I hate to say it, but I understand why H&K developed HKey. MLOK is proprietary to Magpul, and H&K would never license a product from another country, especially when H&K supply to governments that may end up on the US' shit-list. Keymod standard (which is open source) uses imperial measurements, which does not compute with our European friends. HKey is a metric equivalent to Keymod, but with some extra tweaks preventing cross-compatibility so H&K can charge $60-70usd for a teeny tiny rail section.

Doesn't help that there's Real Steel spec and Airsoft Spec KeyMod. Whoever thought that it was a good idea not to back-bevel the keys to essentially create a separate standard needs to be shot.

No way this is a metal bodied gun. You can tell the ICS plastic bodies by the rear receiver area, there's extra reinforcement around the take down pin.

Well that sounds like a complete Clusterfuck on UPS's part. I hope you get your order at some point. It could be worse - around 20 years ago (around the dawn of internet shopping) my team mate and I ordered ~$500usd of Paintball gear from the states. Never showed. No tracking number. Couldn't get a refund (no buyers protection back in those days). Seller (a major manufacturer that still exists) couldn't give a shit. We had to write off the money and forget about it. 2 years (yes, years!) later, a big box shows up at my mates house with 'Christchurch England NOT Christchurch New Zealand!' scrawled across it. Turns out it had been stuck in New Zealand customs for years because some dumb fuck in the US Paintball company warehouse forgot to write the country on the box. We've come a long way in terms of shopping since then.

Interesting - not an issue I've noticed with mine, but the gun is '104/105 based so the front sight is on the gas block? The finish of the body is too good IMO. I though most modern AKs are painted rather than blued from the many factories since the '70s. I want to paint it to make it more tacticool, but it's just too pretty to Krylon. Now, if anyone can tell me where I can lay my hands on a compatible (will LCT fit?) enhanced selector switch (with the extra finger ledge) I would be eternally grateful.

I've just got an E&L which came with a wobbly railed hand guard. I had to use washers to shim it out. The rest of the gun is lovely though.

New ICS tubular hand guard for my ICS Peleador. I think I'm going with a civilian 3-gun-esque look with this one - need to add either a T1 style red dot on a riser or a short dot scope.

Yeh, you're probably right. Luckily PayPal offers 'over and above' buyer protection. It boils my piss that there are sellers out there that will do such a thing though. If I sell something, I'm 100% honest about what I'm selling, warts'n'all listing all potential issues. The buyer can at least then make an informed decision about buying.

But does it though? The seller (rightly) listed other flaws with the gun (i.e. cracked magazine shrouds) - but neglected to mention a big show-stopper for a lot of people. That, IMO, is misrepresentation. Hopefully the buyer will raise a dispute (assuming they used PayPal). I would apoplectic with rage if this had happened to me. This x1000. Absolutely spot on. It should have absolutely been mentioned in the Advert. £800 isn't chump change, I would be livid if I was the buyer. What a dick thing for the seller to say. In fact I'd send the whole lot back and raise a PayPal dispute.

But does fitting a Titan/Perun/whatever to a V3 gearbox sort out the horrible trigger pull (at least compared to a V2)? My AK and G36 have fairly long trigger pulls, I know MP5K's are worse - so what's the point of a fancy pants ETU without a nice, short (sub-5mm) trigger pull? (Yeh yeh yeh, I get it - you'll have the fancy programming bollocks n'all that as well, but so does a Warfet)
