You could certainly try - I mean TommyBuilt G36s and UMPs are made by reworking the plastic of the civilian H&K models - welding new sections of receiver together. There are quite a few videos on YouTube about using a soldering iron to weld broken plastic pieces together. It would probably look a bit gopping on your first go, but you could use a cheap 2nd hand G36 stock to practice on. Just try it in a well ventilated area.

Had the same issue with the G&G UMP I owned a good while back - the length of pull was too much for what is ultimately a CQB gun. Ended up selling it because of the stock. I know there are 3d-printed buffer tube adapters about - but I have no idea if they are compatible with the Double Eagle version.

I know they've hit UK shores, but has anyone on here had chance to play with the new Gate Pulsar HPA Engine? Seems like a better value HPA engine with some decent features.

Is Green ops worth a visit? It's about ~90mins from me but I would like to give the site a try at some point this year. Sounds like it's a compact/small woodlands site but I should think that it would be quite good fun to play. -

And there was me, less than happy giving GZ £13 to do mine. Sounds like I got a steal compared to you. -
Yeh - it's a fantastic venue and well worth a visit. Best played 'light' IMO, i.e. minimal gear and with 3-4 mid-caps, I would leave the plate carriers at home (a cheapo Viper Vx Spiritus clone chest rig works well) and avoid belt rigs altogether because you'll make a lot of noise bashing into cell doors etc. If you can keep quiet and resist the urge to shoot every target of opportunity, you can do some epic flanking moves on the other team. And more importantly; Greggs is only a 2 minute walk at lunch time.

Shame - although can't complain too much, we have quite a few sites within about an hour's travel radius (UCAP Valiant, Bunker, Ironsight, Spec Ops, Ambush, Bravo Romeo, South Coast CQB, Camouflage and GZ off the top of my head).
-
Interesting - is it local to the Dorset/Hants area?

And hills. And narrow tracks. And the box-mag heroes that lock down said tracks from the top of the said hills who are almost completely invisible because of the said rhododendron bushes that basically stop gameplay completely dead. I miss the Sopley Urban GZ site. Much better value in terms of trigger time, gameplay and excitement. And they were strict on the chrono too. Good times.
-
I have played GZ maybe a dozen times over the years since 2005. Never chrono'd once. Ever. I don't play there anymore - even though it's my 'local' site 15-20mins down the road.

Yeh - there's no such thing as a 'stock shimming' other than what's bespoke to your particular gun at the point of manufacturing. You could buy five identical guns from the same manufacturer and not one will be the same when it comes to the number of shims in the gearbox. It's not a dark art, it just requires a little patience and you don't need to be absolutely perfect for UK power levels and relatively 'standard' out of the box performance (High power and high speed performance setups obviously need more care). Gawd knows how many Chinasoft guns have arrived in the UK with barely any semblance of shimming that have spent years being abused by punters as site rentals and are still going strong. Too tight= bad, too loose=bad, but the band in the middle allows for some wiggle room. There are people that take genuine pleasure in getting the gear meshing absolutely perfect - fair play - but I'm not one of them and I have yet to strip a gear. But I also don't any desire for a 400fps DMR or have any interest in 35+RPS burrrrrrrrrp guns.

Yes I have - some (older style) buffer tubes fit - the receiver extension is quite long so many newer style ones won't work because the screw plate is too far forward inside the buffer tube (to maximise battery space) so you can't tighten it up. The PDW stock is actually pretty good with an extension. I disliked it at first but have grown to like it quite a bit, very easy/quick battery change. I'm not planning to change it now.

This. 7 Years ago - when I finally realised that I was in real trouble - I was £23k in debt with Credit Cards. Luckily I was (just about) paying the minimum payment on time (so no late payments or defaults), but those minimum payments were skyrocketing, interest free offers were ending, and I was struggling. Thing is - my Wife had no idea I was in debt. It was when she found out that I had to confront the issue and acknowledge what an idiot I had been - all to buy the shiny newest thing and get the dopamine hit of receiving parcels in the post. I was deeply unhappy with my job which compounded the issue as I would sit at work browsing for stuff to buy rather than...y'know...working. It was all the more galling that I had literally nothing to show for it - I would buy stuff then sell it before I even used it (that includes Paintball and Airsoft gear). The proceeds of the sales would just get frittered away on more random and pointless crap - and never to tackle the Credit Card debt that was steadily accruing. I was very lucky. My Wife didn't divorce me (but it was close) - I don't know where I would be today if she had. I was able to change jobs and dramatically increase my income. Every spare penny went into repaying the debt - and it took 5 years - but for the last 2 years I have not owed a penny to anyone and I am determined to keep it that way. It can be done - I would also suggest taking a look at the 'Debt Free Wannabe' section of the Money Saving Expert forums, it helped us to identify the best course of action for the circumstances I landed myself (and family) in. -

Those mags look great in the UTR45. It was the chonky mags that put me off the gun, but MP5 mags are much more practical. -

Lovely gun - but that Red Dot is gopping. -
That's....a big step up from something like an Ender. Be prepared to learn Klipper/Mainsail and spend a quite some time tuning for best performance. Voron-based designs don't necessarily print better than cheaper printers, but they are a whole lot faster - and that's where the tuning and testing come in with factors like input shaping and resonance compensation etc. I was considering a Voron Switchwire conversion of my Ender 3 V2, even built out and used the Voron fan duct assembly for some time. Once I did all the costings of the linear rails, belts and other sundries needed, I kinda lost interest because I could buy another printer for the same money. I know the print are is smaller, but have you considered the Prusa Mini+?

You could trim the broken spring end and bend another coil out with needle nose pliers as a stopgap. I've done that before. It will put a bit more tension on the tappet though during cycling. -
You must be the same RM29 that messaged me on the AirgunForums. Glad to see you registered. Anyway - welcome.

HPA player aims for guns and equipment rather than heads and faces. Still complains. 😏 Same site? did you report it to the staff? Did they chrono-check person responsible? Perhaps NERF would be a more appropriate pastime for you to undertake? -
For sale brand new Nuprol large metal cases have 3 £60 each No timewasters or scammers
Speedbird_666 commented on an advert in Gear
'No timewasters or scammers' - A bit rich coming from a user who's posted up tonnes of brand new kit without a single picture including a username and date on a piece of paper to prove ownership, registered only a week ago, zero feedback and zero posts outside of the classifieds. If there was a 'scammers bingo' you would be very close to winning - just need 'Bank Transfer only' to round things out.... -
Well, as the front sight (where it attaches to) is the same part number between the older MX5 and the newer CES-P, I would say yes - it should be compatible.
