Is this eBay listing from Patrol Base? Because it’s selling for £830 on their site.

  2. I think this guy is already known about, but thanks for posting. It’s always better to over report these than to under report. I think a few profiles have been created using 3 letters and a bunch of random numbers. That’s a bit of a red flag for me. Most people what to have a profile name linked either to the sport or to their name. For me, I’d rather miss out on a sale if there’s anything off than to risk selling to someone who’s possibly dodgy. I have no issues going the extra mile to reassure a potential buyer and I’d expect a seller to do the same for me.

Might pick up some wood grips for my 1911 from them if they're good. Need some for my two 1911s and my ruger project which uses TM 1911 grips

If you can’t find them anywhere in the U.K. I’d say give them a shot. As I said, I’ve only used them once, but can’t fault them and that seems to be the experience of others to. Let us know how it works out.

  4. I’ve just had my first experience using Octagon Airsoft from Hong Kong and I’m very happy with the service so I’d recommend them as worth a look. I couldn’t find a VFC MP5 GBB fixed buttstock in any of my usual stores so, following a Google search and finding them in stock with Octagon I took a chance. The buttstock arrived in around 10 days without any issues, no charges, no hassle. They’re new to me and others may have more experience of their service, for better or worse, and as usual I’d recommend using PayPal or a credit card for any purchases, but I can only comment as I’ve found and I will use them again if they have something I’m after.

  5. It really depends what you want to use it for. Personally, since getting my first gas gun a few years ago, I’ve never looked back and will only get gas guns. AEG’s just lack that bit of realism that you get with a GBB. That said, I don’t really play anymore and my guns are for collection or display purposes. If you want to run a gas gun in games then you need to take into consideration it’s going to be more expensive to run and require more effort to maintain. Also, you’ll need to alter your playing style if you’re used to just running and gunning. You’ll need more magazines than you would for an AEG and because they hold less bb’s you’ll need to be more controlled in your shooting. But I’m sure you’re probably already aware of all that.

As for the WE M16A1, it’s a great rifle, but good luck getting hold of one. I’ve been on the lookout for one for over a year but they’ve not been back in stock. Unless you want to buy from abroad. You will need to keep it maintained with regular cleaning and oiling. Just think of it as a real rifle and you won’t go wrong. Bear in mind that internal parts will break, but because it’s a WE there are loads of replacement parts available. The rifle is quite light so the recoil is stronger which just adds to the realism for me.

In short, if you can find one I’d say definitely buy one. It’s a decent rifle for a first gas blowback. It was one of my first and like I say, I wouldn’t go back to AEG’s.

  6. Response edited as I hadn’t realised this guy had asked the same question in another thread.

This is subject to change. We are also importing stuff like ipsc style airsoft targets so we may be getting stuff direct from manufacturers soon

Sounds great. I’m very interested in the VFC KAC M110K1 and the Colt 733 when they are fully released, so any chance of them being sold by a U.K. seller is a good thing.

So I recently opened a business wholesale account with a view to starting an airsoft shop. In the meantime however I am planning to put together an order. If people are interested in grabbing anything let me know and I can let you know if they have it and a price. A defense will be necessary as they don't do any two tone stuff. Here is a full list of the manufacturers they have available for replicas though they also do upgrades and mags and bits from other brands.

    • JG
    • Arthurian Airsoft
    • Tokyo Marui
    • King Arms
    • GHK
    • Classic Army
    • Ares
    • Golden Eagle
    • WE
    • ASG

All the money stuff will be through paypal business.

Is this the full list of manufacturers that you will be able to get or is there a chance it could expand in future as I’m interested in a few VFC GBB’s and ArchWick’s L119A2. There’s no one in the U.K. looking likely to stock them at the moment.

I’ve got one of their L119A2’s, & I can confirm it’s a thing of Beaty! It’s a solidly built & performs brilliantly, only issue I’ve had is the grub screw for the buffer retaining pin came loose, but a quick strip down & some blue thread lock soon solved the issue

You lucky bugger. I wish I was in a position to be confident that I wouldn’t have any issues getting one imported, but being on a reenactment society defence I can see customs just chucking it in the skip and it would honestly break my heart. Not to mention my back balance. I really thought some of the U.K. stores would have jumped on these though and got some in stock. I’m sure they wouldn’t hang around long, even at the high price.

  10. So I’ve heard. I’ve not seen one up close, but they look amazing from what I’ve seen online. I had a TM MWS done up as an L119A2, but it just didn’t seem right without the monolithic upper. I’d probably sell most of my collection for an Archwick.

  11. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a decent retention holster to fit a Glock 17 with a Surefire X300V? I’m not wanting to pay silly money, but open to suggestions. I’ve got a couple of Fobus Lighthouse holsters, but I don’t really like the locking/retention system. Something with a thumb drive would be good. There are a bunch around, but the issue I’m having is that the X300V is a longer torch than the usual X300 or X300U so it doesn’t seem to fit most styles.

  12. Archwick are doing some really nice stuff and I like the look of their L119A2 a lot. The kits for the Marui MWS aren’t much cheaper than the full GHK build so I’d expect the LMT to be around the same price. Also, they don’t seem to have a very large manufacturing base, which I’m sure keeps up the high quality, but means there’s not many around. I’ve not seen any available in the U.K. even though I’m sure quite a few people would be willing to buy them. Me included. It seems unlikely U.K. retailers will stock the LMT kits if their not able or willing to stock the L119A2’s unfortunately. That kind of leaves us with buying from an Asian store and it’s a lot of cash to throw away if customs decide their not willing to let it in, or if something happens to it in transit.

  13. Personally when I advertise stuff I usually make it clear that the price includes PayPal and postage fees. In this case quango2k hasn’t mentioned PayPal, just delivery. So it does leave room for confusion. As it is advised that all transactions go via PayPal I can see why you would expect PayPal fees to be included in his price. But once it is clear that the PayPal fees are extra, if you didn’t want to pay the extra, personally I would have left it at that. Thanks, but no thanks. I feel that posting a bad review was probably an unnecessary step to far. I wouldn’t necessarily say either of you were being an asshole, just a situation that could probably have been dealt with better.

Nice. I want a different stock on my URG-I. I think I’m going to go with a tan B5 Sopmod, but the Magpul with the riser looks nice. That may be an option. Is that a genuine Insight torch or a replica?

  15. Well my dispute is in with Aliexpress so I’ll see what happens with that, but in the meantime I’m pretty much done with my Clay Spenser build. One or two little touches left to do, needs a better charging handle, but other than that, even with the damage, I’m very happy with it. I think it looks great with my Jason Hayes build.

Ali Express are good with dealing with disputes

I have had a couple of partial refunds for kit that has turned up sub-par or just shite!

If you can live with the dent, I would DEFINITELY raise the issue, I wouldn’t be surprised if you get offered 50% of the purchase price back by them.

Then it’s worth living with 👌

    edit:

fuck me , I’ve just seen how much that cost

    100% get a claim in mate 😳

Yeah, I guess it can’t harm to ask. Nothing to lose I suppose.
