Not come across this before but sounds fun.
Must admit the only exercises I've done at home is shooting in the garden or garage to practice accuracy or check my sights are 0'd.

I've done a few drills with my son- found the proper drills on YouTube, then tried to replicate them using things in the garden!
    He's much better than me!!

Oh so spot on , if your playing a mil-sim or even film-sim game where everyone’s running low/real capacity magazines and actively managing there ammo then yes I could see pretty much any kind of professional training really helping your game , but not on a ‘normal’ walk on gameday . As trigger said when you’ve got adrenaline pumped players running around with a rental AK and a 600rd hi-cap hosing the crap out of anything AND everything they can see then tactics become bit of a moot point ?
But yea I’m not saying don’t attended a training day by any stretch , all I’m saying is be prepared to need a very big pinch of salt to go with what your being told , and just enjoy it for what it is .

Just looked on the Specna FB page. Lots of wannabe Colombo's and people acting like it's going to be the end of airsoft. Thank fuck this place is a bit calmer
Tbh it was more likely bad luck. Thieving cunts cut the sides of curtain sided trailers to see if there's anything worth knicking

If you want to do the training because you will enjoy the experience then go ahead but if you expect it to improve your game you will just waste money to be honest. In my experience people who try the real world room clearance stuff are actually at a disadvantage as the steady controlled aspect does not suit airsoft at all. Real world stuff is based on the fact of tension and the fear of death or taking a life so they expect some hesitation.  But when facing 16yr olds hopped up on monster it becomes about reactions and you will get rinsed.

Airsoft room clearance and cqb is a war of attrition where it is about fast movement and faster reactions. Clearing a room is about going in fast probably dying but hoping to take someone with you and lessening the bodies in the room or even better just chucking grenades in. Without grenades a couple of good players can hold a room against overwhelming numbers for a very lengthy amount of time.

I have seen so many players and teams try the whole tactical bit and inevitably they get rinsed and generally get upset and most often are the biggest arses on site.

Well, the simplest way to git gud at room clearing is to John Wick in while shouting "You missed, you missed, I didn't feel it, gun hit, didn't feel it, missed."

My very mild concern about actually paying for training to play pretend soldiers with toys is that it might - might, not saying that it does - indicate a predilection for winning the game rather than playing the game.

I'm thinking of a couple of players I've met who took it all far too seriously, and ended up flouncing or being kicked out of the hobby.

All that said, I would be interested in doing such a training day, if only to see how well it really works in airsoft versus fearless rentals and pre-firing speedy bois.

bang for your buck a cyma is a really good bet. Every Thompson is a TM clone other than the WE GBBR. i would warn the ergonomics are awful and the real steel guns were design by a big guy for big guys so you might have issues with stock length.

Room clearing drill: pull, throw.  Frag self, get mediced, repeat.

The issue I have with these courses is: who's training you, and are they training you to play airsoft against rental chavs, or to murderise insurgents up a treat (and then you get rinsed by rental chavs).

I've seen a few of these advertised on Failbook, typically promoted as being run by an ex-Delta Special Ranger SAS Force Operator.  When I've asked how they've established said person's bona fides to be sure that they're not just some grifting Walt, it's been crickets, blocking, or the claim suddenly alters.

Yes, he's ex-military but that doesn't mean he's a CQB expert. Plus it's more of the same "CHEETER EXPOSED!!!!!" "EX SQUADDIE DESTROYS AT AIRSOFT" clickbait bullshit.

Personally, I'd recommend this guy https://www.youtube.com/user/rwiley1690 (active duty SWAT officer that also plays airsoft) or these guys

If you're not playing as a team then you'll learn about as much that's useful on You Tube.

Room clearing drills and tactics are all about teamwork, on your own, once you've learnt the basics of the fatal funnel and pieing corners you're pretty much covered.

Why people need in excess of 1 hour for a lunch break at a game day.

Adult players who get angry when younger/new players are confused or maybe staying a little behind so they dont get hit as much. I don't get what they gain from shouting at these newer players to push up while they themselves, in all their gucci gear, are the furthest back.

But most of all, people who pre-fire the hell out of CQB like its CSGO. Pet hate of mine, don't understand what they really gain from it other than looking like a knob and using a load of ammo/gas. Luckily it seems to be mostly a stateside thing, along with their bang bang rule.

Its when you hear the "5.56 would have torn through those leaves!" yes but we're not playing with real ammo are we otherwise I think there wouldnt be an issue with the hit calling 😂

Not a single one of my RIF's has a mosfet ( more bloody electronics to go wrong , I hate tech ! ) and they all run 7.4 Lipo's . Biggest thing to be aware of is not over discharging the battery. If I use the same gun all day I change the battery at lunch time.

Most of, if not all ?, of my guns are older generation kit, before mosfets became a "thing", & I run them all on 7.4 lipo's without any issues, did have an 11.1 but stopped using it as it spun everything waay to quickly for my liking.

I guess 7.4v LiPos won’t hurt right? 🤔 As long as you use them correctly I guess they should be ok. Correct me if wrong though.

@Adolf Hamster has already mentioned late starts and overly long briefs. If you need a special brief for newbs/rental, do it separately, tell them to come earlier, I don’t care, but don’t take 1hr for a brief just because you need to explain fundamental principles of shooting BBs to 5 people when the party is 120 strong.

I don’t get power players, hyped up on adrenaline, who consistently do not take their shots and jump left and right dodging BBs when they get visibly and audibly hit then banged with a frag (or a few). Goddamn John Wick wannabes. What’s the point? You wanna piss off a few other guys so they spray you till you take your hits? Bad outcome for everyone.
