Yeah, you’re right. It is SRC. I thought there was a VFC one, but looks like I was mistaken. It’s difficult to keep right when everything gets labelled Umarex. I think I’ll just hang on for a GHK.

I’m guessing most people here are familiar with Black Hawk Down, so mine’s probably pretty obvious. But, for those that don’t know, Super64 was the call sign of Micheal Durant’s MH-60 Black Hawk during Operation Gothic Serpent, the second Black Hawk to be shot down, which then became the location of Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart’s heroic action. I’ve always been interested in aviation as well as military equipment, and I’ve always admired the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. So, when I was looking for a username for the airsoft forums, Super64 just seemed to fit.

Has anyone been able to compare the GHK with the VFC Gen 5 MOS? If so, how do they compare? I’m torn between which one to get. I’ve watched a couple of reviews on line, but they all seem to be from stores, so it’s difficult to know how genuine the review is. The big plus for the GHK is the availability of a steel slide, which doesn’t seem to be an option for the VFC. But, VFC seem to be better shooting guns, especially compared the the previous GHK Glock.

Parts listed below from tip to butt, Z-Parts Mk12 suppressor Z-Parts steel, Mk12 muzzle brake kit Alloy barrel extension Z-Parts steel 14.5 inch outer barrel Z-Parts steel gas block Unknown make, Mk 12 Mod 0 handguard with monolithic top rail and flip up front sight. This set has been painted black by the previous owner. Airsoft Artisan Mk 12 Mod 1 KAC rail Harris style bipod Nuprol 3-9x40 illuminated scope Angry Gun M16A2 stock All upgrades are external. The internals are stock, with no upgrades. This would probably benefit from having a longer inner barrel fitted. It currently has the stock 14.5 inch inner barrel. The outer barrel with the extension and muzzle brake is probably nearer 20 inches, then, with the suppressor fitted it’s longer still. There’s a tendency for the bbs to break up in the suppressor, but an extended inner barrel should resolve that. It doesn’t seem to be an issue with the suppressor removed. I’ve only fired around 10 rounds in my garden, so I can’t confirm accuracy or FPS. Any questions or more pictures, message me.£700

Yeah, I’d be a bit hesitant as well if straight of the bat it was a case of, can you email me. Especially if it’s a new member, no, or very few posts and no feedback. Probably best to ignore those, or be very wary when dealing with them.

As someone who buys and sells on the forums quite a bit, I have done deals which have started out on the forum, but then moved to email. A few of my most recent sales have been done that way. There are a number of benefits to messaging back and forth via email. For me, it’s easier to read and reply to emails when at work or out and about than it is to keep going on line into the forum. Also, I find I can send more photos via email. I find that when I try to send a number of photos they’re often classed as too large, exceeding the data size limit. I make sure I do all my due diligence on the forum. Check the other parties forum history, feedback and make sure ukara and age are sorted, but there are benefits to using emails instead of forum messaging.

Pictures: Attached New condition VFC M16A1 which I received last week. Bought as a project, but I’ve decided to sell it on as I have other plans. I’ve had the M203 for some time, but is still in great condition, fully functioning. Fits perfectly, solid, no wobble. None of the steel parts have been installed, all new condition. Scratch on the receiver was done by me while trying to fit the M203 handguard. The delta ring spring is very stiff on this, so took a lot of effort to install the handguard. Unfortunately, I scratched the paint with my wrench while fitting it. It’s just the paintwork, no gauge in the metalwork. The paint on these is very thin. I was going to touch it up, but thought I’d leave it for full disclosure to any potential purchaser. Personally, I think this is perfect for painting in a Desert Storm SAS scheme.£700

The LCT handguard has been modified to get it to fit. Just a little of the plastic shaved off inside the handguard. Not visible at all. The hole for the push pin doesn’t line up fully, so the pin won’t go all the way through, as pictured. But, when it’s in, the pin is very tight, won’t drop out, and the handguard is solid with no wobble.£500

It’s a bit of a shame that they’ve abandoned the steel slide, but I’m guessing from a sales point of view, it’ll make it more competitive with the VFC and TM versions. I’m after an MOS Glock 17, so I’ll wait for some reviews on this before deciding whether to go with the GHK or the VFC. I’ll also have to weigh up the cost of the whole package, because I’ll be wanting a steel slide.

Unfortunately, there’s no specific details on the Facebook page. I know there’s some suggestion it was going to be an aluminium slide with a steel slide as an aftermarket. Also, from the picture, only Asia is getting the Cerakote. Which is a shame. And the mounting plate isn’t included. I would hope that would all be reflected in the price. With VFC also releasing a number of MOS variants, it’ll be interesting to see what’s the better option.
