Mystery Boxes are just retailers way to get rid of stock they can't sell. Save your money and actually buy something you want/need.5 points -

I may've bought a few things lately.. Some highly exciting maintenance stuff and some gas. A couple of nozzles for my unreliable VFC MP5K. Another ASG MP5 claw mount and a beautifully made UTG riser. Vector optics Veyron scope for my 416. Small angled vertical foregrip for my 416. I really want to hate vertical foregrips because they look awful, but they're annoyingly comfortable to use. A Vector Optics Paragon 4x prism sight for my 553. And finally, an E&C 416c with the sexiest handguard you can get for an AR; the Geissele SMR. Not sure if i'll keep it yet, i only want the handguard to go on another build. The stock is among the worst designed and most uncomfortable ones ever made.3 points -
Honestly, though I cant speak for anyone else, I would never touch a 2nd hand battery, especially if they have started becoming puffy. Chuck the puffy ones and try and sell the two that arent.3 points

My TM P90 has been on the bench in a queue for overhauling & upgrading, it has finally got to the front of the queue and the build has commenced. Hopefully will have it back in a couple of weeks+… in the meantime, my lads custom build was completed and it’s stunning! Hes been using the Sand Viper which was HPA’d however…… To say he’s a happy boy is an understatement! After seeing the end result I think I made need to have one made too2 points -
I have a JG SD, it's about 15 years old, done many MANY rounds through it and it refuses to die. Only recently done some work on it, a tad on the fiddly side but once you get the hang of it, it's fine.2 points

Jing Gong MP5SD Any Good?
ButcherBill and one other reacted to Anonymoose for a topic
Apparently the JG MP5s are all plastic-bodied, but still not too bad despite that. Not particularly study but also not particularly weak. The Cyma MP5s seem to get good reviews, but they're about £230 for an SD. Another thing to bear in mind for CQB, the SDs are about 4" longer than a regular MP5, if that matters to you. They still look cool as hell and you can hide a tracer inside the silencer. ??2 points -
Maybe, just maybe, the V3 tappet plate in the V2 gearbox that was installed by the previous owner wasn't the smartest move..... I dunno. Some people....??2 points

Bit of a miscellaneous one, But I've recently gained a bit of an interest in wristwatches. Just wondering what (if at all) watches do you lot field while playing? I've seen a lot of interesting picks for watches that can handle a BB or two, I've seen a lot of people that wing it and wear any regular-wear watch, And I've seen many that opt to not wear one at all from BB incident experience. I like to field my Casio G-shock while playing, It's a little bulky, But is absolutely bomb-proof. Veeery thick front glass. Some dude I saw last month had a lineup of F-91Ws, Had already lost one to a BB, Just replaces 'em everytime they get shot. Good thing they're cheap.1 point -
G&G ESB-10 mag release
ButcherBill reacted to Spartan09 for a topic
yeah, i dont want to just rip things apart and break something by accident i might give that a try, but issue of anything under the paddles is keeping it fixed there with constant mags in and out not at home currently, so cant look, but IIRC there is only a small amount of the reciever under the top of the paddles, while the bottom part is exposed and could get caught if a mag is inserted/pulled out too quick... i will have a closer look once im home tomorrow or monday1 point -

None. As already posted it's a way for shops to get rid of crap nobody wants and as its unwanted stuff you won't have much luck selling it on1 point -
Mystery Boxes
Orangetwister13 reacted to Tommikka for a topic
The best mystery boxes are the ones I sell at comicons, which come from former loot type subscription boxes. Of those the smaller boxes are the better ones (better things - but that depends on whether or not you like the things) We were selling them as per their contents, but people prefer the ‘mystery’ and were buying total tat from mystery bags so we closed the boxes As @BigStew has noted, anyone selling mystery boxes/bags are shifting surplus/slow moving stock - and/or are getting in extra tat to tot them up1 point -

5 x 1,100 11.1 volt lipos deans
Cannonfodder reacted to Galvatron for a topic
Used batteries are minefield to price because of the lost charge capacity and, especially with LiPos, their safety. I'd say £35 to £40 is the ball park. I'm not sure what ParcelForce would charge for shipping but that may be your only option as most other couriers won't ship LiPo batteries on their own for non-business accounts.1 point -
Thanks for the advice everyone! Sounds like if I make a genuine effort to check they have some sort of VCRA defence and apply a bit of common sense, that should be sufficient. As some of you have mentioned, it's (hopefully) very unlikely someone is going to be irresponsible with anything I've sold, so chances of me having to prove my innocence in any way is pretty slim! Really appreciate the help ?1 point

Slight diversion …… Popping large generation smart phones into the cup holder of camping chairs can engage multiple buttons and generate an emergency contact distress alert. Not too much of an issue if your emergency contact is in the camping chair next to you1 point -

As a watchmaker I can advice not to wear a very expensive watch ? I run a cheap casio, it's quartz so very accurate and if it gets shot out it's a tenner to replace (at least mine was £10 from ebay) https://amzn.eu/d/db86BEC Wearing anything like an apple watch is just screaming to be shot out, it happens I've seen it1 point -
yeah up to the task, however that price is insanely high and if you wanted reliability then SHS at half the price or Solink would have been the better option. I used to sell these but I was getting a reports of screws coming loose and shafts snapping so gave them the boot.1 point

Much like my airsoft guns, I just grab whatever cheap disposable Chinese-made tat comes to hand first in the morning. Actually true, I like buying Chinese standard movement watches from AliExpress, sometimes to disassemble. One day I'll manage to re-assemble one. And my MP5K. And my AEP.1 point -

On the TQ side of things, interestingly enough, first aid courses are starting to bring them into mainstream education slowly. There have been a few mass casualty events in the last ten years where first aiders understanding what they can and can't achieve would have made a real difference along with the risks and limitations. On a side note my personal pet hate is decompression needles that seem to come with so many IFAKs... Now they creep me out. ?1 point -
