  1. In that case you know what to expect and that's good. Its certainly possible to play with a GBBR but some may be upset by the challenge. GBBRs are easier to disassemble but I think they need more care than an AEG. I would strip, clean and re-grease a GBBR and mags after a game day but an AEG I would just make sure the spring is unbound, unload the mags and put the batteries away.

    Gbb Issues

Does it keep shooting without the BBs coming out or does it run out of gas pressure after a couple of shots? Would be ideal if you can make a video of the process of filling the mag and shooting it.

Are you filling properly with the gas can pointing down?
  4. The only reason I can think to increase fps is to make the BBs fly faster so there is less time for the target to dodge the incoming shots. But I don't know if its worth it when the gun shoots well as it is
  5. For skirmishing AEG's are more practical in my mind because most others are using them and as such the majority of your opponents will be shooting at you with lots of ammo and no cooldown effects. This means most people spray in short or long bursts and only a few use single shots. Some do play with GBBRs so its up to you depending on your play style. I just think it would get too frustrating to go against that kind of firepower. (Especially when it can take a few hits to get people out) With GBBR's you'll be mainly using single shot and be weighed down by 6 or more heavy magazines. If there was a regular GBB only game near me then I'd convert straight away. Even though WE's are the cheaper end of GBBRs I think the parts will last a decent amount of time before breaking or wearing if they're well looked after. If you can carry more than one rifle to a game day you could play with the L85 GBB and then switch to AEG when you feel like it.
  6. I have a WE M16A1 but not used in a game as I don't have enough magazines. With more mags it would be fine for skirmishing. (I don't bother because I still think AEG's are more practical to skirmish with) WE may not be the best GBBRs out of the box for quality or longevity but mine has worked flawlessly and when parts do break or wear out there are many spares and after market parts available at reasonable prices. (Parts are scarce now because of Covid) So yeah, I would recommend em.
  7. Good summing up and useful video Speedbird I always charge at less than 1C since I'm not in a hurry the day before a game. As mentioned in the video, charging at 1C is usually the maximum rate you can charge a battery but it will be kinder to it if you charge a bit lower.
  8. Welcome If you wear glasses underneath its ok to use mesh goggles.
  9. Co2 (around 900psi) is much higher pressure than even Red gas. So the exit valve of a Co2 mag has to be much more robust and should control the output to rough working pressure of the rifle but will often be at the high end. So rifle parts will take more of a beating. Even though their output is usually consistent until they are empty, there are a couple of big arguments against Co2. 1) If you have a leak you will use a whole bulb ever time to test if its fixed and if not then its wasted. 2) You cannot top up at the start of a game. So you either have to waste what's left to put in a new bulb or risk running out mid-game. (You can of course refill mid-game but its not so convenient)
  10. I like looking at my wall and thinking... 'Oh, I didn't remember I had one of those' 😄 Old age helps 👍
  11. Duno about labelling them tho 😄 Is that so you remember what you've got and where they go? 😉
  12. Yeah, I wonder how difficult the forms are to fill out and process. That's really the only hard part about bringing a vanload back.
  13. Yeah, You might be there explaining for a long time if the inspector has no idea of airsoft
  14. I wonder what would happen if customs pull you over for random inspection with a load of rifs? I guess if you have a UKARA/site membership card you'd be OK but would they demand receipts and a tax payment?
  15. Welcome. It is fun to play a game and plenty of exercise too 😉 You will end up spending quite a bit more of course 😄
  16. At the bottom of the advert window should be a button 'Advert Actions'
  17. The UK plug is out of stock but if you're happy to change the plug then you can get this one
  18. While that is a good charger, I think it may be a bit extreme. Anything SkyRC would be good like this one (LiPo only) Personally I like my SkyRC B6AC which does LiPo, NiMh and more (Must be a genuine one) Have a read through this thread. Don't buy anything for less than £10
  19. As I understand it, this is to show friendly team members, waypoints and orders etc. I can't see any reason why you would have enemy shown.
  20. Interesting idea. My first thought is I'd need some kind of protection for my phone. I guess a sleeve pouch with hard plastic window but then touch would not work. Followed by the golden question: Roughly how much would your system cost per unit?
  21. Yep, definitely use headband version 👍
  22. OK, the Bolle Trackers would be a good option then.
  23. Yes, there are two factors to it as you say. My point is I'd rather get good quality goggles than very expensive shooting glasses that are not designed for airsoft. I've been hit in the goggles a few times without a mark on the lens. If you get hit in the goolies that's a different matter The ones I would avoid are the cheapies on eBay
