  1. Thanks for the heads-up Druid. Yeah, I've been interested in this since it was announced but gona have to save up for it and will probably be a garden plinker and wall hanger rather than use in a battle. (Depending on performance of course) Hopefully Brexshit will be less of an issue by then or wait a bit longer for them to come into UK stock.
  2. Because you'll be losing them constantly. I don't see the point myself either but its an interesting concept so would be interested to see what you come up with #LancsSkirmisher85 I guess you could do a Cowboys vs Indians game but we know how that would end...
  3. Ooops. Details details 😆 I just saw MP7 and remembered seeing one 🙄
  4. Here you go in case you haven't seen:
  5. Sorry to hear that mate. Maybe keep an eye on classifieds to get a better bargain but make sure it isn't in Macks 😉 I'm lucky that I don't want anything else for a while
  6. From what I understand its a 'Perfect Storm' or 'Double Whamy' Covid has affected production in the East (and still is) PLUS The Brexit shit show has essentially cut us off from stock in Europe. So we'll have to wait for the UK suppliers to get their orders direct from Asia once production catches up with demand. Don't expect any bargain prices except on old stock stuff.
  7. Duno the site but may as well take it and see if you can talk to someone there. Based on the sites I know they wouldn't have a problem with that.
  8. The notch or sear catch is worn or some problem lining up with new trigger box. You'll need to disassemble to see which it is and perhaps order new part.
  9. No, the 'Activity' button isn't showing a list of the latest posts. Edit: Works now 😃
  10. Duno if you'll get a reply from Nathan as its 2 years old. You could wire in to the trigger contacts.
  11. I'd recommend a mesh lower. One which protects ears too. Much easier to breath and help reduce fogging.
  12. Welcome Truccka Its definitely a good hobby to share with the 'kids' (mine's 16 now) As Lozart said, there are several reliable makes to get started on. As well as G&G I'd suggest to look at SpecnaArms 'Edge', CYMA and JG (JingGong) Sorry, no experience with Dye i4 but suggest to get some 'CatCrap' (yes terrible name). It does help and you can use it on the rented mask in the meantime. Helmets are not a must but as well as holding a camera they can save you from a nasty bump if you fall. Especially if running a lot.
  13. Don't worry mate. Internet stuff can be a nightmare to resolve and you're providing a free service to us so no one can complain. Thanks for all the fish... I mean dedication 😁
  14. Not quite the old British stompers. Mine are very similar to these US jungle boots. Comfy but I got a bit of a blister at the back of the heel. I'll eventually get em worn in even if it kills me 😆
  15. Yeah, welcome Roberto. Hope you like it here. (Has its ups and downs) Sounds like you have the right idea regarding the 'toys' but it should be possible to bring them if they conform to the UK power level of 1.3 Joules As HomelessSnail said, bringing your gear shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't have any real weapon accessories. Might have to look into it a bit more if you do.
  16. Yeah, looks nasty. Hope you recover soon. My right ankle is quite weak after spraining it badly a couple of times. Good old army surplus for me. Blisters and all 🙄
  17. I can believe there'd be a slight difference for HPA but would be good to have a video comparing with and without. Yeah, having an inner barrel will have more effect on the BB but no effect on sound 😉
  18. From the videos I've seen, airsoft silencers/suppressors don't do anything except look the part. Real weapons have high velocity gas to get rid of but airsoft vented gas makes no noise as it exits anyway.
  19. Yeah, you don't need one but can add one later on. Note that the in-line MOSFETS don't protect the trigger contacts but will protect the battery from being drained too far
  20. Oh yes, I was going to say that too. Less strain on motor and gears. Win win (Cutting down the spring would be the next option. Cheaper but not as easy)
  21. Simple MOSFETS prevent arcing on the trigger contacts which will make them last longer. You can also get programable units to control fire rate and various bursts. I'd advise a MOSFET for 11.1v but for 7.4v LiPos you don't need to use one to protect the trigger contacts as there is minimal arcing and it would take a long time to get any damage to the contacts.
  22. Changing the spring would be easiest.
  23. Basically at that power it becomes an illegal firearm. Certainly won't be able to use in a game.
  24. I can imagine gangs will relish the idea of having a deadly weapon they can dump onto a kid after killing a rival. It gives way more work for the police who have to check every Lego or Nerf gun they come across.
  25. I've often switched to GBB pistol in woodland games while defending a position/building. Taking out approaching enemy while popping out of cover is much easier with a pistol.
