  1. New M4 arrived, threw in a JG blue motor from my dead M4 and now the trigger response is fantastic on an 8.4v. Wonder how much better it'll be with a mosfet installed and a Lipo battery?

  2. I like this, you took apart your gun, didn't pay any attention to how it went together as you did so and in the process kinda broke it... now because we're not willing/able to help it's suddenly someone else's fault!

  4. Going to replace the bushings with bearings, metal spring guide with a ball bearing spring guide and the stock piston head with a G&P esplosive piston head (everything that was installed in the dead M4) Performance should improve a little bit, though the mosfet and lipo will make the biggest difference. Ooo I'm getting all giddy just thinking about the performance outcome.

  7. Problem is, Dan, they keep all weapons on military bases locked up tight most of the time...even on camps the MoD only use for the Cadet forces and training (such as Longmoor in the south of UK) the weapons are kept behind a massive steel door with like 3 different locks on it and the walls are very thick. Even if you got through the door, the rifle racks are kept behind steel mesh fencing (which you could cut through) however the racks themselves have security bars that prevent the weapons being taken out of them. Even if you did get behind all the security, they keep the loose ammunition somewhere else (idk where, only ever been into the armoury to pick up weapons)

    Fuse Problems

it'll help you find out where the resistance is in the circuit, should tell you where/what the problem is!

  9. DE M56. They're the only cheap tri-shot shotguns. Patrol Base stocks them for around £60 IIRC. Wouldn't recommend the one with the M1014 style adjustable stock as it is very wobbly. So either the full stock or pistol grip version. Extra pack of shells is a tenner but I remember not all of mine worked very well so make sure to break them in and lube properly which should help.

  11. Acogs aren't 1-4, sounds more like an elcan spectre, but they can't change the reticle. If it is, I'd probably avoid getting one, I'm yet to see one where the 1x setting is actually 1x and not 0.something.

  13. I bought a couple MAG ones a few weeks back. The cheaper ones are plastic but if you don't mind that they feed brilliantly and are affordable. I got mine from Airsoft Supply Drop. Unfortunately didn't fit through the letterbox because of the size (so had to pick them up ont weekend) but on the plus side they were very nicely protected. Would recommend.

  14. After a hassle getting hold of an OHSIBOOM I stumbled across this beauty, a bit more money but much, much nicer. It's amazing how I can't buy a RIF, but can buy a blank firing grenade.

  15. Just bear this in mind: the police have got far better things to be doing than chasing up someone who may have painted a toy gun 3 days before they had a definite defence against prosecution for having done so, which defence they gained by turning up to an airsoft site with said gun, especially since the intention to do so is the defence, in this aspect of the law, but also since the Association of Chief Police Officers have said the law is unenforcible (hence our hypothetical coppers would have a bit of explaining to do when their arrest record for the week was scrutinised). Plain and simply, nobody who understands the law can take it seriously and, by definition, anybody who attempts to give you grief about it doesn't understand the law so fuck 'em... Just don't be a dick with your AEG, whatever colour it is, and you'll be fine. Naturally, should you decide to test the limits of what "being a dick" entails, it will not be contravening the VCRA for which you will be arrested, but any of a string of firearms and/or public order offences which existed before and will exist long after the VCRA has been quietly superceded.

  16. I love how when these topics come up everyone owns a sword and, having swung it around in their house, assumes they know how to use it. Using any sword, especially those requiring very specialised technique like a katana, is not easy.

  17. I'd just stand in a doorway with one of my katanas. Ain't no zombies getting through there then. Airsoft guns vs 28 Days Later style rage-zombies? You are fucked my friend. Walking Dead style, been rotting for a few months, you'd probably have a fair chance against them. Though, not as fair a chance as you might get from, say... A hammer. Or really, anything else.

  18. Depends on what film/comic/book etc you base "your" apocalypse on. Walking dead... You see some of the characters simply push a slightly point bit of wood straight through a zombie's skull like it's made of cardboard...

  19. I think you'd do more damage by smashing their knee caps with it to be honest, it'll slow them down that's for sure. If you do that, leave one left alive and you'll have time to re-build your barriers and pack-a-punch with little risk.
