This forum post comes off as very corny and a little out-of-place between the lines, to be fair.

I bought this at AP on Sunday, having admired it in the site shop for a while. It is currently in bits on the work table and will soon have a new hop rubber and nub, a Perun Hybrid and 13:1 gears so that I can run it on a 2000mAh 7.4v battery that just about fits in the handguard.

Pleased you got your rifle back, but confused as to why the plod would make a ridiculous comment like that. I would reopen comms with somebody at a higher level, because you can guarantee that Mr "redacted" would do his best to backpedal & deny giving you that advice, especially if your snatchback went pear shaped in some way, which sounds likely if these criminals are adept enough to hack in to vehicles. The fact you have the conversation recorded is great, but may still not be enough to stop you getting a criminal record if you go ahead with your plans.

Just be wary, the police have a lot more time for “violent” and “real” crime than they do “non-violent” crimes like theft and shoplifting. They’ll be more inclined to arrest you and charge you with assault for laying a hand on the thief whilst retrieving your stolen goods back, than they are inclined to charge the burglars. Lots of these thieves will know how to play the system as well. They’ll make their assault and lower hanging fruit than the theft of your belongings.

I though Easter holidays were over.

So for those that know my car was (confirmed by the garage) hacked and broken into, and my guns in their case were taken along with my kids tablets. Thanks to the vigilance of this community, the MTR16 has been found, reported and collected, attachments and all, in its case. Assuming you can prove it's yours, & the seller has enough of what was taken still in his possession to match your crime report. Even then, you're assuming he'll roll over & say something like "it's a fair cop guv, fill yer boots", or alternatively he claims he paid good money for them & tells you to do one, will you then be forced to rely on the local plod to turn up, given that they've previously blown you out apparently.

After messing around with my VFC ak's appearance an unhealthy amount recently I figured it could be a good idea to share and document what parts fit it without mods/minor mods/won't fit etc. So far I have tried: (Colour code: Green = Straight Fit / Orange = Modification Needed / Red = Won't Fit) E&L Wood Furniture (Handguards) LCT Wood Furniture (Handguards) Genuine AK74m Lower Handguard (May vary on manufacturer, not sure what manufacturer the one I tried was) LCT B-10M 5KU SPORT-4 (Retainer catch and receiver block (On the actual lower handguard where it slots into the hole of the AK receiver) needed filing a small amount) LCT Triangle Stock (A shim for the top of the stock is needed to stop the stock from walking up and down) 5KU B-33 (Fits fine however as it's AEG spec it needs to be cut and redrilled) If you have one and would like to help me extend the list it would be massively appreciated!

17 Gen 5 MOS was like 4% of sales I was reading. As you say 45s are just selling like hot cakes in all but California (for obvious reasons) until the law is changed Gen 3 still going to outsell just about everything else.

The RIF I wanted so bad, that when I joined these forums 20+ years ago, my username was 'Bison Hunter' 😁. I got a custom made from a TM Beta Spetsnaz but it wasn't really skirmishable. Then I quit the hoppy and came back 15 years later to find that Bizons had basically been and gone... until Patrol Base got some stock in at the same time I got a work bonus. I've had it 3 weeks and decided I wanted to remove the stock completely and cover the exposure at the back. This required an adaptor that itself required some angle grinder attention. But now with the RK-3 grip, B-13 mount (both with funky Russian language on them), and PBS-1 can, it's almost my dream RIF. In lieu of a decent Kobra sight, I have a C More sight on the way, so the nasty one on here is a placeholder. First game on Sunday and I just can't wait! 😁

So after deciding not to spend too much on the new 417 right away.. i bought a new inner barrel, a new M100 Spring, a scope, a bipod, and two 500mm pieces of raw ally bar/tube to make a silencer for it. I can't be trusted with money.

I've never had any issues with leaky mags or shattered nozzles, so I think there's an element of bad luck on your part there. In terms of what I do, I make sure to never use gas that will be too strong for it (depending on temperature, as gas has different psi at different temps), and for the mags I always keep them stored with a little bit of Abbey maintenance gas in them to keep the seals nice and lubed.

Let me clarify the snatchback part. The gun was bought by another players relation at hounslow heath car boot sale. There was confirmation that the rest of my kit was there Sunday and it's open again Thursday, I'm going to rock up, make my self known to the manager/organisers explain the situation and go with them to reccie and hopefully find what remains of my kit, as they don't allow stolen goods and don't want to loose any licenses they have. I'm aware I need to add more context but the snatch back will be just that, purely legal Their words, not mine, I never disclosed to them at any point that I was in

Blue 70 degree silicon autobot in my one (and indeed in most of my pistols) seems to work very well. I took the view that with the extra grippiness of the silicone, a 70 degree is about the equivalent of the 50 degree in old money. No idea if it really aligns like that, but the results seem to bear that theory out.

Except for the bit where "dead" players can call out tactical info, I can see most players getting fed up with that pretty quickly😤

Erk sorry to hear that guys! I've hammered mine - I run it alongside my 1911 and it's just way too much fun to use. Been getting lots of kills with it Would be nice if we got a diagram of the internals - I'll open her up for a lube/clean after my next game. I'll be sure to take some photos.

My AEP is in its component pieces, awaiting yet another Quixotic attempt to make it usable. As stock, they're all about 0.4J / 200fps with 0.2g, maybe a fraction more. As noted, the semi auto trigger response is poor, even when running them on lipo. The cheaper ones that come with nimh batteries have truly dreadful semi response, and given that they're only really usable in CQB due to the low energy, you'll always be at a big disadvantage in any snap-shot duel. They do work, after a fashion, but you'll always be disappointed with them.

Just like the time i spent hundreds building a Glock 45 with all nice internal parts then put a steel slide on it and ruined the performance entirely. 🥲

Not as far as i can tell. When i changed it, there doesn't seem to be any space for movement. I want to run them on CO2 with NPAS which comes with an ally loading nozzle, but i still need to figure out the failing to feed issue. Possibly magazine feed lips too far apart? Don't be coming in here talking about reliable gas MP5s!

Hello mate, I had a great experience with them early this year. I ordered a warhead black motor from E6 for a custom build- nearly 6 months later the tech I sent it too said it was the wrong one and I needed a short shaft instead. I thought I would be pushing my luck even thinking about asking for an exchange, but thought I would try so I emailed the bloke at E6 - he emailed back in an hour, no problem - send old one back and I will send the short one. Can't ask for any better than that. Cheers

I heard a rumour from IWA at the G45 & G45 MOS sales were outstripping every other model and glock were considering reducing all the models that competed with the G45 MOS. Did put much weight in it as it was pub talk. Sounds like my friend might have been speaking some truth. In other news (with the help of Facebook translate) it sounds like the new batch of G17.5s might ship in Japan soon. Maybe on 2nd May?in
