the evolution and I would argue the same for the G&P. Mostly because we have no clue how they are internally and regardless of upgrades, the G&P doesn't seem to have anything to boost up its value.
  7. It's exactly why mine died, and it's why I'm worried about the other motor (in my M4) because whenever I disassemble the thing to do repairs and fine tuning it's nerve wrecking to remove and plug the motor. I'm so tempted to just buy a wired ESC and swap it myself on this one.
  8. The bottom gun is an Evolution Airsoft M4 Recon UX4 9" Carbontech and it goes for about €180/190 new. Essentially a Specna E-08 with red plastics and a different logo.
  9. Never rode one, but if it's like the Monster, it tends to shake itself apart very quickly.
  10. It could be that the previous owner (my friend got the gun as part of a lot one of his colleagues was selling for dirt cheap, my friend never touched it and it went straight to me) fucked around with it. Tbf it is rather scuffed inside, here are two pictures, if you want me to take better quality ones or specific parts, tell me and I'll do it tonight.
  11. Just checked, it does. As I said, with gas and BBs it works as intended, the trigger jumps forward only when dry firing.
  12. Sorry almost forgot! https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005003400015383.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.646b3696VqU8H8&gatewayAdapt=glo2ita Description says metric thread for the barrel nut, which is the AEG one. If you read imperial stuff then it's for RS (or some GBBs)
  13. At the moment, just the postage to send them the motor (€14,something)
  14. Short, crappy video of the issue. Good shout on threaded barrels and comps, I'll see what I can find Possibly both red to match the trigger
  15. Over a month later and a few emails the repaired motor seems to be on its way back to me. Will take at least another week or two because national postal service. Hopefully I can fucking use my AK for the 4th time in two years!
  16. Got home, I already have a brand new 50° Decepticon + I-Key in the gun, and I have no idea when I did that. When my TTI trigger arrives I'll also fuck off the frame safety. But anyway, I'm trying to ID the trigger issue: When I dry fire (so there is no "auto" resetting of the hammer) the trigger should, in theory, stay locked back.. in my case it doesn't happen, it is always sprung forward. If I remove the slide and fire, the trigger actually locks back, until I touch the trigger bar (slightly push it down to simulate the slide being on), in which case the trigger unlocks itself and jumps forward.. What could it be?
  17. So, in these days I ordered: 2x Vector Optics Maverick dot; 2x TTI AAP drum magwell; 5x AW glock red gas router; 1x ALG Defense 6 Seconds mount repro; A bunch of viton o-rings and x-rings; 1x AT size waterproof paper holder thingy (to store folded maps and documents); 1x DD MFR XS (RIS III) 9" repro and most likely some other thing I totally forgot about..
  18. Cool, so leave the internals alone until they die (hopefully never) and just get the cosmetic stuff. I think I already have a ML rubber + I-Key in there, I'll check later and if not, I should have a few lying around On a side note, I was browsing on Airsoft World and found out they have an EU warehouse in Slovenia, though the website looks ultra shady as they don't take PP but only credit card payments. Can anyone confirm they're actually legit or am I going to get scammed giga hard? I will also order the 6 seconds mount from AliExpress, the one I've seen states that it's made for TM/WE glocks. EDIT: Airsoftzone seems to have them in stock and I trust it as it's part of TMH, company that owns both Claw Gear and Invader Gear from which I have already made a couple of orders.
  19. Hey boiiiiis, I have this old and battered TM Glock 17 that I got from a friend for a whopping €25 two years ago (yep, bought him a LiPo battery and he gave me the gun) and it's been sitting in a drawer ever since, fires nice but the trigger has a weird problem that doesn't affect operation. I'm considering spending some shekels on it by building a race gun-sort of thinamajig. The plan is to change out a few bits like the trigger for a TTI (yup, love me a TTI trigger), add a magwell and a repro ALG Defense 6 seconds mount because reasons. Internally I am still not sure, maybe a CowCow hammer set? Yay or nay? Anything I should take care of while I crack it open? Pic for attention ❤️ EDIT: Forgot to add that this gun won't get skirmished, it's just for plinking or the odd summer night cqb game if I don't feel like using my AAPs.
  20. tfw you cheated chrono so hard you're being sent straight to the frontline
  21. Iirc G&G makes a polymer version at a lower price, but can't remember the name. Either way £300 for an ARP seems a little over the top for me, if you don't mind teching you can get more performance for less. You might want to take a look at the King Arms series of PDWs, I have the 9mm version and a full overhaul wasn't too expensive, I think I spent around €300 on mine between gun and upgrades, though I already had some parts.
  22. One week before a fun 21h event and my ankle decides to commit sudoku.

Feels good to be a wreck at 30yo....

Edit: of course the good ankle, not the one with 30 tons of titanium still in it -.-

Can you play in a less physical role?

Last game I did a chap twisted his ankle first day in and ran all the coms for the rest of the week.

Unfortunately not, our role is to hike around the place doing shit.

I do feel much better than yesterday to be fair, at least I didn't wake up cursing every deity known to man like I did yesterday.

Ankle is still swollen and looks like a melon, I have no idea how it happened, I just woke up like that. I guess I strained my Achilles's tendon because rocking my foot back and forth hurts like a bitch.

  23. Just got these in the mail. Claw Gear Mk2 Operator Pants in RAL 7013 (colour is off in the picture, it's the middle ground between OD and RG), now I *might* need some internal knee pads.
  24. 38" is bang on for my body, still a tiny bit of slack. 32" inseam is a touch long but I can live with it (I wish they made a 30" inseam, would've been perfect)
  25. So they go straight up to 60m then veer left? Or does the BB gradually move along its path?
