So, a genuine advice has turned into a massive roast, gives me £700 swat loadout vibes!! For real though, try having a word with the site's staff, or play somewhere else.

Tis the final (hopefully) form of my carbine. Swapped the 6.5" handguard for a 5" ARP one. Had to turn down the TTI outer barrel because the G&G barrel nut is very narrow and didn't fit (you can see the bare aluminium "rings" where I removed material off the barrel). Also removed the EVO sights as they are too low to be comfortably used with a lower face mask. All I need now is a decent sling and maybe a tracer unit.

HPA bad Shooting hands bad Shooting guns bad What's next? Shooting you bad?

We all are, one way or another. To me it's a matter of actually using what I buy and right now, even though my gear collection is somewhat minimalist compared to some of you, I feel like I have reached my "limit" and won't be buying anything else until I sell some of the guns/gear I have, which won't happen anytime soon because I think I have found good setups and now, apart from a torch and holster for the Glock, every purchase will be just to maintain/slightly update the guns I have.
-
Hehe, know the feeling. It's the same for me, but regarding my TM Glock. All because I can't find a holster that fits a 6 seconds mount. But anyway, the AAP turns from okay to good with just a hop rubber swap, when you consider the cost of the pistol (sub €100) and rubber (say €15 including a spacer like a ML I-Key) it's a pretty good deal! Treat it carefully and it'll last a while. Then if you want maximum performance/reliability/cosmetics you will naturally spend a small fortune on it, but it's the same with Capas, Glocks and pretty much all Airsoft guns bar MTWs and Mk23s, but those are the exception because cost/design/technology. My pistol costs a lot, but I could have done without a fancy mamba upper, a CowCow hammer set, a TTI trigger, magwell and a dot, my carbine could have done without the expensive TTI carbine kit, charging handle+external selector, you get the idea. It does feel toyish, I'll give you that, but if you want "realism" then the AAP isn't for you

Any updates? I must have missed it, not a fan of microswitches because they are still mechanical parts subject to stress and breakages (not that optical/magnetic sensors won't break, but they don't have actual forced applied to them) but if it works well it could be a cheaper alternative to Peruns and Titans for those who can't afford these units!

I say stock is pretty efficient compared to the majority of GBBs (except TM, because fairy dust). I think you can tune the valve to make it more efficient (i.e. pump out only the gas needed to achieve the required energy output and cycle the bolt), a lightweight bolt might help but at the same time I'd be careful with going too lightweight or you may end up with cycling issues like our friend above, especially if you use stiff recoil springs. Afaik the CowCow nozzle is a bit shit, don't know about others (I don't even know if other nozzles exist!)

Buy a new gun, it's all I can tell you. Gearbox casing is proprietary, gears are proprietary, FCU is proprietary, all the standard parts (compression set, motor, bushings) are of abysmal quality. There is, imo, no need to own an Ares in 2023 when Cyma and Dboys (Specna/Evolution/Saigo) are a thing. But, if you're dead set on your Ares, I'd replace the stock aluminium bushings for proper steel ones, tappet plate, the whole compression set, motor and hop rubber. The barrel is decent, 6.03 aluminium does its job, hop unit could be better but on mine it was actually consistent. I've had the same gun for about 4 years and it kept shitting itself, every two weeks or so one part would randomly decide to commit sudoku and I've spent far too much money on it just to make it work.

While I wait for my new rig to arrive: - G&G ARP-9 handguard for the AAP (pics will follow); - Specna polymer upper receiver; - Random 128x32mm suppressor, building a lighter, more modern upper for my 933 specifically for tournaments (pics will follow)

Same site as the last time?

You may need an I-Key or similar. Both the Autobot and Decepticon rubbers will fit narrow windows, it's the MRs and other R-Hop shaped patches that won't.

These are all imperial threaded barrel nuts, made for real AR15s (and probably GBBs), when they were available on AliExpress you could choose an Airsoft spec (metric) barrel nut. Maybe they have it somewhere on the website.

A few things. For me: F9 Gear Ammo Hub in RG (thanks for making them available in Europe @TheFull9, won't be here before two weeks tho); Templar's Gear Harness in Ranger Green for my rifle belt; 2x WE valves for my AA glock mags; 3x Glock ranger plates, I keep breaking them -.- For friends: 2x WE Glock mag; 1x AAP charging ring; 1x TTI AAP Magwell; 2x WE valves; 1x Maple Leaf 60° Decepticon; 3x Glock ranger plates.

Nice bait. It's not the gun, it's the player, give a cunt an AEG/GBB/BA/£10 springer and he'll still be a cunt. Also you should look for other sites

First game of the year was a short, wet cqb session at the abandoned fort. 8 people, we played a few 4v4s with pistols, which gave me the chance to finally use my TTI AAP carbine. I definitely need higher sights as the Evo ones I bought for it are way, way too low. And maybe a torch.

I'd go shotgun shell because it's less cumbersome but you don't get as many rounds as with an M4 mag.

Co-operative play without having to buy the game twice. Is it possible?
Skara replied to sonofsammo's topic in Gaming
If you only play WZ/DMZ then you don't need to buy the game, unless you want to grind guns/attachments/camos/ranks beforehand. -

Isn't warzone free on consoles as well? -
Though I have sold a lot of stuff on Telegram groups, and got a few bargains in return (mostly from people who had no idea and no, I don't feel bad about it).

Good ole CTRG

Numbers are low these days, but we finally managed to have a day out shooting. I managed to "fix" my AK, when I plugged the battery in, though, the nozzle decided to leak like crazy which made the gun unusable.. So back to ol' reliable (KA PDW). Games went well, we had a few people who were trying out Airsoft for the first time and overall a fun, cold day. Also had the chance to share some of my teching knowledge with a couple of people, so hopefully they won't make silly purchases based on YouTube reviews

Difference between LCT, E&L and CYMA AKs74
Skara replied to devross's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
E&L has a very slight difference in quotes, but it's enough to make externals NOT compatible with LCT/Cyma and vice versa. I've had an E&L, nice gun but the receiver was slightly off spec and it caused the gearbox shell to break, so I just replaced the whole gun with a Cyma. Aesthetically though, they're fucking beautiful. TL;DR can't go wrong with Cyma (VFC clones), they're solid guns at decent prices. LCT and E&L have better quality externals but their QC isn't the best. LCT in particular is overpriced. -
Can't speak for the Revenger, but I have had their Predator pants (mk1) for about 6 years and they're still holding up fine, no major cuts or anything, no discoloration, just the stretchy parts around the knees that lost some of their elasticity.

It's still weak, maybe not as weak as the original black one, but not ideal for prolonged use. I've already seen a few shanked ones at my local retailer (the owners probably abused full auto from the get go)
