Plate carrier advice for ladies
The Waco Kid and one other reacted to Tackle for a topic
Maybe consider a warrior tmv vest or one of the many similar "vests" , it's essentially a molle waistcoat & gives good coverage all over, allows for pouch placement wherever you want & once adjusted goes on like a jacket, very comfortable & should take the sting out of most shots. Obviously to give the best advice to sizing & coverage etc, we will need to see suitable pictures of your gf 😏2 points -

Plate carrier advice for ladies
Rogerborg reacted to Chev Chelios for a topic
So the ladies seem to get on with the likes of PT Armor (like the stuff worn in the movie Black Hawk Down) Its soft and has elastic sides so can conform around the bust for good fit. Then wear whatever over the top. A cooler (as in heat) would be something like a British Assault Vest (good price for a bit of kit that will outlast you). Is good because "it has pouches covering the nips and protects lower back). https://preppersshop.co.uk/british-military-dpm-assault-vest-62566-p.asp https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/8fields-tactical-pt-tactical-body-armour1 point -

Most likely won't be running plates she wants a bit more coverage had an issue of someone taking great fun in full autoing her a bit too much in the chest. So it's mostly for a bit of coverage and to carry kit1 point -

Will she be running “plates”? Very few are made with females in mind and ones that are, can be pricey. Chest rig would be a better option but even then, if the girls are lorge, maybe a belt kit?1 point -
TM standard MP5k vs JG MP5k vs Classic Army MP5k - Exterior Build Quality

Unless you are dead set on an AEG, the WE Apache GBB is a nice bit of kit. All the appropriate bits are metal and three round burst is fun. Kicks a bit though and mags are heavy and limited rounds.1 point -

I'd personally buy a HC because altough fps is low you're compensated by good rate of fire. I think it's pretty light as well I don't think it's more than 2kg. And if you keep it stock it runs forever. Also, used good deals pop up sometimes so you don't even have to pay retail prices if you're not in a rush. Unless you fancy a spaceship cyma mp5k with really questionable mosfet: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/cyma-cm-041l-smg-5k-m-lok-upgraded-version. Probably a Mk23 or any pistol is "better" than a mp5k simply because less weight and you can holster it a lot easier. But I never played as a sniper so... 🤷♂️1 point -

I'm a sucker for a two tone pistol so I would use it as is but the idea to put grey grips on this I think would make it better. Can't wait to see how it turns out.1 point

I may have been lucky when shipping long guns in that one I was offered a box from another shooter who didn't need it and the second where I broke the rifle down to allow it to fit in a 'squarer' box, with the buyers consent of course. Now I have at least 1 empty long box in storage just in case. You can always ask your fellow shooters in case they have one tucked away, going spare. Good luck.1 point

Egon_247 reacted to ButcherBill for a topic
I've bought 'one or two' from the classifieds & the one's that aren't in original boxes are generally in adapted boxes whether it's a random amazon box or a couple of boxes taped together, only ever had one issue where the seller really didn't wrap or pad the box for posting & the pew rattled about so much it had fallen out (presumably at a posties feet to the call of WTF???). Whatever you use just make sure it's secure.1 point -
MWS M16a1/2 grenadier

As the title states, I’m selling my hand-built m16a1/2 rifle with m203 launcher. the included receiver(s) are; NOVA m16a1 machined aluminium m16a1 receiver (the current receiver) and the included m16a2 receiver is an Angrygun m16a2, also aluminium, also machined receiver. Both are great, the NOVA one is slightly better quality, but not accurate to the rest of the rifle, if you’re particular about build accuracy. As for the rest of the gun, the entire front end is a g&p steel a2 front end, with the classic cheese-grater handguard for the m203. The launcher is also g&p. The stock is also g&p, and is very well built, as are all the g&p parts. trigger group is a GunsModify steel internal/alloy body fcg. Bolt carrier is a Hao milled steel BCG, with a GM v3.5 nozzle and a NPAS keeping it at 1.1j, despite the 390mm IB. Buffer tube is a full length buffer system, accurate to the m16, with an appropriate full length spring and buffer. I spared no expense when I built this, and as a result, this is the only aftermarket MWS build I’ve ever encountered, or built that runs BETTER than a stock Marui, at a cost of over £1200, at the time of building. Magazine not included, though I could potentially include one for additional cost. The only thing missing to install the AG receiver is a hop unit. As the gun has spent its entire life as a wall hanger, I’ve never bothered to finish swapping the receivers. Any further questions, please feel free to DM me. Potentially open to splitting the RIF and the receiver. Collection near Brighton preferred, but can be posted at buyers expense.£900

Price gouging ?
Platoon Leader reacted to fbc for a topic
It’s a different business but hopefully will give some insight from a retailers perspective. I had someone posted that we had price-gouged him on a pair of tyres. Our sale price was the manufacturers recommended retail price, at which we made 25% profit margin. He purchased his tires as a walk-in customer at 7.30pm - we used to stay open until 9pm to accommodate bike riders working all day. In addition we fitted the tyres for him. Most shops close at 6pm. For us to stay open cost us £80 per hour. So staying open that night cost us £240. I checked the toll records and that night we made 2 sales - the tyres and one cup of coffee. Total sales of £82.50 from which we made a gross profit of £21.50. As a result we lost £218.50. In his negative Google review he suggested that we should have price matched an online discounter. Had we matched their price we would have made 50p from the tyres! And the online guys don’t offer to fit them for free, or give him the convenience of picking him up his tyres in time for him to ride to work the following morning. As you can imagine the words ‘price gouging’ is a very emotive one for me. So all I would say is don’t always jump to the conclusion that the retailer is always out to gouge you. There’s always the option of not buying from anyone you think is gouging. But sometimes perhaps they’re just trying to make enough to pay their bills and feed their kids.1 point
