  1. Vehicles and night vision are good fun used well too. I think that the best but worst used tech is the humble radio. Good coms discipline is golden. As you say@truckinthumper, if it adds to the fun then it's good. I laughed like a fool when someone located me in the pitch dark and got a knife kill. Tech plus skill is nice to experience; even as the loser!
  2. I have played with a team member who uses a drone. It was useful to see where to lob 'nades. Tech etc can add to the fun of playing but only if used with imagination. As a pure gimmick it is no good at all.
  3. Went to an abstract gallery today. What a load of Pollocks...
  4. I rarely wear anything but mesh, but I did try a pair of Dickies amber lensed dual pane goggles a few games ago. Light as specs and minimal fog.
  5. Indeed. A group effort, a veritable orgy of fluid theft. The filthy swine.
  6. I don't take anything in the newspaper seriously, except for fish and chips. And even that I take with a pinch of salt.
  7. Ever watched this? It's brilliant.
  8. I take a gallon of water with me to leave at respawn. The last two games, lazy fuckers have drunk the lot. I don't mind helping a man out, but leaving me dry is taking the piss, especially mid-viral borne pandemic. I had more in the van, but next game I'm spitting in the bastard loudly and demonstrably before game on... Figure a litre plus an hour in this and you'll be fine if you know the signs of heatstroke to watch out for.
  9. Gunman Namsoft at Alpha 2019(?)
  10. I snore so loudly that I scare the passengers in my car apparently.
  11. 'Women are such gossips,' said Uncle Bob, 'they're always telling the police about your sex life.'
  12. I had a Viper sling snap at the buckle after a BB hit. Generic AK slings are the go to now.
  13. What has more brains than Kurt Kobain? The wall behind him.
  14. £40 a decade ago for my 2nd hand Ledray. £12 for the ultra reliable Chinese red led cheapy that I bought last year. Reading this I think that I got lucky!
  15. I have a Ledray 6 that's ancient and still pretty amazing. Bought it from a mate who used it mounted on his foxing rifle. It is bloody tough.
  16. Best: G&G CM16. Light, reliable and cheap back when I bought it. ~Also my homemade PLCE yoke and battlebelt rig. Super comfy and absolutely minimalist. It's evolved over the years. Worst: The crap M4 and almost as crap shotgun that I bought from JustBBguns. Wish I'd found the forum sooner...
  17. I asked if the coffin would be open at Aunt Hilda's funeral. Remains to be seen apparently.
  18. Cheers mate, always good to offer pro advice. I do have some wire strippers already. They are a cheapo set but work fine for the little that I use them. I actually used them a fair bit this week putting up security lighting. I felt I'd done well, but looking at @Dan Robinson's work, I have a bit to go on piping smoke around malarkey.
  19. I taught my daughter to shoot with irons. At 14 she beat the then junior champion HFT number one in a shootout. She could hardly miss with an optic. Muscle memory, consistent cheek weld/mount and experience win each time.
  20. What do RS users use for running/hiding/slinking game in forests? Usually a 1-4x20 scope with simple illuminated reticle. Use it both eyes open and practise your mount. Set to a low magnification, it will improve your spotting and hitting in deep cover with practice. Fieldcraft is still king though. Where would you appear if you were the opposing team? Look there and look for horizontal lines. Nature goes up, humans hold rifs horizontally.
  21. Two women called me a sexist pig when I gave a wolf whistle. They didn't even apologize when my pet wolf ran up to me.
