I think we can all agree that no matter what you think of glocks, at least they don't look like this

  6. Looks like genuine PLA issue one, but you can buy those on ebay for as little as £88 + shipping, as there are hundreds of thousands of them made.

WE Scar H V3 GBB arrived today, just spent the last 2.5 hours putting the PTS KDG MREX 4.25" handguard on it, as it requires careful modification to fit the WE.

    Need help with ARP9

The best option would be to take it to a reputable tech near you or find someone trust worthy (and who knows what they're doing) and let them have a run at it. Some, if not most, techs will let you post your gun to them if you don't want to travel. The ARP9 is a good gun, i'd suggest getting it fixed rather than selling it. If you bought it online using paypal G&S, you could try pushing for a refund from the seller as it's not functional and I assume it was advertised as working.

  16. I bought this barely used Well Pro WE06 PPK-20 and five mags for a very decent price. All I have done so far is change the very basic mosfet for an AB++, fit a Macaron and omega nub, and fit an SHS high torque motor. It is very snappy and runs nicely on 11.1v.

  23. Tons still in armouries, still used, but fallen out of favour I'd say for sure. I had a search out of my own curiosity, and most pics of A3s don't have them, especially with infantry blokes - who are amongst the small portion of the forces using the L85 but also given some element of leeway in configuring it. In the pics where the grip-pods are mounted, I personally reckon it's mostly because the person was told they had to have it - which I'd say is most UK service people when using TES A2s. Foregrips in general don't always get along with AKs, which is why there's a few funky ones from ruskie brands that stick out at weird angles, so that's a specific issue in the OP's case and it's exacerbated because foregrips with integrated bi-pods are always the longest/tallest of all types of foregrip. While the real grip-pods (the GPS design that the US and UK have issued) are 'ok', they're still not the most durable thing which is unavoidable due to the design, so then when you make a replica with typical airsoft materials you usually end up with something very flimsy. I'd wager most people who've ever attached a bi-pod of any kind for a functional purpose vs emulating something real, have ended up taking it off again not long later, since they're usually in the worst place to add weight (near the muzzle) and are no assistance in terms of accuracy with guns that shoot minute-of-barn at their maximum effective range. They have niche uses of course, good if you're going to stay in a spot you can rest the gun for 20+ minutes and just cover one narrow alley, but not a ton else.

  24. If you can get one to actually be shipped, I have a friend who ordered at the preorder stage, and STILL hasn't received it. Communication from Toxicant is dogshit, and they just leave you in the dark endlessly. All the toxicant gubbins that guy has in the listing hits £1600, then you pay another 300+ in tax at the border, and you won't avoid it as it ends up in ParcelForce's grubby mitts. The sad reality is, he will sell it as people want them enough to put up the insane money.

  25. Exactly like that but built like jabba the hutt ? Now I just need Edcase to sell me his latest 2 acquisitions... That CT25 would fit nicely in the VSR stock and would share mags with my drug lord and I could be the Mac king ?

  30. Thanks for the reply! Yep, filling them correctly, the bolts seems to run OK, doesn't drag and takes little force to open, though the nozzle sticks in the hop chamber quite tightly so that could be a source of resistance. Haven't checked the nozzle since I opened and regreased it, though it was at least second hand to me, so it could be a shot o ring like you said. Sadly there's not a lot of WE gas gun users round my way it feels like. I've seen one other l85 in the wild but I don't know the guy. I should mention as well that I would probably like to get a dual valve if possible anyway as I like them better. My hearing ain't the best and I'm better with feeling the mag go cold to determine fill level like with my mws mags :? Thanks again for the reply! I'll take a look at the o ring and get back to you. In the meantime if anyone else knows the answer to my dual valve question I'd be grateful as well Cheers!

Well today I finally got to have a decent look at the TM G36C that I got a while ago. Love the fact that it still has the "heavy weight" 0.25's in the packet and the bag of "don't shoot the dog" documents. It shoots, it's probably ok as a cqb, it has a torch holder on the right hand side so I think it's done most of its work indoors. I think this is from around 2000ish. ??

  33. Getting hold of a real one will make a huge difference. The airsoft versions feel nothing like as solid as a real one. That said, I'm still not a fan for most builds, just a little bit bulky for me.

    AirsoftHub Down?

Same. While I find a tonne of Mack's dreamers there, I do get the odd bargain. In fact my G36 that I field quite regularly was from a seller on Airsoft Hub. I've bought and repaired boneyard items that are far more reasonably priced than those on Patrol Base. I've also done a trade that worked out nicely for both of us. In all those instances, I dealt with the seller/trader face to face.

  35. Another plus this place has over faceache is that members can have different opinions and discuss or debate them without acting like a bunch of teenage girls talking about their favourite boyband. Sure, we might use slightly spicy language but that's totally different to just throwing childish insults around because the other person disagrees

  36. Daft question , but are you filling them correctly ? mag upside down . All of my WE stanags will happily do 2 loads of BBs with one gas fill, actually it's more like 2.5 loads but I rarely need to use that many. Mine are used in my L119's but also in my L85 which is the same spec as yours , RAtech NPAS and washers on the recoil rods. How free is your bolt ? if it's dragging that will use more gas , have you checked the O ring on the back of the nozzle ? again if it's shot it'll be using more gas . Do you knpw anyone else with a WE that takes stanags so you can compare perfomance in another gun ?

  37. That makes sense for CQB sites, it's what BioHazard and the Depot do near me. Outdoors, sites don't tend to do it because of the wider range of BB weights, but I think that's a bogus argument. Sites could be putting in (for the sake of argument) 0.36g BBs, which are at the upper end of what AEGs are going to be using, and in the DMR range. That's going to flush out most rogues, except for a few edge cases where people are Joule creeping with 0.4g+, so keep a single speedloader with 0.46g handy for bolties. If the event that someone does come out hot with 0.36g but claims they're OK with some pov-spec BBs, a third speedloader with 0.25g can confirm that. It really doesn't take much preparation to do this, but it seems to be beyond most sites. And of course, it only tells you what they're chronoing at, at the chrono, not 30 seconds later.
    1 point
  38. That's what they did at urban assault. Also the area where the chrono was used had enough space to watch the flightpath of the bb so they could tell if someone was being dishonest about bb weight

    Other places to chat

Don’t do it!!! Keep this forum going However, there are many Facebook groups This forums Facebook is linked below. That doesn’t have chat going on as it acts as a touch point for the forum and is likely to be used for the status of a major outage etc. It can be handy to have it anyway, for both its main purpose and for the Facebook algorithm to top up tour interest in airsoft, thus then suggesting others https://www.facebook.com/share/18gojAvwDN/?mibextid=wwXIfr A thing that Facebook compliments well along side forums is for sub groups - especially local region and/or site groups, that gets the opportunity to see what’s going on, meet like minded local people etc Next is the niche parts of airsoft - MilSim, speedsoft etc - good for like minded people and finding things further afield for your preferences (or discovering the local one that you have never heard of) It goes bad when the dispersed groups take the world away from the forums, which was the cause of the fall of forms, but followed when Facebook added more rules and people trickled back to forums (mainly for a sale) I suggest searching Facebook for local site names, sub genres and then seeing what else the algorithm comes up with I know that you say that you don’t use Facebook, but along with Reddit it is where chat happens Consider making a basic account just for airsoft that does not need to be your real name

  40. That's one of the most compelling cases to restore the gun to factory defaults as he has all the original parts. Not to dismiss his skills teching his own airsoft guns but surely a stock GBBR is more likely to sell? All the other accessories can be sold individually or in smaller bundles.

  46. Me in the middle as we move the crates to the base, the guy with the shield did a cracking job of deflecting the incoming BB's from a LMG posted down the track. Really wasn't sure about the leg mounted, open top mag carrier thing but it works really well, reduced the insulation around my body and help keep me cool. Me, parked where the LMG gunner was giving him few rounds back when the teams switched.
