    Hey guys!

after speaking to the bank for what felt like 2 hours.. I have finally got my money back told them everything the address his family the box he sent a picture of, the rug he used to take the pictures.. everything. They put the money in in seconds. On another not as well I said paid threw f&f but in fact it came straight out of my account so I think I got a bit lucky 🍀.. they handled it perfectly. The guy Tom who delt with the call couldn’t of been nicer about things really couldn’t. The police phoned me this morning regarding the issue and I still want to take things further.. he still has the other buyers money Stephen Joyce as he paid threw f&f I’m not letting him scam another bloke who is looking for something again. Named and shamed! I’m going to phone all the sites he goes to to get him banned. Until Stephen gets his money back it’s not over yet.

Also I just want to say a massive thank you to the people who helped me deal with this.. salt of the earth kind of people. I really do appreciate all the looking up, the searches everything. I felt so alone and didn’t have a clue what to do.. but use guys made it right. I’m really grateful for that.  If anyone is around the Edinburgh area in the next couple of weeks for a game of Airsoft at my local I would love that 👌

    cheers again

IIRC (and I may not) didn't he proudly claim that he'd taken headshots against some players who offended him by talking to each other while dead?

As in, he deliberately headshot already dead players to punish them for not standing there silently.

Quite how he heard what they were saying from outside of a 30m MED escapes me, but I'm sure his Super Sonic Sniper Hearing managed to determine from that range that they were talking about in-game things rather than just chatting.

Now having watched what is probably the offending video .....

The start seems to show him having to be told he had been hit.  That kind of screws the subject of his “cheaters” video from the outset (and it’s later shown in detail)

When asked how many BBs are in the drum mag - “unlimited”
Initial opinion is reinforced - Dick

Then when he gets straight into his - one shot that gets ignored to the second in the face ...... he has a rant about needing to expect headshots, and that safety is personal responsibility.  Both correct, but he’s blatantly ignored his personal responsibility by either not reading the site disclaimer or has read it and chosen to disregard it

(I’m going to give him a slight benefit of the doubt that he didn’t hear the conversation during the game with the marshal about illegal headshots, and the cocky comment later ..... he of course was not deliberately ignoring the rule?????)

There are also other reasons that may exist for rules that are either against headshots, or don’t count headshots - eg if you have full face protection but don’t count headshots then that’s usually for rental players to prevent blind firing

Is he seriously commenting about a ‘small girl’ with a Desert Eagle, whilst carrying his sniper, pistol and SMG???But is that all fine because he’s a big strong man

    Ooh Facebook dramas.
There is a point from both sides:

Full face protection - I’m in agreement with that.  But there is no airsoft standard that requires full face protection for all players

Restriction on deliberate headshots - I’m also in agreement with the site for having a policy to reduce the risk associated with just eye protection.
Though disclaimers don’t sign away players rights to a safe environment, it shows a mitigation in place against a risk, and players should be reading what they are signing.

Shooting cheats in the head: No matter how special someone thinks they are, unless they are site staff then they are not the ‘cheat police’

There may be a bit of both, google around for photos of ‘operation nimrod’ and there are shots of both solid stock and sliding stock.
There are of course mixture of genuine pictures on the day of entry, ‘official’ posing, and re-creations / films etc, so don’t assume things are always what they seem

You'll probably find if you end up causing enough of an issue that the police are involved (i.e you hold up the local Lidl) you'll get fucked with the full force of the Firearms act and they'll try and pin a section 5 offence on you (and rightly so) which doesn't really help my 'toy' case, but that's just due to the way that they look and the fear they'll cause your nan.

    It wasn’t overlooked

There are many different kinds of ‘firearms’ under the legislation, some require licenses and some don’t.
e.g. Low powered air weapons (air guns) are firearms, and (for most of the UK) don’t require a firearms certificate
Airsoft would sit there as part of the firearms legislation but I have a quote below which removes airsoft from that legislation (provided it meets the criteria)
The VCRA is a separate piece of legislation which covers Imitation Firearms
Under the VCRA there are IFs and RIFs.  RIFs require a Defence under the act

We have a detailed discussion on legislation here, and one of my posts quotes section 57A:

    Exception for airsoft guns
(1)An “airsoft gun” is not to be regarded as a firearm for the purposes of this Act.

It is not ‘special circumstances’ for the police dog handler requiring a letter, it is catered for within the VCRA:

The purposes of functions that a person has in his capacity as a person in the service of Her Majesty.

To gain your firearms certificate you were required to justify your need for a firearm or firearms.  I’m fairly certain that you didn’t include shooting people in that application

Off the top of my head I’m going to guess it’s a 50mm buckle, unless from the manufacturer etc then I’d say to use a local fabric shop / habidashery or if you’re willing to do some sewing yourself then online

    Something like this:
    https://www.profabrics.co.uk/products/side-release-buckle-50mm
Then either double siding a bit of wide 50mm Velcro or strip of webbing strap

They may not stock the size & colour you want but it’s always worth taking the holster into your local fabric shop and they’ll either be able to order in and do a bit of sewing for you or refer you to a handy seamstress

I am fond of a bit of camping, you can’t beat sitting in a field with good company

I’ve more of a Boys Brigade background than scouts, but did help out at Cubs weekends a couple of times
I’m a bad influence, telling Cubs that ‘being prepared’ means not needing to rub sticks nor having perfectly aligned pegs etc.  But I had a good bunch of lads and they were able to come up with all the ‘official ways’ they were meant to do things, while I was able to give them the wisdom of acquiring the official skills but recognise that expending the energy isn’t always the right thing.
You can’t count on finding the right two complimentary types of wood, kindling and good fire wood...... and to do so whilst expending more energy than you get back from the food you eventually cook!

..... actually, I was once at a training day & photographing prior to heading off camping

I got a little peckish, went round to the shop but  there was only chocolates and I was too early for lunch

Quick brainwave, out with the stove and jet boil and within minutes I was dining

Sometimes on long tourneys we may have to defend an objective for a long time, that's the perfect time to have something warm to eat after a whole day out in the cold/rain..
Also I love camping and hiking (I'm a scout chief) so that's another money pit (knives, clothes, tarps, hammocks and such)..

    No wonder I'm always broke

The whole thing is an adaptor or a riser mount (depending on the type of rails)

They are part of a rail system
The top is the male end of the rail mount
The bottom is the female end of the rail mount, and features the clamping system

They could be the same type of rail system on top/bottom or they could be different rail systems

Are you asking what it is (as in the female end/clamp) or what type of rail system - eg Weaver/picatinny/dove tail etc
