These are my cases: most of them use shadow foam. however I found a company called max case that do factory fitted generic laser cut foam. So that’s where all my short mags go!3 points -

I was looking through the forum and I haven’t seen a thread dedicated to people’s kit bags or cases. Personally all of my stuff if organised into several Nuprol cases, Peli cases, max cases. Recently shadow foam have been doing a purple foam which looks quite nice 😁 My magazine case is a max case with laser cut inserts (comes like this from factory so it’s fairly cheap).2 points -

New Bangy Thing

Scrolling through faceache I saw this announcement from JD Airsoft. It's not new ... just different! Introducing the FRAG (Field Reloadable Airsoft Grenade) and experience the ultimate build in reliability, affordability, and safety! With over 3 years of R&D, component testing and field stress checks, the FRAG is the most robust lightweight impact blank firing grenade on the market - A world's first in fact! Using the latest Dupont Hytrel 5556® thermoplastic polyester elastomer, the FRAG impact grenade is very light but very strong. Weighing in at only 195g the device is safer than any other throwing device available making CQB a much safer environment to play in. THE FRAG grenade is a product that will not only offer you a highly demanding reliable experience, but also at a cheaper and more affordable price point. On sale from 31st August - in store and online. Available in 10 different colours. FREE FRAG PATCH with every purchase (while stocks last). For now they take .209 primers. They haven't said anything about price yet so it'll be interesting to see how they compare to oshi booms and quake grenades1 point -

Is active hearing protection/ear buds necessary???
Wavey_Gravey reacted to TheFull9 for a topic
A good budget option is a set of the SuerFire sonics (Ep3/4/7) which allow enough through that you can hear and play basically normally but they also knock loud stuff down a few dB. EP3 are a standard issue item and do well for shooting.1 point -

I’m selling my upgraded WE SCAR-H with three gas-tight magazines, scope and grip-pod. It’s set up properly as a DMR, so it’s semi-locked (reversible if needed) and chronos at 1.8j on 0.4s. Like all good DMRs it’s had plenty of fettling. Internally it’s got an Angry Gun adjustable nozzle, which adjusts with an allen key in seconds. I spent a lot of time getting it stable and efficient, so it will clear a few mags worth of BBs on one fill. It’s got an extended Maple Leaf tightbore, with an ML hop rubber. Comfortably shoots 100 airsoft metres – joking, obviously. I’m not sure exactly to the meter what the range is, but it easily reaches out to 1.1j folk before they can reach you. Externally there’s a WE outer barrel extension, G&P M3 scope, grip-pod and the original BUIS. Internally, it’s sweet as a nut. Externally, few scuffs you’d expect from a fielded RIF. This is honestly one of the most fun to shoot RIFs I have, with amazing recoil for an airsoft GBB but it just doesn’t suit my play style. I prefer to either hang right back/hide with my boltie or get up close a bit more. Full spec: WE SCAR-H (Open Bolt) 3x Gas Tight mags Angry Gun adjustable nozzle Semi-locked WE outer barrel extension ML 310mm 6.04mm inner barrel ML Mr Hop (70 degree) G&P M3 scope Grip-pod Pack of spare WE magazine o-rings By my maths there’s well over £749 of kit here, so let's start at £475 (think I was a bit keen here, so reduced to) £425 inc P&P + paypal fees£425

Best motor for my ARP-9
Rogerborg reacted to Colin Allen for a topic
If you purchased it new from a retailer, you might be best advised to send it back; there may be a fault causing the motor to overheat. However, it is worth asking what you mean by "overheating issues"; what are the symptoms?1 point -

Could an older family member buy me an RIF?
ak2m4 reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
Strange. Its usually the start of school holidays when the dumb how to get a rif without a defence posts appear No. The person buying it for you must have a defence to buy rifs. If they do have a defence then they can gift someone under 18 a rif but there must be no exchange of money, goods or services. Also if you're under 18 then you don't have a defence. Yes1 point -
Netrek, in the early 1990s (player roster from 1992). Originally just "Roger", for the never-not-funny "Roger that message" response in chat, the "borg" got added when I figured out how to crack the client and cheat like a speedsofter slightly enhance my game experience. Three decades later, it seems to have stuck.1 point

MP5 Rigs
Rogerborg reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
It's been said above, but full flap (double) M4 pouches comfortably (and neatly) each take two MP5 mags side by side. E.g. the issued osprey double mag pouches that can be had for a few quid off ebay. That's between 6 and 8 mags on the front of your plate carrier dependant on the size of the carrier.1 point -

Sounds like it's reacted with something in the wipe, possibly whatever solvent they use. It's why they both recommend using their own wipes with their lenses.1 point

Case layout
MistakenMexican reacted to Herr Eagle for a topic
Oh how I hate cases as I have been through a number of them trying to find the right combination, Cinderella had it easy! Would highly recommend the nuprol line if cases, nice value and quality and eggshell foam as it's just more versatile though doesn't look as good. I like to use a couple of 2" velcro strips to secure the foam into the cases. Not had it come away before and allows you to remove as needed (I store cleaning rods behind mine). For pnp foam I would suggest a can of plasti dip to toughen it up. The shadow foam is pretty neat, a bit more tricky to get set up but will be nicer than pnp foam. The base fitted nuprol case perfectly but the lid was off and eventually just chucked it and kept eggshell for that bit. If you want a custom style case & still want the ability to change it now and again then you really need to go with the magpul daka system, either in a pelican vault or magpul daka case. Let's you play around with it and reconfigure it in a few minutes. Downside is the sheer cost of it, essentially looking at £500 per case, but allows you to store and travel with changing load outs. I did have a look at retrofitting it into a nuprol case but would require silly levels if modification and unlikely to fit well-just need a company to mimic it 🙄 The Shadow foam in nuprol case, completed layout (top foam removed in the end) Pelican vault with Daka insert (this pic was taken after I got it and not finished at time of picture)1 point
