      Yeah EAG.

      Whats traditional airsoft?

Been to Dorking quite a few times, and its no less Airsoft than other sites I have been too.

It may just be from my experience, but the games were so short and pretty much paintball with bb's. I personally think that airsoft should be longer games over a wider area, which happens at the sites I go to (except CQB).

Im not trying to start an argument or anything but just when I went, the three times I felt like it wasnt anything like my usual sites. Maybe 3 times wasnt long enough to make a judgement. Or maybe the sites improved.

Im just not sure what what the difference is between a paintball game and airsoft. Dorking has been no different to me to the other outdoor site I play at. Some of the games can be short depending on what types they pay, others can be a long slog fighting through the forest and villages..

  3. Not saying I wouldn't strut around my site like a peacock wearing it.. Just that it probably wouldn't be my no1 headwear when playing. But you are onto something, although getting a display piece past the Mrs wouldn't be as easy as an airsoft helmet My nerd shelves are pretty full already
  4. I still REALLY want one of those helmets but cannot justify the price as Im not sure they are really skirmishable. I dont think I would get on with it, It would look awesome on display (which is why I want one mostly if im honest)
  5. Likey the triple M4 pouch. Just what I need for my lasted loadout idea
  6. Dont wana give too much away, not even got the rifle yet. But was brainstorming earlier. If I can get the rifle I want, and the changes on it I want I know what to ask him to do
  7. Gona defo use Geartec soon. No idea what to do though, just want something different. May go totally crazy, I do have one or two ideas
  8. Out of interest did you get a reply? if so whats the ballpark figure for one? I am really interested but do not use BookFace and wondered if they were in my price range ..
  9. Bagged a pouch of the Bay of E which is molle, but has no straps attached, just the slots like my PC, apart from cable ties which I dont really want to use, is there a simple way of attching what is efectively molle to molle?

  10. Saw this... http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/teenage-paintballer-needs-emergency-surgery-after-suffering-serious-liver-injury-during-game/ar-BBsGXXt?li=BBoPRmx&ocid=mailsignout The comment at the end is potentially worrying.. Something else for people to want to ban, never mind hundreds of people kill themselves whilst falling off ladders etc and we dont ban them L(

      Lozart

We don't ban ladders but we do have Health and Safety legislation that tries to ensure people know how to use them safely. If you enter into an "adventure sport" activity without properly protecting yourself then you only have yourself to blame.

Oh I know all about H&S Loz..has been the bane of my working life in almost every job I have had. Was just using that as an example. Its one case like this which bring certain people out with petitions and trying to blanket ban things which is never good for our hobby!

  11. First visit to The Mall in over 6 months. Had fun but was quite disappointed, lots of cheating and faaar too many people for my liking.. The staff did address issues so not the sites fault about the cheating, just a lot of dicks about that day :(

I honestly love the Sundays in there. If you are finding there is too many people then take a road less travelled. That's the great thing about the site, there are so many routes possible. Can't wait for the 11th to see what it's like on a smaller scale with some different gametypes.

We did flank off and look for smaller groups. Just prefer cqb with smaller groups to be honest. Like I say, I still had lots of fun.

  12. A load of black pouches for my new vest, looking super leet for my next CQB game now. Found a C Clip for my hop up so I have fixed my Raider woo.... Next on the list is a new Primary!

Federal law state 18+ to buy, plus the child's mother was aware the boy may have left the house with it...

Don't be a dick applies to both of them - thankfully no fatality.

But mum could do with some common sense parenting skills perhaps

Agree with the parental comment totally. Monty, I work with children and young people, most (including myself at that age) have a run mentality. They think they can outrun/hide from the coppers. Slightly different out there as the copper dont need to chase you, just pop one in your leg. But when in an area you know its easy to think you can escape.

Totally agree though, 99% of these police shootings could be stopped if they perp drops the weapon like they are told too, im sure theres a p...

  14. Productive day at Pro Airsoft yesterday. Got the pouches for my new Vest looking super Leet now and picked up a clip for my hop up which I lost :)

  17. Totally agree. I dislike that place big time, but we tend to go every once in a while as its near and we do have a laugh, but cant take it as seriously as other sites
  18. "repair it"?? Surely you just want the item you ordered? this is what you need to be telling them.
  19. A lot of the time retailers wouldn't know or care about compatibility, like baz mentioned I have seen plenty of websites not just airsoft ones list the bare minimum of info clearly copied and pasted from a foreign manufacturer as spelling and wording makes little sense (much like my posts) with an almost disregard to the item itself. It does make me think I dont want the item as often it doesn't tell you what you need to know. And yeah we could ask them, but many a time its some numpty with no clue telling you to refer to the description or unable to find out as they dont speak Chinese. I guess thats why sites such as uktactical do so well as instead of stocking the same old from everyone else and having a crappy website chocked full of random parts with no info (wolf armouries) they do a limited selection and do it well.
  20. I prefer Mids as it has helped me to pick my targets more carefully and preserve ammo. I used to be a sprayer and putting down untold rounds onto positions just because I could but quickly realised this was no fun and kind of pointless as the rest of the team tended not to use the suppressive fire and move onto the target so now Im more sneaky and mostly stick to semi auto picking targets I can hit.
  21. I kind of get what the OP is saying. Im by no means a seasoned 'Softer' but have had many a browse online at retailers shops, and I agree. They do tend to stock the same products. So much so that now I feel I have seen it all. I only look for when I know I want something rather than a impromptu peruse . The same brands, the same variations and even all sell out of the same stock. But when we are after something we all seem to look further afield or buy off of each other. I totally get retail and supply and demand etc. But there is surely a market for an UK Based alternative Airsoft retailer who will buck the trend and A) know their stock compatibility have those extra bits we will always seem to want/need C) ship them quickly and hassle free As mentioned though one of the problems is the sheer number of variations and parts available. A bit like Baz I have also bought a couple of the same products because they didnt quite work or fit with how I wanted to use them which is quite annoying.
  22. Not a Bookface user but a good idea!!
  23. I am surprised as mall usually insist guns are dry fired once mags are out when you walk past them.. I dont think eye pro should be mandatory in a safe zone.. Its the once place I can actually take off my eye pro and rub my eyes / de-mist goggles / wipe sweat out of mesh etc.. I wouldnt want to have to go outside at the mall every time I needed to take them off as I find wearing eye pro an annoyance personally.
