Lex Dangler Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 The title says it all really! Let me know your thoughts...
Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted December 13, 2020 Supporters Posted December 13, 2020 Define effecient. You mean shots per fill, resistance to cole weather, or rounds required to hit a target?

Apparently the VFC HK45 is very good too?

Impulse Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Anything TM... Honestly though? TM 1911. Magazine gas reservoir is tiny, but I've used it in all weathers and it continously cycles flawlessly. I love it.

I didn't consider that there might be differences in size of the reservoirs ?

The more modern TM’s with 15mm nozzle are the best My current favourite is the FNX, huge range, consistent grouping, 29 round magazine that will fire 87 rounds before you need a refil, optic ready, cheap mags

The FNX looks pretty sweet as well!
heroshark Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 USP compact snappier too, and I own the hk45.

AlphaBear Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 I was playing around with a TM HK45 yesterday. Goodness. Incredible to hold and the blow back was strong. But more importantly the range was exceptional. And that’s just stock. I may chuck in a flamingo 50deg bucking and see what it does.

Pleased to hear that you're enjoying it ?
Skara Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Surprise Surprise, TMs Out of all the GBBs I've had my hands on, TMs have always been the most efficient, even my 2nd hand super battered G17 keeps pumping 2 mags worth per charge. The only other GBBs with similar efficiency are my two AAP-01s
Hami Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 +1 for the TM fnx. Lovely bit of kit. Can't wait for someone to start making metal slides for them. Saying that it's very nice plastic they've used. Much better than the older gen glocks (not sure about other stuff!)
Cyberlawyer Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 I have recently bought an FNX that I have yet to skirmish in anger, and to say the performance is staggering is an understatement. The only other Gas pistol that can compete with it IMHO is the MK23, but that is non-blowback. That being said I don't particularly enjoy shooting it (still better that the MK23!!). The plastic slide means the blowback isn't as strong as other pistols and the lack of heft when it doesn't have a magazine in it bothers me. Also the single action/double action function isn't as realistic as the VFC version of the same gun (which also feels better due to the metal slide). However for a usable skirmish pistol in the winter months the only other GBB pistol that comes close is the TM HK45 and that isn't as good as the magazines have less capacity (both in terms of gas and BBs) and it isn't optic ready.

AlphaBear Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 For me it was a toss up between a TM FNX45 and the TM HK45. Then @Lex Danglercame along dangling he's HK45 at me which frankly was a great deal (thank you sir) and I couldn't resist. I blame @herosharkfor swaying me towards HK porn If I could grab a FNX45 in black (with a suppressor I'd have pondered that as I've just heard such good things about them ....@Lex Danglergrab one dude and then when you get bored of it, I'll have it off you.... but in black not that Hasbro tan colour <insert throwing up emoji> ((As they say in Star Wars..... That's no moon its a TM .... Move along nothing to see its a TM, look sir it's a TM (not a droid... ))
MadMole Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 TM MK23. As its non Blow back doesn't even waste gas pushing the slide back
Davegolf Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Co2 Shadow, 75 whole hearted shots - in the middle of winter ?
gunbod007 Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 TM and leave the slide plastic, helps with the cold weather performance and higher RoF
emilianoksa Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Well somebody had to say it so I suppose it falls to me: TM hi capa. Simple single action mechanism means there isn't much to go wrong. And it is easy to fix if it does.

I think my decision has been made, just got to sell a few bits and bobs and I'll be getting one, in black of course, that's a no brainer ?♂️ I'm with you on that awful tan colour! I will report back with my thoughts on it and I'll let you know IF I get bored of it ?
