Well, as the front sight (where it attaches to) is the same part number between the older MX5 and the newer CES-P, I would say yes - it should be compatible.

TM 'Old Skool Plastic' or NGRS? Are TM NGRS magazines even available on our shores at the moment? Personally, I would go ICS purely because a) With exception to TM, they have been producing MP5s longer than any other manufacturer in airsoft, B) spare parts are doddle to get from Fire-Support. C) The CES-P has a stamped steel receiver D) it has the SSS V2 electronics (hair trigger) and finally D) it's £200 cheaper than the TM NGRS. I've seen so many cosmetically broken Cymas (Mag releases, cocking handles and stock arms) now, that I would never bother with them. Something aint right with that Cyma one in the classifieds - The plastics have been resprayed at some point. Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Umarex owns the rights to H&K Trademarks for Airsoft and Rimfire stuff. It means that they can in theory pursue any retailer selling H&K Trademarked Airsoft guns that they did not 'produce'* themselves. It's also why anything other than officially licensed Glocks are not available with most retailers in the US - the outline of the very pistol itself was also copyrighted - so manufacturers produced 'G type' guns that sort of look like a glock if you squint a bit from a distance. Tokyo Marui stuck the H&K logos on their guns anyway...because they can - there very little in the way of copyright enforcement in Japan and TM only really produces guns for their home market. Rest of world is dealt with by wholesalers and intermediaries that, depending on which the retailer uses, will keep or remove the trademarks. *Umarex produce nothing themselves, instead using S&T, Ares and VFC as OEMs to produce their H&K models with trademarks applied, and pass the juicy markup for doing so onto the consumer.

Did you not open the box to check? I mean If I received a £500+ gun I would be closely inspecting it and using Distance Selling rules if it was anything less than perfect to send the fecker back. Anyway - I would send the entire receiver to be cerakoted if you want a 'factory finish'. Otherwise - break out the krylon/halfords camo and DEVGRU/CAG paint the thing for cool kid points.

Table Top skirmish game for Kids?
Speedbird_666 replied to Speedbird_666's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I'll have you know that I was victorious! - Gonk's SnotHunters defeated the evil forces of the Black Assassins when Snotgrass the Green (notice a theme here?) caused catastrophic damage with his longbow whilst Gonk and his cohorts rushed in to the fray with their melee weapons. Seriously though - my son loved it. Being able to create characters and a simple, but scalable, set of rules meant that the games were fast and more importantly - fun. It might not suit more advanced players, but for kids and their (non gamer) parents it's a pretty good place to start, especially with the YT videos that the author posted. I've ordered a rolled Terrain mat and my son has started scribbling ideas for scenery. He's been watching loads of YT vids on making various ruined buildings and rocks etc. As someone that does a bit of model making (of the static but mostly the RC Plane kind) I've got a few XPS foam sheets to hack up, roll tin foil over, texture/seal and then paint. -

Already did this morning - he's sent me various files including a PDF version of the book, which is handy to print off the templates. -

The Weekend Warriors rule book arrived yesterday - my son is proper excited reading through it and he's started thinking about his warband and the scenario that we play. First game is this evening. -

I have an Ender V2. I printed a new PSU cover and replaced the fan with a Noctua (there are plenty of files on thingiverse). Never had a problem with cooling thereafter and it was much quieter. Cost the grand sum of £15 at the time IIRC. The printers do wear out though - my V2 worked happily for over a year before it started struggling with print quality. Gave it a full re-build (replacing the bowden tube, print head fans and nozzle), bought some new filament (mine was getting old) and it's been working alright still 8 or so months later - although I don't use it nearly as much as my energy bill is now just over £400 a month...😩 It's a very decent printer with a little bit of work. BL/CR Touch and a PEI bed do also help with the user experience.

Pretty sure S&T is the OEM for the Specna G36s. The also OEM some of the 'sportline' H&K licensed guns for Umarex along with the ARX-160. No ETU in Specna guns - it's shit marketing talk for 'microswitch trigger'. Full breakdown of the Specna G36 internals can be found here WE (yes that WE) make an AEG G36 that looks pretty nice available here for £170 - bog standard V3 internals but better plastics and construction compared to JG et al.

Aliexpress and going 'manufacturer' route

Trirock operate as an Amazon Seller in the UK - whilst more expensive, some of the product range is available is fulfilled in the UK and next day if you are a Prime customer. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?i=merchant-items&me=A1U4QU6OMEB9GE&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P&qid=1673688995&ref=sr_pg_1 TBH, I'm in the market for a 7in MLOK NSR Rail - I am tempted to take a punt at ordering from them directly. -
I might try a 5kg bag out. Been quite enjoying Geoffs recently but could do with restocking my stash.

Great info - thanks! Perhaps a Dungeon Crawler style game with a more defined board would work - he loves traditional board games too so it might just bridge that gap. -

Thanks - worth a punt for a fiver! I'll order it when I get home from work later. I've also just found 'Weekend Warriors' designed specifically for kids: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Weekend-Warriors-Ultimate-Tabletop-Skirmish/dp/B09K1XCSPY -
Ok - figured I ask here as the Airsoft demographic will likely cross-over to gaming My youngest son (aged 10) is obsessed with the idea of playing table top games like 40K et al. Problem is - he (and I to be frank) gets frustrated by often extensive rules that seem to bog down the gameplay. We have the 40k Recruit edition, but spend more time looking in the rule book scratching heads than actually playing. Not having grown up with Table Top gaming myself, nor find it especially interesting (I rather shoot people with plastic BBs but I do like the modelling/painting aspect) I'm struggling a bit - but as a Dad I have to take it for the team. Does anyone know of a simple skirmish ruleset that we can use to keep the gameplay flowing with a handful of miniatures (to keep costs under control)? My son want to make his own scenery (he's pretty artistic and imaginative and I'd enjoy making it too). Not fussed if it's Sci-Fi or Fantasy. Cheers.

What brand Packs? I've had HobbyKing Turnigys do this randomly despite taking good care of the packs (storage and balance charging with a high-end charger). Was your gun stored indoors (i.e. room temperature) or in an outbuilding/shed where it's colder? I would drop the pack into a bucket of salt water for a few days then bin it - I don't think the B6 has LiPo destroy function (although I would argue that B6's have a secret, randomly initiated, self-destruct function...😜)

It's been up for sale before - the new owner obviously added new straps: I don't think £40 is too bad for a legit custom chest rig TBH. -

Please tell me that's going on a nice Air Rifle or powder burner? That's way too lovely to strap onto a LARPsoft BBWarz blaster. -
It's great that you actually got the gun back, but as others have said - name and shame. 10 months not even opening the parcel is a really dick move.

SOLD I have listed this gun as boneyard because it's over 10 years old, not been serviced in the last 6 years, and not been used for the last 3, so it could really do with a tear-down, inspection and re-grease. It has mainly used as a backup/loaner. To be clear - this is an all-plastic gun (receiver & rail) that's built like a tank and is heavier than a lot of metal guns (looking at you Specna). The polymer used is better than any G&G and only really rivaled by KWA's latest KO offerings. It is functional, and was last chrono'd at ~325FPS. The good: - Structurally sound - OEM'd by Lonex, so Lonex/Ultimate branded internals - Lonex Metal Hop unit & Steel barrel The not so good: - The gun's original wiring made it impossible to remove the GB without de-pinning the Tamiya connectors, so it was re-routed down the buffer tube (there was a recoil version of this gun so the wires were routed on the underside of the buffer tube), however a channel had to be dremeled inside the receiver for said wires. It does not affect the integrity in any way and cannot be seen from the outside. - The steel parts have very light surface corrosion - nothing a bit of wire wool and oil wouldn't fix - There is a detachable rail missing on one side (screws are still there). I'll try and find it before sending, but no guarantees. - The gun was originally EBB with a moving mock bolt - but the shuttle connecting the piston to the mock bolt was made of cheese so self-destructed after the few hundred rounds (later versions of the gun has steel shuttles and BO sold them as upgrades). The mock bolt still functions with charging handle and can still be locked back with the bolt release. - Meh Motor - works out roughly 28TPA so slow on a 7.4v LiPo but snappy enough on 11.1v. SOLD I have here a 100% complete Specna (sort of) Edge - some assembly required - all parts to complete are included. When I say 'Sort of' Edge - it's a Specna Edge metal body, rail, outer/inner barrel, hop unit etc. but the caveat is that the pile-o-shite Orion gearbox was sacked off and replaced with a complete E&C gearbox, with a couple of component swaps (nozzle/piston/piston head/spring/spring guide). Stock/Grip/Motor are all out of my spares box and are not Specna in Origin. Everything is structurally sound - no cracks, deep scratches or stripped threads from what I can see. The gun has been painted by me - turns out that Specna's 'Nano-bollocks' paint that they use for their receivers is nano-thin and susceptible to destroying itself in a slightly humid conditions - like being in the same room as a tumble-dryer. I had to strip back a lot of the original paint (which wasn't hard as a Sharpie leaves a thicker finish) so I used the gun to dick around with my new airbrush. It's had a couple of coats of paint, plus some ultra-matte varnish on top, but it's not the most hard-wearing finish (there's a few little marks already) so I would recommend attacking it with some Halfords Matte Lacquer if you want to keep that 'wannabe Geartech/Negative Airsoft but nowhere near as good' paint job I've applied. Again - all components to reassemble and produce a fully-functioning gun are here. Or don't reassemble and split the parts for something else. Up to you, I don't care. I've never liked the gun so I'll be glad to make some room getting rid of it. Caveat Emptor/Sold as seen.NO VALUE SPECIFIED

But what would happen if you bought a 20Kg bag and found they were wank? Surely you would buy a small pack to test first before going balls-deep bulk buying? - otherwise you could be left with 19.95kg of useless plastic.
