  5. All ready for this weekend; ready to ambush some GIs with their own gear! Been going down the LBE rabbit hole, watching god knows how many youtube videos and reading a bunch of real steel shooting articles to make sure my setup is as good as it can be and has everything I need. 8 rifle mags (stubby m16 mags or kar98k mags), 4 spare pistol mags, 1911, knife, and a WW2 camo scarf and a bunch of scrim netting in the butt pack for sneaky sniper shenanigans, plus two canteens for water for sustainment. It's also pretty well balanced, with the right side only being slightly heavier than the left because my Bell 1911 is heavier than the rubber knife, though if I use one of my TM 1911s the weight difference is negligible (but I'll be using the Bell 1911 because it's incredibly fun to shoot) I also only just learned that I need to wear my LBE a little bit higher than my waist-line, so... yeah. Learning!

I don't care what happens to muppets who fall foul of their stupid decisions. What concerns me are the repercussions on airsoft. As we all know the government is struggling with catastrophic policies and an increasingly volatile society so they'll jump on any chance to pretend they're cracking down on 'dangerous radical groups'. We could easily go the way of Australia...

  8. That's the problem, wth the chinese knock offs it's a lottery whether they'll be the right size or not. If you're dead set on qd mounts then you're better off spending a bit more on better quality ones but bear in mind there's the chance that it could be the qd slot on the rif that's the problem (not likely but still a possibility). Like Mr Puceflange above, I prefer the HK style sling hook ascites feels far more secure

  9. Depends on what you class as expensive? Maybe £30 on a R/S qc sling point, vs the possible damage and repairs that could possibly result in a replica hitting the ground. Personally, I prefer a loop style sling point and use an HK style attachment Just as fast, and I trust it more to support the £100 (how much I told my mrs it cost) gbbr replicas 😉🤫

  10. It's a dumb teenager who's probably spent too much time online to like, understand how that's perceived out in the real world. It's something I keep telling new Airsofters when they go home in full tactical clobber and guns barely concealed in bags, (sometimes not concealed at all). People will notice. It takes one concerned caller saying the magical word "I think it's a gun" anywhere near a major public place, and then every bobby available will be on hand to feed you the pavement.

  12. I've been hit there are few times, but to be fair when its as big as mine, that was always gonna happen😜 Yeah, its not pleasant, but neither is taking an up close burst up the inside of your thigh, or across your lower back/kidneys. Unless your planning on doing the whole bomb suit & minigun loadout, surely finding a balance of kit that doesn't restrict you, cause heatstroke or discomfort, & generally affects your ability to play is paramount, offset by the rare chance of a stray bb to the 🌭. Sports cup, or maybe a dangler pouch worn low should do the job ?

  17. That's exactly what I thought as well. Seems very unlikely that the slide would be forced back in the box when it was secure in the foam. Offered for him to return it and I'll refund if it was a genuine breakage but it seems very unlikely that it was a damage caused by Parcelforce - I've shipped plenty of things out (Mostly to you Gav 😂) and they've never arrived damaged, in fact this is the first time in over 70 sales roughly (Both accounts combined) where something has gotten broken.

  18. I took a nut shot but I found wearing a sports cup was much worse as it dug into my thighs and groin. I make do with a dangler pouch at the bottom of my plate carrier. I agree with Tommikka about going baggy if you can. Unfortunately with my proportions, there's no such thing as baggy for me without getting it tailored.

  21. Hi all, been a few years since I made a post. Just thought I'd share my build of the HMLMG from the video game Rust. I think its one of the coolest looking craftable guns from the game, and since seeing it I've always wanted to have an working airsoft version of it. HMLMG stands for HandMade LMG, hence why I thought it would be possible to actually do this project with the limited tools & materials I had. One of the things I didn't want to do for this was to damage the base gun, so attaching this HMLMG "case" to the base gun was a bit of a challenge, but in the end everything is removeable and the base gun underneath can be extracted completely unharmed. The build: -Base gun is a G&G Firehawk (DSG version), chosen for high RoF but also the loud sound that the Firehawk makes. -Box mag from the G&G CM16 platform, perfect shape and positioning compared to the source material (but yes it also takes just regular M4 mags). -Aluminium sheets for main structure (easy to shape without needing machinery, still relatively durable). -M3 nuts & bolts to hold most parts together. -Bit of fence from garden for stock. I used aluminium sheets for the main "case" of the gun which just goes over the base gun, cut to shape and held in place using nuts & bolts. The main barrel is made of aluminium pipes except for the giant hex nut which is steel, and the buffer tube on the rear of the gun is attached by long bolts to a u-shaped aluminium piece. Its all mainly held on by the bolts on the buffer tube, and by a very long extended outer barrel which runs right to the end of the aluminium pipe, which is then held on by a 14mm CCW piece which is perfect for securing the whole thing to the base gun. Everything was made at home using a hacksaw, scissors, screwdrivers, & aluminium tape, except for the holes on the heat shield & the buffer tube/outer stock which were done at the local men's shed. To access the fire selector I had to make a lever, but it is removable so doesn't get in the way in skirmishes. The mag release is still accessible as the underside of the HMLMG casing isn't filled in and I can just reach my finger up there. The Firehawk's external bits were removed, including charging handle, and the dust cover stays open, so hop-up is accessible by opening the top cover. The weight (without BBs in mag) is 3.3kg, roughly the size of an M249. I mostly tried to keep as accurate to the HMLMG in Rust as I could, but I had to compromise on the front grip as it seems too tedious to attach. The charge handle being a brass knob for a drawer also seems out of place as I want to leave the gun as full black for now at least. Modifications: -Due to the extreme upgrade in outer barrel length, I had to replace the inner barrel using a spare sniper barrel from a M40A3, which then caused the hop-up to need changing to a Mapleleaf 70. On the first skirmish I couldn't find the hop-up sweet spot, so replaced the unit with a rotary hop unit from Retro Arms. -The magazine was rewired to a button that sits on the heat shield as the original feed method was non-ideal. Performance: The gun is largely stock as it was brand new and I mainly did this just for the "look", and the DSG Firehawk's base performance is great from the first few weeks of using it. I'm running it on a 7.4v LiPo, it does around 1.07 joules (340 FPS on 0.2) at 29 RPS, so far found it to have good range and accuracy using 0.28g BBs. Magazine also feeds with 0 issues. Since the gun absolutely vomits BBs I'm changing to 0.25s in the next game just to lower the costs slightly... In the future I may upgrade its performance maybe for 11.1v batteries, but for now I don't see any need. Definitely a bit of a crude construction, but hey it looks the part, is sturdy, and most importantly it shoots like a beast.

  22. Good evening all, I have been looking at slings etc.The idea being that if a CQB situation occurs, i can hang the rifle and draw my sidearm as I have a SA LVOA an its fairly long. Got myself a viper 2 point sling and I then got some sling points from Amazon, these ones: Amazon tat They arrived and seemed solid, i inserted them and tested them out. To my horror, one of them disconnected itself; luckily, I managed to grab the foregrip and save the rifle. I investigated further, and a weak tug on these popped them out incredibly easy Does anyone know of any relaible QD points I can get I do have a video it it popping out really easy. Is this just a poor QD point or are the slots on my gun faulty? 20250831_234903 (1).mp4

Chinese clone of Ashbury ASW338LM. Looks the business with carbon fiber effect forend, big, boxy mag and fully adjustable folding stock, so verifiable VCRA defense eg UKARA required. (Please send this upfront as I won't take the risk of selling without it). However the rails and forend are all ABS plastic, and it has problems - first it is slamfiring to the extent it fires before the bolt is even closed 9 times out of 10. Secondly even if you get past the slamfiring it misfeeds more often than not. Since I can't face undoing the 2 dozen odd screws and bolts to get into it to clear out broken bits of BB and change the Sear (VSR type IIRC), I am selling it on as a project for those who love sniper rifles as it is, ie Faulty. So. £58 including P&P sound reasonable? UK only and Paypal only.

Hi guys seriously addictive this air soft isn't it. Another rabbit hole im sinking into lol. Got my first pistol and Aeg and despite being technically all id need I do fancy a shotgun. The below has caught my eye as its nice and short and seems reasonably priced. Anyone got experience of them at all ? https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/golden-eagle-m870-breacher-tri-shot-gas-pump-action-shotgun

  30. Of course I would rather spend £30 on a qd point than drop a replica however if you want a two point sling you’re looking at (just an example) £30 for the rail attached qd point, another £35 if you want a QD rear sling plate or another £50+ for a legit stock with QD point. If you’re using a £150 Aeg, spending £80 odd on a way to secure a sling I would consider to be expensive however if you’re putting those same parts onto a £800 GBBR then of course it’s more justified imo

  35. You could consider the classifieds as a 'Dutch Auction'... market prices set the base line & the seller adjusts/lowers the price until they find a buyer. in theory only greedy sellers will lose out. Consider Macks as the airsoft moral compass.

  36. Unsure if this is a contender (i hope so this is now my favorite thread lol) https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/electric-powered/airsoft-m4_i86199 £250 for an unknown M4 with unknown attachments and internals and looks like its been chucked around the field almost of its life Oh we have some more magical electrical tape on the butt rest, £10 fix tho... and the down the barrel pic.. almost made me buy there and then...

  37. Even if it was possible, No, definitely not, as they are the classifieds are as straightforward as they can be, while your reasons are clear due to the nature & circumstances of what you're selling, that would encourage some greedy sellers to push for a bigger payday on maybe rarer items etc, & if they didnt get the windfall they hoped for, who's gonna force them to ship the items ? it's a free forum with free classifieds, the mod team are all volunteers & we have enough work keeping the scammers out & keeping some semblance of order amongst the rest of you reprobates 😜

  40. Almost 15, and yep I insist he wears a full face mask no matter what. No mesh or anything else. He has been shooting for almost ten years. We both shot full auto live fire in Krakow, Poland this year, and he has great discipline and common sense. He gets that from his mum of course. Hope I'm allowed to post that picture, I can remove it if not? He chose that one, I went for luger, 1911, uzi, AK, Tommy, and all the ones ive seen in the movies. Expensive but worth every penny. I shot 15 different ones, him 13. Made our holiday, can't wait to go back. Wife is Polish, so will go back again soon. Found out about Taiwangun, so have another reason to visit now

  41. I run a couple of grab bags (1 black, 1 OD), not the issue type, small bucket bags with molle on both sides & the ends, larger taco's on one side, smg taco's on the other, twin pistol on one end & twin 40mm on the other (which handily takes a bfg & small gas reservoir can). Main compartment takes nalgene water, chocky, spare goggs & battery, what more do you need ?. Perfect 👌 (Obviously I own about a million other rigs that invariably never get used lol) 😱

I have a few shotguns in my collection, 15 in all 😁, all spring powered. Not had any issues with them. Each type has their own strengths and weaknesses. Gas, less strength needed to pump, sound great when you rack, a little more power, but gas usage means you do have to be wary of your shots and do require (as any gas RiF) up keep to keep them in good working order. Springers, a good arm work out and you’ll feel it the next day but no worries about worrying how much you have left in the tank and will just keep going. As the previous commenter, I would also personally recommend the Cyma range of shotguns as build quality is good and always good fun. I have a number of their full metal ones and a couple of polymer builds for variety and love them. Obviously the polymer builds are also cheaper than the full metal one to. I also have a couple from the Double Eagle brand with there textured rubber grips and they have also never let me down and are good fun. The majority all have the tri shot barrels to as a shotgun should spread! I’ve also got some S&T shotguns which are full metal with real wood which are beautiful to look at and hold but they are only single shot and can have a little more range if that’s what you are wanting. My opinion with shotguns is that they are best for close quarters, room clearing etc and are not designed for reaching distance. So you have to adapt your gameplay for them which can be fun! Buy I would definitely start with a springer, get the feel for it and if you enjoy it then look to upgrade down the line!

  43. There's bound to be stuff in each box to interest people, my suggestion would be to split the boxes up into smaller bundles by type (AK, AR etc) as you've already done & be realistic with your pricing. Try and display each bundle in the pics so the items are easily seen by buyers, you'll prob get messages for bit's n bob's so be prepared to sell off individual items & recalculate your price as things sell. Is there anyone you can rely on to take bundles to game days to sell? a captive audience of airsofters are more likely to offer £10 here & £10 there just to get one item out of a smaller bundle. Good luck.

  44. Good luck with the upgrade, but please, please, please don't change the externals, finding a Stoner 63 without picatinni rails is rare (in my experience). Better still... Take the easy way out and sell it to me before you spend money on it.😉
