KWA akg-74m gbbr automatic issues
Gunner91 and one other reacted to GenuineGerman for a topic
Had a response from KWA; Thanks for reaching out to us at KWA. Based on the information provided, I would recommend you fill out an RMA request. If you are inside the U.S. we can have our technicians take a better look and get to the bottom of the issue. If your gun is under the 90 day period and has not been disassembled or modified, it should be covered under warranty. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a good day! That realistically isn’t going to happen which was my reply. Let’s see what they come back with.2 points -

VFC Glock 19X in Tan and a E&C Glock 19X in black. Both are Gen 5. Internally the E&C is a TM clone. The E&C build quality reminds me of a TM with a Guarder slide fitted. It's head and shoulders above anything from WE, Raven, etc. The other big bonus is that they are about £95.2 points -

Some sources for training: The UK Mountain Leader Training Board. https://www.mountain-training.org/ Navigation, navigation, navigation! This is the UK body that administers the WGL; ML (mountain leader); WML; EML and SPSA/MIA/MIC (mountain instructor award). I am probably out of touch with current state of award but just doing the 4-5 day Mountain Leader training at Plas-Y-Brenin (not the final assessment) is excellent. Yes I did do mine twice…. Everything comes down to navigation, oh sorry but your gps, fell over. Resection please. Not sure if classic abseil is stills thing though. ? Old school books: Eric Langmuir’s Mountain craft and leadership. Peter Cliffe’s Mountain navigation. The above are not “survival” but about how to organise and conduct expeditions and field trips. They tend to get over looked in the “SAS survival guide” market but are much more useful to civilian outdoor activities. No landing Place series. Aircraft crash sites in British mountains. Sad but interesting sites to visit. Ray Mears, The outdoor survival handbook. This is the one that covers the UK and is organised by season. His other books are good. He is British outdoor sage. The Woodlore knife, just get a cheap mora… ? John Fenna, various online articles, he used to write articles in Combat and survival and still active in UK bushcraft. I think he is a guide at St. Fagan’s living history site doing Celtic and Neolithic living. I will ask on the forum and update. Hidden Valley bushcraft. Excellent YouTube “how too” guides. Inactive in the interwebs but still a great resource. I’ve tried to make videos and it’s hard work (therefore beyond me) plus an art to do anything that is informative. Some left field references: Jack Hargreaves. Archived TV series on you tube. I’ve included him as background on why certain things are in the UK countryside are as they are (or not). Yes he is some old boy smoking a pipe and taking about fly fishing. He knew more about ecology, sustainability, history and the environment sixty years ago than many people today. He was Monty’s communications and intelligence specialist in WW2. He helped to set up a couple of British TV networks. None of his shows had a script, just 45 minutes of knowledge delivered, no out-takes and very little editing.2 points -

Bought a Holy Warrior Sig Romeo 8T clone for the Sig 553 Wasnt too impressed with the parallax before it was fitted and the reticle looked wonky. But having fitted it and looking at it down the replica it’s very nice. Nice trademarks, suits the rif ?1 point -
MP5 Rigs
n00b1982 reacted to Jacob Wright for a topic
Since getting my NGRS MP5 I run the magazines in my Platatac chest rig, it comfortably holds 5 across the front with no retention issues. However I did find that they fitted nicely into my Esstac 9mm pouches, so I have considered just carrying a couple on a belt rig if I were to go light for some reason.1 point -
My SMG kit is a heavy setup because I'm an immersion nerd so my plate carrier has weighted training plates in it to mimic the weight of real plates, and if I'm using an SMG I would probably want a plate carrier as an SMG is far more at home in a direct action style kit; my chest rigs or solo battle belt kits tend to be for more recce or scout sniper style loadouts with a DMR or bolt action rifle, which in fairness is what I tend towards more anyway as I prefer it. So for my SMGs, I use my Warrior Assault Systems plate carrier that has a bunch of different front panels that I change out depending on which gun I'm using. One of these front panels has 2x Viper triple SMG mag pouches, and I tend to remove one of the m4 mag pouches on the side for an extra double 8fields SMG mag pouch for 8 spare magazines in total, plus one in the gun for my mp9. The mp9 is a GBBR, so combined with the weighted training plates it's incredibly heavy, but it feels so right. It's also a great workout1 point

I use the Blue Force Gear Ten-Speed MP7 Chest Rig for my SMG GBB games, they have worked with mags for WE MP5, WE SMG8/MP7 (new wave small rice), TM NGRS MP5, VFC UMP9 (with some force), Glock long bois and more recently VFC MPX mags with no adjustment.1 point

Propane
Enid_Puceflange reacted to woody_2231 for a topic
Don't buy the ebay/Amazon propane adaptors, they are a waste of money. Get the jaeger precision adaptor or wait for the BAVTAC adaptor to come out. Also, buy Map gas (yellow bottles) because they are pure propylene and runs hotter than Blue bottles1 point -
I picked up a can of the new ASG Orange (164psi) gas to test yesterday. I have been running my MWS on the ASG beige gas for ever and just bought 6 more cans from Firesupport ? Testing was done in 20degC, averaged over 10 shots, with my MWS, mag #1 and 0.32g BBs. YMMV… in fact I am sure it will! This info is only an indication or relative output. ASG beige: 261fps ASG Orange: 267fps They also do the green (135psi) and red (178psi) versions to drop or increase the power. I would GUESS around 220fps / 290fps….will confirm if I get to test any!1 point

GBB Pistol as my first Airsoft gun
RostokMcSpoons reacted to Nick G for a topic
It's the valve knocker that fails, especially if you insert a mag without cocking the gun first. Slide doesn't need to be locked back, just cocked. TBH it's so easy to replace that It's not a big issue, A mate and I have been experimenting with a fix involving using a steel pin to replace the post the knocker 'spring' fits on ( thats the bit that snaps) Too early yet to know if it's a perminant fix. I run mine regularly and have actually had very few failures of the knocker, it lifts .30's happily and is a hoot to use.1 point -

It's also a good idea to pack a hi viz vest in your bag to aid being spotted in emergencies. Plus it's useful to avoid getting twatted if you end up being out longer than expected, and have to trek along tight country roads in the dark.1 point -

Except that a bout of the shits and spewing your ring from drinking contaminated water exacerbates your dehydration. So it had better be an extreme emergency to drink water you know to be contaminated to "survive".1 point -
