  1. I'm looking at repairing a CA M16 and an old Japanese record deck. I ought to get a decent crimp tool, instead of bodging connections with pliers and solder. I need to go down to 0.25mm wiring I believe. Any recommendations?
  2. Bit late to comment, but the G&G shoots extremely well out of the box. mine performed brilliantly for at least an hour... The Perun is a must for the G&G, but it is easy to fit. Given that all L85s need work anyway, I would go for a used one in hindsight.
  3. The difference between a rectal thermometer and an oral thermometer is the taste.
  4. Having pulled apart a shorting CA M16 last night, and seen the shit state of the low gauge wiring, I salute you sir. No use having decent components linked by crap wires!
  5. I pulled a nose hair out today, to see if it hurts as much as people say it does. Judging by the way the man beside me on the bus reacted, it really does.
  6. Going off for Vietnam themed silliness again this weekend.

Still picking the thorns out of my knees after the last game.

Still haven't got round to getting a cheap set of gel filled kneepads.

I have bought two slabs of ale and a bottle of Stoly though.

Playwell martial arts shop online.   I use them for kung fu too.  A decent set lasts well.

Have you got a link for the ones you use? I'm trying to get a fairly accurate kit.

  7. This one the added je ne sais qais, the frisson of excitement in not knowing if it ever worked from the factory. I mean, never fired! Imagine the adrenaline of plugging the first battery into its virgin terminals. Priceless!
  8. According to this book I read, the Mongol Empire was established one steppe at a time!
  9. At Gunman briefings, sub-350 bolt action users have to identify themselves to everyone. I've never had or seen a problem there.
  10. If a new rif shows signs of being badly shimmed, I'd take it straight back, especially a common type of M4. My G&G M4 has never needed* to be taken apart, although it was my first rif and it's always been the most used. *ZCI Plastic rotary hop, forgotten brand barrel, and ML hop + rubber.
  11. A woman purchases a parrot for only £5. “Well, I must confess, it was brought up in a brothel,” says the shopkeeper. “And, to put it politely, it has quite an extensive vocabulary.” “Never mind,” says the woman. “At that price, I’ll take it.” So she takes the parrot home, puts its cage in the living room and takes the cover off. “New place – very nice,” says the parrot. Then the woman’s two daughters walk in. “New place, new girls – very nice,” says the parrot. Then the woman’s husband walks in, and the parrot says, “Oh hello, Keith!”
  12. What @Skarasaid. If the motor spins OK it's your air seal. There are a plethora of nozzles etc available. As a comment on airsoft aegs, just look at the spring in the above photo's. Sloppy as fuck with a loose guide and a mean twist on the fifth to fourth coil. Efficiency is not designed into this at all. No offence to the OP, hope you fix your rif.
  13. In medieval times, people used to attach a lamp to a horse when riding at night. This is the earliest known form of saddle light navigation.
  14. The tools were late being delivered onsite today. It took the boss three hours to get them to us! For three hours we had to lean on each other instead!
  15. Given the shit spares situation, it's not as though you're worse off with rare models parts wise either.
  16. Two years of Covid and some chap called Depp gets Heard immunity at last.
  17. I thought you'd got pissed and mashed the keyboard lol. 😂 Turns out my brain had quit for the evening... Anyhow... My doctor told me to take up an activity that gets me out of the pub. So I've started smoking.
  18. I have done Milsims. All of the above is true. the enjoyment form a well organised event is excellent. It's best to have your own gear, but tbh, you can get inventive and take minimal stuff. Your loadout needs to be 90% OK. RIFs are the bit we sometimes cheat on a bit. Age etc is down to the organiser. I've taken lads who are too young for the advertised age, but who are known onsite as decent players. My advice is pick a game. You can ask advice on here which games are decent. Than call the organiser. Don't text or email, just call and have a chat and sort things out re: kit/loadout/age etc. If you really want to do Milsim and you've got the right attitude you'll be fine. If you are a new player check out filmsim and perhaps try that first. You'll get a feel for the camping gear side and loadout without the full on milsim pressure.
  19. I found an old Hawke scope in the cupboard today. I think that I took it off a rifle when I upgraded my competition airguns to Hawke Panoramas in 2012. It's the old IR control on the eyebell model. I know that these had good glass in the Night Eye models, but I think that this is a cheaper Sport. It's in OK nick, with just a few marks on the caps and some residue from the mount's tape. Would £30 all in be OK? I reckon it's got to be worth £25. These were £50+ 15+ years ago. The modern Vantage range Hawkes are crap in comparison. A Vantage in the same spec is £100 at Uttings.
  20. One has to be careful these days. You can have monkeypox and not know that you are a carrier. You may be achimptomatic.
  21. Our legendary General Mhyk if memory serves. We missed your gas powered 'fut, fut, fut.' Hope you don't have a clash with the Gaelic football. We have imperialists to slaughter.
  22. Sad news from the Nestle factory today. A worker was crushed at the warehouse. His cries for help were ignored. Each time he shouted, 'The Milky Bars are on me,' everyone just cheered.
  23. Your absence was noted at Diggers. See you both on the 10th. I'll be donning black pjs and AK one day, PAVN and support weapon the other. Du ban GI!
  24. Double Eagle have become a decent choice form what I've heard, gun wise. Biggest change is the end of all the cheap stuff that we used to get from Taiwan Gun. Importing stuff has become hit and miss tbh.
