  1. I have been sent shotgun primers via UPS Collection point Can't remember how some 9mm blanks got sent to me from another place ages ago These blanks/primers are a weird mofo in how you can/can't buy them etc..... some places will sell 'em and ship no problem as long as ya 18 one or two won't ship them - collection only a proper firearms place does them in bulk at crazy prices - shotgun primers but demand firearms license only Then again Zero One made me fill out a pyro / blank firing form - even though they had my ukara details fill in, scan & email it all back to them - just buy a BFG - no blanks just the BFG FFS So yes it is very unclear to say the least on blanks and think nigh on all couriers would say no way if you disclosed it My best proper advice - only send the blanks if you have the proper box for them - not loose ffs so that all of them are kept apart from each other wrapped up very very well maybe send the bfg & blanks seperately but will push up postage - but at least if blanks get stopped the bfg won't (hopefully) it is always a risk of hassle even sending a gbb glock or a friggin lipo battery - especially with the increased security atm think mainly as long as buyer is 18+, that is main issue if I was selling
  2. if its silicone - washing up liquid is about the only thing to remove that icy mofo slippery $hit when we have spilt it at work - loads of chemicals does jack it needs soapy suds to lift that crap out or we have an ice skating rink at work
  3. well I suppose after 20,000 rounds it might wear off at a push - take out the barrel and hop, dip the end into WARM SOAPY water as said maybe a cotton bud or Q-tip to clean might get the worst of it off but the oil may have got into the bucking lips as well as the window that presses down on bb so you may have to strip it in the end by all means dip the hop unit into soapy suds and should help to take the curse of it - nowt to lose might get it worn off eventually but reckon it will take more than a bag of bb's plus you said it wasn't just a tiny bit of oil so you need to remove that crap very well and get it clean squeaky and grippy once more how fortunate or lucky you might be depends on the oil - wd40 might not be ultra ultra difficult to clean if it was silicone oil though - yeah ya f*cked - best start stripping it down
  4. Alas strip hop unit carefully, remove rubber bucking that is the problem wash in warm very soapy washing up liquid - lots of suds washing up liquid is a degreaser so will remove oily crap to a "squeaky clean" result that is what you want to grip and apply spin to bb youtube is your friend hopefully bucking removes ok & no damage, minor smear of silicone OUTSIDE to assist in replacing bucking/barrel into hop fingers crossed it should then perform as it should failing that if rubber bucking gets damaged - order another one (or two) always keep any oil/cleaning stuff away from hop unit - well you have discovered why this is so best of luck ps - don't worry many drunks mess with their toys and thinking it isn't loaded coz mag is out..... blows the crap out of their 50" flat screen TV - now that is mega dumbass a bb fired inside ya house goes EVERYWHERE - but often where it can do plenty of damage eg: TV or worse your own eye so your little mishap is nothing really - alcohol & airsoft don't mix well (well alcohol wipes are good but other than that any other form of alcohol is not wise) ps - by the sounds of it - chuck the hop unit in the soapy water too but watch out for the tiny tiny little nub on the arm to bucking you need that so don't lose it - very easily done at a push a wd40 red straw or bic biro ink tube can be cut as a makeshift nub pps - I'm sober & clueless
  5. Unless you spend a min £1,000 on your gun you are not welcome here - peasant !!! Mega Kidding m8 - this forum is filled with a massive mixture of toy gun owners and all of them are a decent helpful lovely lovely lovely people Most of us have bought crap stuff when starting out from JBBG - or bought stuff we "thought" would be ideal only to find out we don't actually like what we first thought would be a great idea/gun/loadout etc...... Read up on Ian's guide, wish I had a decent gun will set you back about £150-ish Yes you can buy a STFU gun and be done with it but this toy gun hobby is much like anything in life you usually start out and build up to better stuff as you yourself get further into it To me this allows you to develop, hone and perfect your own skills, discovering YOUR actual strengths/weakness and the role/type of player or play style that suits you best and what sites you prefer to run around like a pretend pew pew toy soldier As you grow - so does your collection tee hee, no but as you yourself grow then you actually warrant/appreciate a higher end gun Don't get me wrong - if you can afford it and wish to spend £500+ on a higher end aeg then why not I think it is like passing your driving test - yeah most end getting a Ford Focus, Escort, Ka or others like Nova, Corsa or a 106/206 run-around But some may just think wtf and go out for an Audi, BMW or other mid/higher end car from day one if they can or parents can afford it I could buy a higher end gun/car/designer clothes or gadgets in my own home but never been one for latest high end expensive stuff I just don't see myself personally having all that stuff - though I have stopped buying most stuff now cheap or expensive Guys on here can help you with what ever your budget is Get a nice gun by all means - just remember though very often it is the player not the gun that wins the game or as my late father said: Fine clothes do not make a gentleman yup buy a £150 G&G to say a £300 Krytac if you can afford it - no more I feel until you really get hooked if anybody looks down their nose at ya then wait until you are out on field.... Yeah sure Mr Jumped Up Ar$ehole - I'll cover ya..... (will I f*ck as you dry fire at enemy watching as he gets shot to $hit) Seriously - thought crosses my mind but I'm not like that really (well most of the time) there is a bit of snobbery like most things in life but in general I'd say most players can think back to when they started out and often welcome new players into the sport very well btw welcome to the forum - ignore 99.999% of what I say as often it 101% pure bollox
  6. not unless you barrel is f*cked even if bb curves it is nigh on 99.9999% bucking related if you want to f*ck with stuff that may be perfectly ok then I STRONGLY suggest get super duper madbull bollox tight bore over priced that don't do $hit - well a modest zci one will do get new hop unit & bucking etc.... fit it all together - if it works like even worse $hit - then you can go back to ya stock G&G one with its decent green bucking you are itching to mess with stuff - if you really really have to f*ck with stuff then buy barrel/hop/bucking and leave stuff that might be ok well alone for now most of the range accuracy comes from hop/bucking but as I said - get another complete unit to f*ck about with rather than screw up something that you later find out wasn't as bad as you thought this is one of the many lessons I have learnt amongst many many others - most of which fall into same rule of thumb IF IT AIN'T BROKE - DO NOT TRY TO FIX/F*CK WITH IT
  7. 101% agree unless you want ya SRS also in for servicing leave it as is for now or at least wait until your m14 is back up to scratch..... then you can decide or perhaps deans & say shs torque motor but keep juice low on 7.4v lipo (push 11.1v and piston will strip/snap very quickly) beyond that you need to open her up which really really should not be needed unless its shooting $hit and below 300fps etc.... alcho wipes and a drop - I mean a drop of silicone on a soft tissue/rag clean only 80% of barrel - keep away from hop ffs dry cloth to polish and that is it seriously consider leaving it alone for the moment - it ain't 2 weeks old yet if Black Friday deal - just about 10 days since you took delivery unless you like ripping apart new guns and making them worse - that is my job btw
  8. Short motor, shs torque is another option. Most likely hop rubber bucking might need checking. Piston, piston head replacement - well only if starting to wear. Better options, AoE with sorbo + new piston ring, PTFE tape on cylinder head, o-ring nozzle, plus grease. Reshim if you think of needs it or leave if OK. Going whole hog, rewire MOSFET deans All depends on where you start/stop Or another way to look at it: What breaks next ? Short motor in g36 & AK's
  9. I wouldn't mind being a young player as opposed to an old unfit fart that discovered airsoft late in life Same as 2-Toner's - couldn't really give a crap if ya 13 or 30 If you play maturely and not a dick then anybody is welcome to play toy guns with moi Think I'm one of the most immature players tbh (Missus has always said I'm immature) Play fair, safe, maybe semi mature if we run around woods dressed up with toy guns pew pew pewwww
  10. Think if you walk on water or very very experienced or lucky R-Hop does perform a "little" better than a "good" flat hop That said - hop/barrel is one mofo area I have so much to learn I've fitted a FireFly to one barrel - think it was a softer blue bridged one in a zci tbb took me time - looks good yup Hmmmm.... - not so great, back to a decent cyma stock barrel/hop - better range and straight flight yeah - I have still so much to learn especially in hop area
  11. I got a SR25 from BBGuns4less at £110 needing attention - seems ok other than a borked stock extended gearbox seems fine (thought it might be cracked was my worst fear) 6mm metal bushings but at least I got option of say mild speed gears like 16:1 bevel/spur on 19tooth sector maybe (12-13-14:1 are not option but better than say 21:1 used on most other long boxes like R85's) so could carefully get some better trigger response but carefully avoiding PE if I stick to say 20rps Oh well - that is way down my list of possible things to do - but always wanted one (yup could of got one for about £140+ at GF but was gonna rip her apart anyway)
  12. Same site as your UKARA entry is linked to your regular site you did your 3 games at
  13. Buy less and use the stuff I got Get off my ar$e more and get out there more often than 2015
  14. http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_reviews.php?products_id=2656 Think I got that one somewhere and sure its a smart type your one seems to be this one maybe ??? http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=2659 "might" be a "smart" charger type - normally they have 2 lights: charging & charged - so "should" stop charging your one has 3 lights - 3rd to discharge battery, then charge & charged I guess So glad I wasn't born in France I can't speak a friggin' word of French so soz not best one to translate it all for ya as I studied French with Del Boy Trotter
  15. Hold up, looking on zero one it might not be a smart charger. Reviews says it drains battery then charges it up with desired settings but clearly states about maths crap. Blimey - my old nimahs were smart chargers... If you can't get on with it lmk and I'll flog ya one of me smart ones cheap Or they are about £12 on eBay for a vapex smart type I think. Sure I got a z1 smart charger knocking about somewhere. Soz my bad for assuming it must be a smart charger - oops
  16. Welcome or welcome back sir Still a fun place for toys and boys that refuse to grow up
  17. Ps all that maths crap was for working out how to charge on a crappy cheap non-smart charger BTW (Suppose those chargers should be called DUMB ASS CHARGERS) OK I'll get me coat
  18. Oh f*ck it whack it on 1000.... Should be a smart charger so will stop charging when done I got a couple that do 1a or 2a and charged on 1a mostly but that still took a while So doing ya battery at a lower setting will take yonks Also nimah's don't hold their charge for weeks or months on end, so don't be shocked to charge them up this weekend and have little juice if ya go shooting next weekend
  19. Been reading up since this post as my crappy D68 project and also noticed just how long all the v3 triggers are to pull. So far made some progress without half the modding with a pin and f*ck knows what some old posts have said in the past. Some plastic strips 2mm to 3mm thick by 4mm wide & JB Weld is all you need Seems that it may work bloomin' well but still early days But much easier than some friggin' guides I have seen Reckon the placement/places will also hold up well But time will tell, could get very very fine trigger pull with a little modding of cut off or just reduce the pull by half with little else messing about Will see how she fares and maybe post up my findings if it still works over chrimbo say (Saves going to outlaws I guess)
  20. Think there was a FAMAS M4 mag project too If you got time to get into this side of modding You either got too much time or ya hands Or like me really crap at airsoft
  21. Eh ??? TWA website.... Think it's is about £45 full day rental package (Inc hire and game fee plus a some bb's) When you got ya own gun: £20 full day walk on as they say £10 for half day walk on Cheap n cheerful Or get a 2-tone G&G Raider from zero one free 2-tone Will save ya 3+ hire fees, flogg it when upgrade Or fairy power spray to remove 2-tone Look in new players section for Ian's guide to noobism Loads of info about starting out without splashing too much
  22. Might only like daylight Also my 3200 can be a right bitch if angle of gun ain't quite 101% correct Bloody give me TOUT TOUT TOUT I stopped playing with Thomas the Tank Engine years ago (Well OK maybe 2 months ago)
  23. Dunno about TEAM..... I always get told: " Look m8 - you're $hit, there's no U in this TEAM !! " I try to play at Tactical Warefare Airsoft Croydon/Addington area Not ultra serious, more of a chilled noobie place (suits me with my toy guns) If ya real serious then Sandpitt at Dartford (No 2-tones though) Never been maybe one day, but I just go for a pew pew in the woods If hard core Epsom bunker is closing so you might get 1 mad game of MURDER IN THE DARK next week (Mental full on in pitch black)
  24. Thought it was some "hybrid" electric and gas mofo Electric running the gears tappet bb loading Slightly low powered piston striking a valve to fire a gas mag Don't sound like usual sewing machine So something is different in there Probably totally wrong but first thought is a ICS box with a m40 spring hitting a m4 gas mag ? Nice but sticking to old skool for now
