The seller wants £300 for a used G&G rifle you can get for £290 from Patrol Base and £60 for a used torch retailing for £55.

 

Also after £100 for an unbranded two-tone "1911" that I'm pretty sure is a Hi-Capa (possibly WE Tech) with the base plate the wrong way round or the mag's been inserted incorrectly.

Not only has his pisstake gone up to £360 for the Warthog, he also exposed his gun as being a resprayed two-tone without disclosing it in the description so what else is he not being honest about?

 

You can't unsee the two-tone once you look at the stock. 🤦‍♂️

I was hoping to buy another gun he was selling which, on closer inspection of the pictures, looked like it might have been painted.  When I asked him about it and mentioned that the G&G one was being discussed, he denied that it was painted and asked why it would matter if it was originally two-toned.

 

At that point, I ended the conversation.

And to me personally the stupid thing is that the AEG isn't even worth £290 new, in that this is crazy money for an AEG with a very basic inline MOSFET, there's no optical cycle control so you could still easily get jams on semi. £300 would get you a nice new AEG with at least a GATE Aster in it 🙄

The MP5 that he mentions is a JG MC51; it was the one I was going to buy until I suspected that it had been painted as well.  He got rather upset when I asked about that.

It looks it from the Airsoft Hub post. Blue paint can be seen on the handguard and the stock looks like uneven spraying.

 

He sounds like he's trying to deflect and gaslight in implying it makes no difference if it was originally two-tone. It made a difference to him not to be two-tone when he painted the damn thing.

Didn't even use a decent paint, way too shiny, not even slightly close to the receiver shade.🤢

put a £200 stock pistol in a case with £150 in mags and some vaguely worded cheap upgrades and it’s worth £500 second hand 🙈

 

if he itemised it properly, I might be wrong and it could be £750 of kit new… but I suspect the upgraded hop, springs and barrel aren’t going to add £200 to the  value of the kit.
