Hi folks, never thought this day would ever come but I'm moving into cycling, partially for my health but it's always been my hidden passion. As a result I've decided to sell off my collection, many of you will know my collection so keep an eye on the classifieds and appraisal sections for more info.7 points -

don't worry, i did! its just nice to have a different explanation of the rules or to have any unspoken rules mentioned. i wanted to make sure i actually understood everything before trying to sell things thanks for the tip though. thank you so much!!! stuff like this was exactly what i was looking for!4 points -
Good on you for asking. https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/ and read the banner. You may need to make a few more posts to get access to the classifieds. If you want to actually sell stuff, then 60-70% of the current lowest retail value is a realistic price to achieve. Extras and uPgRaDeS don't add much, they're more of a deal sweetener. Used two tones are less desirable than RIFs. Do yourself a favour and figure out any extra fees and postage up front and list an all-in price, rather than starting to tack on more costs later. Most sensible buyers will only pay by PayPal goods-and-services (not friends and family), or face-to-face. It's quick and easy to send a PayPal invoice / request a payment, listing exactly what you're offering and what you want them to pay. Understand that postage is at your risk, not the buyers, and figure out what level of risk and cover you want to accept. That's entirely your concern. Best of luck.4 points

You've got to love these expensive toys that function as normal but struggle to shoot consistently. The issue is so easy to repair that the seller hasn't done it himself to improve the resale value on his two-tone GBBR. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/37769-tokyo-marui-mk18-mod1-gbbr He also pulls the "hard to get" card but I find it this particular example of the Mk18 hard to want without full transparency on the problems with it.3 points -
UPS RIF Declaration for Parts
Cannonfodder and 2 others reacted to 0mega for a topic
Apologies folks, For both necroposting AND also for not coming back with feedback regarding my initial forum post which could have been helpful to others. I hope I can close out this out with my feedback and it helps others going forward. My issue was relating to importing PARTS and not an actual RIF/IF. For importing RIF/IF's I still highly reccomend engaging with(and supporting) your local (or at least UK based) retailer(s) to handle this part. In my own experience, most will be happy to support and can source directly from manufacturers/distrubutors. In my case the part was no longer manufacutred and I could only source from an international retailer. The retailer wrongly assigned a HARM code to the item (protecting themselves and exposing the buyer). The form sent by the shipping company was geared towards importing a RIF which I was not importing therefore I just filled out it as best as I could and I received the goods okay albeit with a hefty delay and import tax. Nowhere on the form does it state it is confidential or private therefore I have attached the document with my personal info redacted in the hope it is helpful for others in a similar boat. In the e-mail back to the shipping company I stated the following: The shipment can be inspected. The shipment does not contain a RIF or an IF, it does not have a velocity because it is not a RIF or IF. It also does not resemble a RIF or an IF, it is an airsoft accessory. If you have a UKARA number just use it. Ultimately, this was my defence, the part could not be used to convert or manufacture a RIF therefore no defence needed. But I'm in agreement with you that prospective imports should consider what they're importing and how it could be construed by BF. RIF declaration_REDACTED.doc3 points -

Hi guys, We're trying to organise a GBB only event at The Gaol Events. It is truly an amazing site. Minimum players required 30, We're trying to get as many players we can. Provisional date is the 21st June. This is a private event only and will require a password to book on. Details will be ironed out as we gather numbers. ???? Feel free to pm me https://discord.gg/dwnQNxVZdb https://chat.whatsapp.com/Hd9rwKMEDQaGSUyGTnvfoE Rules for the events. GBB and NBB only (gas shotguns and MK23s) Extended mags are fine but no drum mags HPA tapped mags are ok, as long as they are the standard capacity for the mag Additionally HPA tapped rifles (such as the VFC M249) will be allowed NO HPA ADAPTORS (just the mags intended for the gun) Spring shotgun allowed as back up. Snipers allowed gas preferred but spring allowed. (Site dependant) To keep to the spirit and nature of owning a GBB were trying to keep this a somewhat tactical game day, so please no speedsoft. Keep in mind if you turn up with nothing but an AEG or any other rif that does not conform to the rules. You will be turned away. If you have any questions feel free to message me.1 point

Have you personally tried it? How is it in terms of reliability as @Skarahas mentioned. Right got it. Mainly just want to improve the feel and playing experience(trigger response) with the gun really, and make it nice and satisfying to play with. Thought upgrading the motor would be a simple one as i can literally pull it out of the bottom.1 point

Ahoy and welcome. I'm very sorry to hear that, and surprised too. My TAC-41 (gen 2, after they fixed the feed ramp) has been one of the very few airsoft purchases that's actually performed as advertised, right out of the box with just a spring change. Your energy is spot on 2.3J, so that's not the problem. It sounds like you're just very under-hopped. Do you actually see a difference in BB trajectory as you increase the hop? You should be able to send .28g BBs into low earth orbit with a decent amount of hop applied. If not, on the off chance that there's something damaged in there, you could try a Chub Nub, or replace the hop rubber, or waaaaait a second. When you say you've lubed it, including the "cup", have you put any sort of lube, like silicone oil, inside the barrel, hop unit, or inside the cylinder (or into the mags)? Is it possible that you've fouled the hop rubber with lubricant? And have you tried cleaning the hop rubber (and barrel) with a barrel cleaning rod and some paper towel / fabric patch, ideally with some isopropanol? Hang in there, it's a decent design and we should be able to figure this out.1 point

BrizzleBloke reacted to rj1986 for a topic
I would try new hop rubber + nub, and whilst you're there a new barrel (if you're feeling flush). Whilst my Tac 41 has just been dressed up and only had a spring change in it, the reviews say OOTB it should be pretty good. Whack the hop up to overhop the 0.4's then dial it back to see what the flight path is. A VMP wouldn't help address the issues of range/accuracy (i don't think, but happy for someone to correct me)but for more fine tuning and getting that last 5/10 fps.1 point -
TL;DR - FMA L/XL sized helmets tend to fit big heads better than others, from personal experience (62cm bonce) the FMA Exfil Bump (Team Wendy knock off) and the FMA PJ style FAST both fit well with plenty of space, others have suggested that the FMA AirFrame is particularly roomy. You may have to remove some of the pads to fit your head properly. Quick note - different shells have a different head shape so one size in an OpsCore style won't necessarily fit the same as the same size in a Team Wendy style. I find the Ops Core ones are too round for my head for example.1 point

Also - I will caveat this by saying that I was told all of this in the past and I never paid attention to it either.1 point

Moving to HPA
Rogerborg reacted to ButcherBill for a topic
Gonna keep my denix MP40 and convert it to HPA, I'm a complete novice when it comes to HPA so I have some questions... Assuming I find an inner barrel that fits, would I be able to connect the air pump from my 30ltr Tropical fish tank to use in game? Will a 4mm hose from Pets at Home be practical (they do come in several lengths) Obviously I'll either need a portable generator or a long extension cord from B&Q Thanks in advance, Gavin. p.s. I'll not bring the fish tank as that would be silly.1 point -

Gun barrel and shimming
Chev Chelios reacted to Pseudotectonic for a topic
Ahoy The problem might be two parts: 1. outer barrel not center / sitting correctly / tightened in the receiver, and/or 2. handguard not center / sitting correctly / tightened in the receiver. 1. To align / center / stablize / rigidify the outer barrel you can shim the insert area (which goes into the receiver) like this: You want it to feel a little difficult to insert, but once it's in and tightened, it should be very solid. 2. To stablize the handguard I guess you can try tightening the nuts and/or barrel nut to see if it stops wobbling. If not there are some aftermarket "barrel nut shims" you can put on to tighten it further. Whether it affects accuracy: yes in a highly controlled environment, but probably will not affect you meaningfully in an actual game. And about shimming gearbox, shimming gearbox is only one of the many steps to great trigger response, there are other areas of upgrades you can look at, like the motor, battery, gear ratio, mosfet precocking etc. You won't get top tier trigger response just from improving the factory shimming. It will help a little, but not all the way. Which it seems you have got the expected result.1 point -

UPS RIF Declaration for Parts
Chev Chelios reacted to Amokura for a topic
After 5-weeks of waiting, it finally arrived. With all the invoices (UKARA, FPS/.J 0.20g etc), no tampering with the package, and a swift inspection by Border Customs. So as great as having the RIF be processed with no issues, it appears the waiting time may be a result of new implementations causing a queue or backlog of goods1 point
