  1. I've got a 430mm one you can have for free. The problem is how to post it 😄 PM me your address
  2. I like Connery but I must be one of the few who likes Moore more 😆 I worked on the VFX for two Bonds, Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies.
  3. EDcase

    THE TM MWS thread

"The Gun Maker Carrying Out Extreme Sensitivity" 😆
  4. You can try to do everything yourself and worst case scenario if you can't get it back together or make it work then send the box of bits to a gun tech 😉😁 Would certainly be a good learning experience and may not be as difficult as you think. From my experience doing simple mods it just takes patience.
  5. I think TG do not accept UK orders at this time but Gunfire do. NOTE: Gunfire checkout says 'Including VAT' but they told me that it does NOT so you'll have to add VAT plus Duty plus extra post to that total
  6. Be careful with the stated VAT on the purchase page. I was going to make a purchase on Gunfire and basket stated "Including VAT" Luckily I asked them and they said VAT was NOT included so I guess they didn't update their website. So I would have been charged the extra 20% on entry to UK...
  7. What's up? I must have missed something. I blocked Sboardley because I don't want to get dragged down to some Facebook level argument. Since all the relevant posts were deleted by Jedi there is no record of the conversation and toxic abuse by Sboardley. He will have to deal with free speech or leave. This certainly has livened up the thread a bit. Enjoy everyone 😆
  8. In fact the only person who has been toxic is Sboardley. You're quite new here so you will learn... ...or go back to Facebook 🤣
  9. I just pointed out that 2 sites were selling for less that his quoted retail
  10. Overpriced as usual https://www.socomtactical.net/jg-sa58-fal-electric-blowback-aeg/
  11. Consignments valued at more than £135 Normal VAT and customs rules will apply on importation of the goods into Great Britain from outside the UK I guess this is why Gunfire will only take orders above £135
  12. Been doing a bit of digging and this is what I've come up with so far (I may be wrong of course) All this relates to Orders Totalling above £135 (Since Gunfire in particular require this for an order) You can look up the Trade Tariff Commodity Code relating to Airsoft here: https://www.gov.uk/trade-tariff The code I found most relevant was 9304 (Other arms (for example, spring, air or gas guns and pistols, truncheons))... This category brings up this info Consignments valued at more than £135 Normal VAT and customs rules will apply on importation of the goods into Great Britain from outside the UK From what I read HERE, the VAT can be applied at source by the seller in the originating country if they're registered to do so (which most European suppliers already are) Or they may charge local TAX (which is higher than UK) (I don't think this is common for Airsoft though) If not included in the sale then it will be applied by Customs upon entering the UK and passed on to the post service who will ask you for payment before delivering (plus a handling fee because they have to pay Customs) So the VAT situation doesn't seem to have altered as most retailers add VAT to UK orders anyway. Going by the info above, the new fee is the Duty at 2% of the order value. (Not sure if that includes delivery costs) I've emailed Gunfire for their calculation of fees but not holding my breath for a clear answer. ....its a bloody mess...
  13. Still confusing 🤣 Gunfire checkout says "VAT included" even above £135. I guess they haven't updated the website.
  14. So if buying from Gunfire for example... They add VAT for UK customers automatically. So if the value is above £135 (not including postage) then we still have to pay a customs handling fee?
  15. Duno if Bexit has affected imports from US
  16. Yep got the Gunfire email too. PayPal will also updated the rules for us from 1st Jan. (Haven't checked the details yet)
  17. OK, good response 👍 For any future sales there is a thread for Appraisals
  18. Its a MK43 and you can get em new for £430 Or modernised one for £365
  19. I'd say 'Excellent job on that' And I do like my things worn 😁
  20. As Impulse said, better to rent and get a feel for the game. This will help you decide what kind of kit you want to buy and with UKARA you'll be able to get a proper looking gat. Use this down time to read as much as you can. There are plenty of useful posts on this forum.
  21. That's very good to hear. Hopefully the days of swelling BBs are gone
  22. Looks like a good place. Unfortunately too far for me to go 😟
  23. After a bit of wear and an engraving service (I know the font isn't quite right but I'm happy with it) I also improved the hop so it shoots 0.25 quite well.
