  1. I like it. It's the anti-camouflage of the times, and it's digital design brings a much needed variety to the field IMO, to break up the MTP.

    RiF loopholes

I think we should be vary careful with some of the advice being given here... OP - I'm sure you're a good kid and your brother will help keep you out of trouble and all. But you're looking for loopholes right from the off, and that sets alarm bells off in my head. So, however you might end up owning a RIF, please use it sensibly too - as well as legally. A RIF + violent crime is not the only way to have a bad day, as these lads found out: http://home.bt.com/news/uk-news/firearms-alert-triggered-in-stoke-on-trent-by-teenagers-bb-guns-11363996407884
  3. For a few reasons, it'd be - King of Wishful Thinking - Go West.
  4. Or... Chavs defending the fuel depot so their old Civics and Clio Sports have somewhere to 'fill-up' with £8 worth of petrol on a Friday for their bi-weekly 'cruise'.
  5. This is an interesting idea. I do think that a re-branding is worth thinking about, but with caution...
  6. This isn't a myth peddled by the avon sales reps is it - like when the Cif stand in Aldi told me that Cif by the pallet load could also de-spider your garden, and leave it smelling lemon-fresh to boot?
  7. As airsoft sites have few other means of compelling people to do things, when it comes to enforcing one of the most fundamental safety rules-I say humiliation as described here is ok and appropriate.
  8. This wasn't me, but we had just started a round and there was quite a steep and long slope down from our ridge to the playing area, and it had rained all night. This un-slender chap starts going down, and towards the top slips and lands with a massive thud on his back side and slips down about half a metre. But rather than face the indignity of trying to get up on a slippy slope with nothing to hold, he paused, started using his feet, and tobogganed on his rear-end down the remaining 10 metres or so yelling "banzai!" Suffice to say, he styled out of his fall like a pro in my opinion.
  9. The old McKechnie Brass works... We used to go past it all the time on the way to my nans, it's a sprawling place. The Council are still trying to find somebody to demolish it to attract re-development, so playing there before it's gone would be fantastic. http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/mckechnie-brass-ltd-aldridge-march-2014.t88731
  10. Loss, over damage might be the biggest risk? Whatever you get, be mindful that when you run, crouch and fall, it might find itself out of some places. And even if you call it after, a puddle of mud can be quite the ringtone insulator. A good Lanyard might help mitigate this.
  11. A HPA regulator, and they sent the wrong one, a mask fan, and they sent the wrong one (as they no longer stocked the one i'd ordered and paid for apparently), and some clothing - which they got right. The customer service starred out ok with issues, and the exchange for the right tank bit was fine, but I don't think they were straight with me about refunds on the second (namely, saying it had happened days before, with my bank account clearly not receiving it...). But the tank issue was a few years ago now, and the fan/clothing last year so I might just have gotten unlucky I guess.
  12. I've ordered from them three times now (as the only UK retailer for a few things), and twice they cocked up. The second time the refund was a long wait, with BS from them before hand.
  13. Yep. The sales talk says it shifts weight across the back, shoulders and hips, and is indeed adjustable with a hand thing.
  14. You might if it's the legoland giant mars bar. The Lego cooperation are ruthless in their pursuit of "justice".
  15. flecktarn.co.uk have XXL boonies in stock.
  16. "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." Pre-Katie Hopkins thinking.
  17. Are we looking at different things?>> http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/s_to_u/sentencing_manual/section_16a_firearms_act/
  18. Although one element of law may define airsoft weapons in a certain way as not firearms, that does not mean that firearms legislation doesn't apply, in fact sometimes just the opposite. Just as an example, the offence of "Possession of firearm with intent to cause fear of violence" says: It is an offence for a person to have in his possession any firearm or imitation firearm with intent... blah blah blah. I think the main thing here is that as far as I know, none of us are lawyers, and the chap's been advised not to go near airsoft, and however odd that is (given as mentioned, he can still use a crossbow) he should follow the guidance.
  19. Fair dos, but... Can I caution against some of this. Sections of this tell the reader that the poorly regulated RIF market has lethal weapons being imported to the UK all the time and a cold day means that safety certainty disappears. I know that's not what you're saying and mean this as a critical friend/constructive criticism, but the reader may be- 1 speed reading 2 poorly informed and without context beyond your letter 3 in a bad mood 4 with a loaded perspective against airsoft So it might not help overall, if you know what I mean?
  20. I think this specifically highlights that it does not wish to make life harder for legit airsofters. Generally, the tone and focus behind this seem to be a fair approach accommodating (and clearly expressing an openness to allow exemptions for Airsoft weapons where legislative changes may have an impact) our sport. I would encourage any who wish to contribute to the consultation to do so with appropriate levels of respect, and constructive comments. I've seen elsewhere people getting all clucked up on this without actually reading the document, and we really don't need the law society getting abusive rambling letters leading them to think airsofters are all whacked out nut jobs.
  21. Is he forbidden from play totally then, even with a rental on a site he'd still get locked up if they caught him? Coppers and law-types have curious logic at times.
  22. My recommendation:Kid, please, do things in real life smarter, wiser and nicer than any of your current attitude here.
