A strong magnet usually works to hold the Anti-Reveral latch in place. Put the magnet on the underside of the left receiver shell (the side where the gears are placed when assembling) over the hole where you insert the ARL. Makes life a lot easier.

Would a VPN not work to bypass the Parental restrictions? You might need to pay for the service, but he could install the client (hiding any desktop shortcuts) and use it to connect to the internet bypassing the Router restrictions.

Whilst I agree with your sentiment generally about Nuprol, this particular charger is actually reasonably decent - it's a rebranded 'GT Power' unit that is sold under various brands such as Overlander, Konect and RC Plus. If my only use for it was to charge a couple of Airsoft batteries, and I already bought/owned it, then I would keep using it - there be little gain switching to another brand.

The latter half of the season really picks up pace and was the most entertaining thing I've seen in ages. I rated it better than Reacher, which I also really enjoyed. The action is really cool - you can see that they had real SEALs teaching the gunfighting skills. The movements were much more deliberate and methodical compared to the John Wick high-speed style of action (which was driven by a 3-gun competition guy). Nothing wrong with John Wick mind, the Chapter 4 trailer looks amazeballs.

Pretty damned awesome day at UCAP Valiant today. Some of the best airsoft I've played in years. It was a last minute idea to go there - I was going to take my boys to Camouflage Airsoft near Bournemouth Airport but the online bookings closed on Sat.) - but I am so glad we ended up at Dorchester Prison. If you've not experienced the venue, it's absolutely worth going to experience it at least once.

Final update. The gun now has a Franken-Torque motor with approximately 28TPA - using a SHS High Speed neo magnet can, with a G&G Combat Machine 18k Armature, end bell and pinion. It was absolutely superb all day today playing semi-only at UCAP Valiant. It shot accurately (still running the stock hop rubber), consistently, with an excellent trigger response and it never skipped a beat. Power consumption (and heat) was massively reduced compared to the stock motor and it was pretty efficient on batteries - 2x 1300Mah 3S LiPos were used - I changed midway through the day as a precautionary measure. It's genuinely my favorite gun at the moment - the bigger EVE-9 is definitely on my to-buy list now.

Bloody hell - That's a decent price if it's properly rated. The Valken-badged version of this cost me £30 and replacement lenses seemed a bitch to get hold of. I live literally 2mins drive from the Christchurch store (In-Excess is a local company to me - head office is 30mins up the road in Salisbury) so I will have a look to see if they have any in stock.

ICS? I've become a bit of a fan of ICS M4s (got three) over the last year or so. Compression parts can be serviced in under 15mins. They are generally decent performers out of the box.

That is a very good point. It's interesting that even with the ebb and flow of users over the years, it's managed to (just about) hold the delicate balance of piss-taking and education without becoming something altogether more...churlish. No - it doesn't fit on to a RIS rail. It uses a dovetail unique to G36s. Even then, this is airsoft, they are not always an interchangeable fit between manufacturers.

Sell the Raider. Buy the wild hog. Simple. Buying a new front end for your gun will be costly and you wont recover that money if/when you come to sell. G&G hop units are fine, as is their hop rubbers. The tin foil barrel is the issue. Bin it for a ZCI or similar.

I've hear a vice and a Drift Pin/Punch might be able to do it, but I've always used an Element Pinion Puller/Installer that I picked up 10+years ago which makes light work of the job. Good luck. Hopefully you'll have a usable motor out of it.
